Planning a Visit to Historical Boston, boston travel guide.#Boston #travel #guide

A Historical Guide to Boston

Boston isn t just the capital of Massachusetts — it can truly be considered New England s capital. Boston can t be beat for historic appeal, fine hotels, family attractions, shopping that runs the gamut from antiques to trendy boutiques, multicultural dining experiences, theater and other performances, public events and festivals and, of course, pubs!

Whether you ve visited Boston many times or only know the city through impressions formed by watching episodes of Cheers, Ally McBeal, or Fringe, this travel guide is designed to help you plan your trip with an eye to finding the most interesting things to see and do.

Historic Foodie Stops

As every American knows, the Sons of Liberty hatched the rebellion against the British that eventually became the American Revolution in Boston. Names like Sam Adams, John Adams, Paul Revere, Dr. Joseph Warren, and John Hancock are familiar even to elementary school students. They met in the Green Dragon Tavern, which dates to 1654. The Green Dragon still is serving Bostonians brews (and much more), although it is not the original where the Sons of Liberty met. That building no longer exists, but there is a picture of it on the wall in the current incarnation. It s off the beaten tourist track but a must-see for lovers of American history.

Another great foodie stop is the Union Oyster House, which is a National Historic Landmark and America s oldest continuously operating restaurant. It is housed in a pre-Revolutionary building near Faneuil Hall and has been serving Bostonians since 1826.

It was a favorite haunt of Daniel Webster, and much later on of John F. Kennedy, who stopped in for lobster stew every Sunday when he was in Boston. If you re looking for old-fashioned Yankee atmosphere, you ll relish the restaurant s hand-hewn, wooden ceiling beams, wide-planked wood floors, and cozy booths.

Or belly up to the famous, semi-circular oyster bar, where upward of 3,000 oysters are shucked on a busy day.

Historic Must-Sees in Boston

The No. 1 attraction for history-loving visitors to Boston is a walk along the 2.5-mile Freedom Trail. You get acquainted with Boston and visit the city s bounty of historic landmarks all at the same time you walk along this well-marked path. It covers 16 stops, beginning at Boston Common and ending in Charlestown at the Bunker Hill Monument. Along the way, you will see Paul Revere s House, the Old State House, and the Old South Meeting House.

Check out Faneuil Hall, which has been a marketplace for Boston since 1743 and is near the Old State House, Union Oyster House, and the Freedom Trail.

Get in on the revolutionary action with the interactive Boston Tea Party of Dec. 16. 1773, which is put on every day at the Boston Tea Party Ships Museum. You get to see what it felt like to dump tea in Boston Harbor in a pivotal nose-thumbing at King George III by the colonists in Boston.

Top Things to Do

Baseball fans everywhere (except possibly New York Yankees fans) will surely want to catch a Red Sox game at Fenway Park if they re in Boston during baseball season.

Even Yankees fans might want to sneak a look at Fenway.

The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, unveiled its Art of the Americas Wing in 2010. It holds a bounty of American treasures like a Sons of Liberty bowl crafted by Paul Revere in 1768 and paintings of Revolutionary heroes like George Washington.

Boston s Top Annual Events

If you can t get to Ireland for St. Patrick s Day, Boston is the No. 1 stand-in. Boston s grand celebration is on March 17 every year; check online about that year s events if you plan to be in Boston during this ultimate Irish event.

Patriot s Day, celebrated on the third Monday in April every year, marks the first battles of the American Revolution, which took place on April 19, 1775, on Lexington Green and Old North Bridge in Concord. Celebrations include re-enactments of the battles and Paul Revere s famous midnight ride through the Massachusetts countryside.

These events make this pivotal American history literally come alive.

The annual Boston Harborfest, which runs for nearly a week around the 4th of July, is America s largest patriotic celebration.

In Mongolia, the Skyline by the Steppes – The New York

In Mongolia, the Skyline by the Steppes

By JOSH WEIL AUG. 2, 2013

Mongolia travel

In September the hills around Ulan Bator, the rough and roiling capital of Mongolia, are flecked with wildflowers. Below them, districts of gers, or yurts, encircle the city. The circular canvas structures, insulated with felt and supported by poles, have housed central Asian nomads since before the time of Genghis Khan — before there even was a Mongolia. Now, half of the nation’s population lives permanently in or near the capital. Look beyond the gers, to where the offices and condominiums rise, and you’ll see why: Ulan Bator is booming. Construction cranes spike the sky. Traffic — Hummers and Lexuses, jacked-up jalopies and crammed city buses — churns. It’s impossible to ignore the economic surge that copper, gold and coal mining have brought to the city in recent years.

It has brought visitors, too. In the past decade, as Mongolia’s G.D.P. has more than doubled, tourism has increased along with it. In the first half of last year more than 280,000 travelers visited Mongolia (mostly from China, Russia and South Korea, with Americans the fourth-largest group), on track to beat by 50 percent the number of annual visitors just a decade ago. Yet, despite this influx, Mongolia remains the world’s least densely populated country — just over three million people inhabit its 600,000 square miles. This is a land where, in the vast sweep of endless steppes, you can lose yourself in quietude.

Unless you’re still in Ulan Bator, along with nearly half the country’s population.

“U.B.,” Dan Bailey told me on my first day in the city, “is the worst part of Mongolia.” As a fishing guide who leads treks along the country’s rivers, he should know. And by evening I was ready to agree with him. After all, I hadn’t come to Mongolia to see a city. Hardly anybody does. Most tourists find themselves in Ulan Bator because that’s where Genghis Khan International Airport is; they tend to leave as soon as they can.

But in a week of wandering its streets I got to know two Ulan Bators: the clamorous one of concrete and crowds that assaults you upon arrival, and the culturally rich, charismatic one that embraces you once you give it a chance. In 1990 protesters threw off the yoke of a splintering Soviet Union. Though that uprising might seem fitting for a land that was once home to an irrepressible horde of conquering horsemen, the current economic revolution has led to an industrial boom at odds with the pastoral Mongolia many visitors hope to find. This is a city of smog and snarled traffic, of 50 Cent blasting from a screen opposite the State Department Store; a place where a Versace outlet encroaches on the square where Lenin’s statue stood until last October, when it was hoisted away and auctioned off.

This is the Ulan Bator that Jan Wigsten, the Swedish founder of the tour company Nomadic Journeys, means when he speaks of a capital in the “overdrive of transition.” Mr. Wigsten has been going to Mongolia for more than 30 years. He has seen building entrances shift from courtyards that featured playgrounds and gardens (“that Communist idea of communal use”) to doors that open directly onto the street. He has seen the swarms of street kids that once suffused the city with a sense of desperation, and the way economic expansion swept the streets clean of them. “It’s like being in the ’50s,” he said of the economic boom and all its social implications.

Indeed, the Ulan Bator I first stepped out into did seem like a city at the beginning of a prosperous decade: avenues clogged with more cars than they could handle, people hurrying to work, restaurants with signs advertising fast food. But the signs weren’t advertising burgers and fries; instead, chains like Khaan Buuz and Mongol Khuushur dish up buuz (steamed mutton dumplings) and khuushuur (the same, deep fried). I drank suutei tsai — salty milk tea with a sheen of fat — and ate with my hands until my fingers glistened. This seemed the quickest way to get close to the culture, at least until I could get out into the rural Mongolia I’d come for.

Mongolia travel

The second Ulan Bator is the city I could only appreciate weeks later, after days of hitching my way across the central steppe, nights camping in a storm-battered tent, and another stretch riding a half-wild horse through the mountains that border Siberia. And then there were the endless meals of gristly mutton eaten around smoky stoves inside herders’ gers, the unceasing cups of greasy tea.

But, upon my return to Ulan Bator, I discovered a variety of cosmopolitan cuisines uniquely fitting to a culture created by conquering — and uniting — so many disparate corners of the world.

My culinary journey began in the Sansar neighborhood, behind the wrestling stadium, at an incongruously tranquil restaurant, Hazara, named for the north Indian tribe that, in the 13th century, followed Genghis Khan’s army back to the Mongolian Steppe. After weeks of bland Mongolian food, I nearly swooned at the mammoth leg of cardomom-scented lamb marinated in rum and baked in a tandoori oven, served alongside baingan bharta (mashed eggplant, tomatoes and onions spiced with chiles and coriander), then sank into a satisfied stupor amid the larch logs and curtains that make each table its own secluded hideaway.

Another outstanding eating experience awaited me at Urlag, tucked inside the Culture Palace. Urlag is not just a Korean restaurant, but a North Korean one. Despite the novelty of an opera honoring “Dear Leader” looped on the TV, it was the food that surprised me: a cold dish of glassy buckwheat noodles set afire with a kimchi sauce, and roast duck so delicious it brought me back the next night.

At Naran Tuul, the bustling market east of the city, where furriers hawk hats that dangle fox paws, and smartphones are sold alongside horse tack, I stopped by a tsainy gazar, or teahouse. There I found a plate of tsuban (noodles and mutton) accompanied by shreds of honest-to-God carrots, not to mention coleslaw and potato salad and fresh steamed mantuu buns.

Food wasn’t the only thing I came to appreciate in Ulan Bator. Though traveling through the steppe had imbued me with admiration for those who live there, mostly nomadic herders of horses, sheep, goats and yaks, it was in Ulan Bator that I encountered the history that gives them such fortitude. A metropolis established just over 200 years ago as a nomadic encampment called the City of Felt, Ulan Bator isn’t much for ancient architecture. And in a country purged by Soviets of monks and monasteries, the unremarkable Buddhist monasteries of Choijin Lama and Gandan Khiid are likely to disappoint.

Mongolia travel

But the core of this country’s past is in the centuries before the capital existed, and that history comes most powerfully to life in the National Museum of Mongolian History. Here in a concrete building west of Sukhbaatar Square, quotes from the nation’s founder line the walls. Walking among armor and trumpets made from human bones, I could almost hear Genghis Khan’s voice: “Listen, my sons, my life was too short to achieve the conquest of the world. That task is for you.”

Today, Mongolia is 15 times smaller than at the empire’s peak, but still far too large to explore in the month I had there. So it was in the little-visited halls of the locked-up Wildlife Museum that I came closest to comprehending the country’s vast natural world. Once I’d found the key-keeper, and he’d lighted the dusty taxidermy displays — from wolves caught midsnarl to ram skulls sprouting huge horns — the realization hit me: how wondrous an array of animals, and how precious the dwindling wildlife that’s left.

Which is just another reason to see this country now. Although the Ministry of Nature Environment and Tourism has set aside almost 15 percent of the land in protected areas like Mongol Daguur and Khustain National Park, the mining boom continues to rip away grassland from the gazelles that graze in the east, dig in to the desert home of rare wild camels and Gobi bears, and eat away at the habitat of reindeer, wolves and the last snow leopards in the northern mountains.

From food trucks to finer dining spots, you’d be hard-pressed to find places to eat in Portland where you’ll get the side-eye for wearing jeans. Eating well—especially eating farm-to-table—is a cultural obsession here, whether you’re having a $4 egg sandwich or a $30 entrée. Though many chefs around Portland have James Beard Awards and Top Chef wins, it’s still rare to wait more than an hour for brunch or dinner, even at the city’s hottest restaurants—the toughest spots to get a table are Screen Door, Pok Pok, and Ava Gene’s. And if an hour wait is too long, there’s always a great place nearby to have a drink—or you can just head to the food carts.

The best restaurants in Portland offer eclectic dining opportunities as well as modern twists on traditional dishes, sure to satisfy even the most discerning foodies. At Pok Pok, James Beard Award-winning chef Andy Ricker serves up a fusion menu inspired by classic Thai cuisine and served in a trendy, low-key environment. Locals’ favorites include Vietnamese chicken wings, boar collar, and Thai noodle soups. At Nostrana, award-winning chef Cathy Whims turns out authentic Italian cuisine with a rustic, lightly modern take. She makes her mozzarella in-house daily, imported her wood-burning oven from Tuscany, and works closely with her farmers to incorporate local produce into the menu, even if it’s not a traditional Italian ingredient.

Vibrant walls, mismatched chairs, and unfinished floors give this hole-in-the-wall a lived-in feel. When the place is packed, grab a seat at a picnic. Read More

On select itineraries, travellers gain insights from Local Experts — listen to a tribal elder’s insights into the life of the native North American Indian in Pablo, Montana.

Get a behind-the-scenes look at places distinctive to an area, like San Francisco’s iconic cable car museum. Step back in time as you wander among antique cable cars from the 1870s.

Remember Trafalgar also offers an unrivalled private VIP door-to-door airport transfer service, meaning your holiday begins the moment you leave home.

    Overland Morocco Travel

    Visiting Morocco [ edit ]

From beaches to sand dunes to mountains and lakes, Morocco has it all and is considered to be one of the best countries in the world for Overlanding.

The people of Morocco are extremely friendly and welcoming, adding to the amazing experiences on offer here.

Entering Morocco with a Car or Motorcycle [ edit ]

    Correct as of: September 2017

Travel Visa for Morocco [ edit ]

Currently UK and EU citizens, Canadians, Americans and Australians Morocco can stay for three months without visa. You will be given the entrance stamp at the border or on the ferry. Some east European nationals as well as South Africans and others require a visa which must be applied for in advance and which lasts a month.

    Required Documents [ edit ]

No special document are required to enter, except of course for your original Vehicle registration.

You fill out an immigration card at the border (or on the boat) as well as a temporary vehicle importation document (TVIP; D16). Processing is fast and easy.

Process at border [ edit ]

Cost of entry [ edit ]

Permitted length of stay [ edit ]

Typically three months per person and up to six months per calender year for the vehicle.

Extension of stay [ edit ]

It’s probably easier to nip back to Spain and back than get bogged down with extending your stay at some office.

Storing a vehicle and temporarily leaving the country [ edit ]

This can be done with Customs at airports. Details on Horizons Unlimited Morocco Forum

    Exiting with a vehicle [ edit ]

Get stamped out of the country, then get the customs to cancel your TVIP.

You keep one copy, they keep the other.

Driving in Morocco [ edit ]

Travel insurance for Morocco [ edit ]

World Nomads offer the most flexible Travel Insurance at the best prices for multi-country / multi-year trips. You can buy, extend and claim online, even after you’ve left home.

Vehicle insurance requirements [ edit ]

Insurance is available at most ports of entry. Tangier Med (the easiest port to enter Morocco) has booths alongside bureau des changes, just beyond customs. You may be covered by your own insurance, but check first. These days few UK companies will issue a green card extension for Morocco.

Cost of vehicle insurance [ edit ]

You can buy insurance (assurance frontiers) at some ports of entry for fixed periods of 10 days, one month and three months from د.م620.00 MAD to د.م1,950.00 MAD for a motorcycle or car. (A 100 MAD is about 10 euro). Motorhomes are at least double. It’s the vehicle that’s covered so anyone can drive who holds a full licence.

Where to purchase vehicle insurance [ edit ]

    At the port on entry.

    Driving licence [ edit ]

    Your home licence is sufficient.

Driving side of road [ edit ]

RHD vehicles can be driven in Morocco.

Mandatory items in vehicle [ edit ]

State any mandatory items that must be carried in the vehicle. (i.e. safety triangle, first aid kit, fire extinguisher, etc.)

    Roads [ edit ]

General road quality [ edit ]

Road quality varies. Some paved highways are excellent and can be traveled at almost 100km/h, while mountain tracks can be extremely rough and slow going. Beward of hazards like reckless drivers, wandering animals, unsigned speed bumps and large pot holes.

    Road signs [ edit ]

Road signs are usually present showing the way and distance to the next major city. Street names are often not signed in cities.

    Toll roads [ edit ]

Motorways in Morocco take tolls. As an estimate it costs around د.م220.00 MAD to travel down the A1 from Tangiers to Marrakech, about a day’s drive

Bribery in Morocco [ edit ]

Bribery is uncommon, though it does happen. Police are generally friendly and very professional.

    Checkpoints [ edit ]

Police checkpoints are common at the entrance or exit to virtually every city. As a foreigner you will be waved through most of the time. If not, show what documentation they may require (passport; insurance; TVIP).

There are many more checkpoints south of Tan Tan on the Atlantic coast and inland in Western Sahara. The officers here usually ask for a fiche (French for form), a photocopied sheet of paper you fill out in advance with your passport, vehicle and entry details. Handing over a fiche saves them laboriously writing all this information into a ledger. People have reported needing 40 fiches for all the different checkpoints. Come prepared. Download a blank template here: [1]

Police are also posted on major highways with speed radar guns, and will issue you a ticket for speeding, so keep to the limits.

Traveling with pets [ edit ]

List the entry requirements and anything else required to travel with a pet.

    Traveling europe

Don’t get on a plane without reading these timely tips.

Thanks to cheaper airfares and favorable exchange rates, Europe is more accessible than ever. Use these tips to get the most out of your next vacation.

    A Cheaper Britain

After Britons voted last year to split from the European Union, the pound sterling plummeted. While it could take until 2019 to fully cut ties, travelers will find the U.K. more affordable than it has been in decades. Many hotel properties are offering discounts to lure guests.

    Heightened Security

The U.S. State Department has issued a travel alert for all of Europe, alerting citizens to the potential risk of terrorist attacks, that will expire on Sept. 1, 2017. Expect longer lines at airport security screenings and border-control checkpoints. Check travel.state.gov before your trip.

    Fewer Tourists

Despite favorable exchange rates, terrorism has had an impact on the number of visitors to Belgium and Turkey. Though France saw a dip in visitors after attacks in Paris and Nice, it has bounced back and remains the most popular destination in the world.

    Continental Drift

While tourism growth across much of Western Europe was at in 2016, according to the United Nations World Tourism Organization, several countries in the east enjoyed double-digit gains in visitors, including Bulgaria, Serbia, and Slovenia. Leading the way, however, was Slovakia, which saw a jump of 18 percent, thanks in part to Bratislava’s fairy-tale buildings, charming squares, and Baroque castle. The city’s revitalized Old Town is a buzzing hot spot, with younger travelers drawn to its cafés and old-school beer halls.

    More Routes and Connections

There are 395 new ways to fly to Spain, which last year added the most new airline routes in Europe. Virgin Atlantic now has nonstop flights between Seattle and London, and Condor and British Airways recently began service between New Orleans and London — the former city’s first trans-Atlantic flight option in three decades.

I always read the Travel section looking for bargains and was happy to see the article about deals in Paris [“The City of Light for Less,” Money Matters, by Debbi Kickham, Nov. 26]. All the ideas were great until it came to shopping.

What I don’t understand is why a tour guide for $125 an hour is a deal. If her fee is even less than the discount I would get, I probably couldn’t afford the final price.

Black Friday Travel 2017: Flight and Hotel Deals Will Be Under

Black Friday Travel 2017: Flight and Hotel Deals Will Be Under $50

    Hotel and airfare

    Hotel and airfare

Update: Black Friday deals are now live! Click here to see sales on airfare, hotels, and more. Come back again on Cyber Monday too when more deals go live.

What to Expect From Black Friday Travel Deals

Travel deals can be tough to pin down. Plane ticket and hotel room costs vary based on where and when you’re going, so you don’t have an MSRP to compare when you’re booking. Finding the best bargain can be more about picking the right time and location for your trip than getting the right price.

But that doesn’t mean you won’t find vacations at bargain prices during Black Friday season. If you’re flexible about travel dates and destinations, you’ll see plenty of deals.

Read on to find out where and when to shop for the best Black Friday travel deals, and what kinds of deals to look for. Then, consider signing up for the DealNews Select newsletter to keep track of the latest deals in your inbox, or download our app to have them at your fingertips.

The Cheat Sheet: Black Friday Travel Predictions

    Discounts to Expect

    • Starwood and Hyatt hotel stays for 30% to 60% off
  • Off-Strip Las Vegas hotel stays under $20 a night
  • Roundtrip domestic flights for $100 or less
  • Roundtrip flights to Europe starting at $200
  • Roundtrip flights to Asia starting at $500
  • 4 Quick Tips You Need to Know

    • We often see 4- and 5-star hotel chains offer discounts for those who book directly through their sites.
  • The majority of Editors’ Choice travel deals will be available on Cyber Monday.
  • About 14% of these deals will be for last-minute travel.
  • Watch out for deals that have additional hidden fees and costs.
  • Want more details on how, what, where, and when to buy travel deals this Black Friday? Then check out our full analysis below.

Shop for Travel on Cyber Monday

You’ll see a number of deals the week before Black Friday and the week after Cyber Monday, but the best sales come on Cyber Monday itself. That’s when you’ll find the most Editors’ Choice deals. Thanksgiving and Black Friday aren’t far behind when it comes to top-shelf deals, but most of these sales will last a few days. Browsing the travel sites on Cyber Monday means you’re more likely to see the highest concentration of good offers.

Don’t wait too long to book, either! None of our Editors’ Choice deals lasted longer than nine days last year. One particularly short-lived deal was worth jumping on, as it took up to $300 off hotel and vacation packages at BookIt. The sales moved more quickly on Cyber Monday; if you see a great deal on Monday, be sure to pounce.

    Hotel and airfare

    Score Serious Hotel Savings

About a third of travel deals this Black Friday season will be for hotels. Since the hotel is one of the biggest vacation expenses, getting a good deal here can really cut your vacation costs.

Hotel deals tend to focus on high-end properties, so plan to look for 4- and 5-star properties. You can expect flat discounts (either a percentage or a specific dollar amount off) from hotel booking sites like Expedia and Hotels.com, as well as major hotel chains like Starwood and Hyatt (where you should look for deals offering between 30% and 60% off).

You’ll also find offers for individual properties with low per-night prices. Last year, we saw two off-the-Strip Las Vegas hotels going for as low as $18 per night! You’re likely to find these on your favorite travel aggregator site. Just be aware that the lowest prices will only be available on certain dates.

All-inclusive hotels and resorts, which include meals and sometimes other amenities, are also common Black Friday deals. Just remember, if you’re paying for these extras even at sale prices be sure you’re going to make use of them. Don’t let sale prices trick you into paying for more than you need.

    Hotel and airfare

    Save a Bundle on Flights

While hotel deals are more common during the Thanksgiving holidays, airfare is a close second. Look for domestic flights starting at $20 each way, with deals available from almost every airline. Last year Frontier offered the lowest fares, but Alaska Airlines, JetBlue, Spirit, Southwest, and United all offered domestic roundtrip airfare for under $100.

You’ll pay more for international travel, with fares to Mexico and South America starting at $100 roundtrip, fares to Europe from $200 roundtrip, and fares to Asia from $500 roundtrip. While Delta and Southwest offered good international deals, you’ll primarily want to look to international carriers like Emirates, Norwegian, and WOW Air for these deals.

Just be aware when shopping that the sale price advertised may not be the price you’ll get. Your actual fare depends on where you’re traveling from and when you’re traveling.

For example, consider last year’s lowest airfare offer: one-way domestic flights on Frontier Airlines for $19 each. While that’s a very appealing price, it was only valid for flights from Atlanta to Orlando, Denver, Dallas, Los Angeles, and Chicago. If your destination wasn’t on that list, you would wind up paying a lot more for your ticket.

It’s Not the Time to Rent a Car

Last year we found only a single sale on rental cars over the Thanksgiving holidays. If you need a rental car for your next trip, it’s worth checking to see if any agencies are having Cyber Monday sales but don’t count on scoring a deal.

    Check What’s Included

Even if it looks like you have a great price, you need to double-check what is and what isn’t included before you buy. If you’re buying a package or an all-inclusive deal, consider whether the price is worth everything that’s included. If the value just doesn’t add up, it’s probably best to look at individual deals and build your own vacation package.

Unexpected fees can also eat into your budget. Airlines are the most common source of travel fees, with the price often going up for every checked bag. But hotels have their fees, too, with charges for WiFi, parking, and more. Even seemingly all-inclusive packages, like an all-inclusive resort or a cruise, may charge you for alcohol or premium coffee drinks.

Unless you’re sure of what you’re getting, you could wind up paying more than you bargained for.

    Hotel and airfare

Your Travel Dates May Not Be Available

Unlike buying a television or a toaster, travel deals tend to come with restrictions. They may only be available on certain dates or at certain locations, restricting when and where you can go. Of last year’s best Black Friday deals, 14% were last-minute requiring travel before the end of December. Still, most offers let you travel through spring or later.

Watch out for minimum stay requirements, blackout dates, and deals available only for specific days or destinations. These are common for travel deals and can ruin your would-be vacation.

While you can’t change what the sales offer, you can make your vacation plans more likely to match a travel sale. Because everyone typically wants to travel on weekends, flights leaving on Friday and returning Sunday are usually the most expensive.

Similarly, hotels are less expensive on Mondays through Thursdays. Travel during the holidays is steeper, too. But if your schedule lets you plan a vacation that skips weekends and holidays, you’re more likely to run into sales.

What are you hoping to see with travel deals this year? Let us know in the comments, or check out all our Black Friday predictions below.

Airline Tickets – Dirt Cheap Airline Tickets, Cheap Airline Tickets, Cheap

    Airline Tickets

Dirt Cheap Airline Tickets Airlines work with consolidators to help fill up unsold airline seat inventory, which may otherwise go empty and generate no revenue for the airline. Airline tickets are often deeply discounted up to 70% off of the regular published airline tickets, You will be able to find your Cheap Airline Tickets . Comparing prices, Services, Promotions . in seconds from ExpressAirlineTickets booking engine All you need is Click and Get -;)

Number of Seats Left: Travelers are informed when there are three or fewer cheap airline tickets available at the quoted price on a particular flight, alerting travelers that an airline ticket may no longer be available soon.

Fare Notes: Travelers will be given more valuable flight-specific information than ever before including flight, airline, fare and deals information allowing travelers to make more informed decisions before purchasing airline tickets for their flight

Multiple Airports: Travelers can select multiple nearby airports to search and receive up to nine different departing and returning combinations to help identify the best price and flight options to meet their needs

Date Shuffler: Travelers can search up to three days before and/or after the requested departure and arrival dates to find the cheapest available flight and date combination, including an additional plus one-day scrolling grid and calendar display of the dates considered .Alternate Dates: The engine automatically searches and finds cheap airline tickets for nearby date combinations when lower airline ticket prices are available on those dates.

Seat Maps: Travelers can view available seats before booking a flight, giving them the option to view traveler preferred seat location or even to choose another flight based on traveler seat preferences.

SOME USEFUL TIPS TO GET CHEAPEST AIRLINE TICKETS?

Tip #1: Make your airline tickets reservation early.

Many dirt cheap airline tickets require that you make a reservation 7, 14 or 21 days in advance, depending on the airline tickets. The best international airline tickets often require a reservation 30 days in advance. Making an airline tickets reservation as soon as you know your travel dates increases your chances of finding a cheap airline ticket.

Tip #2: Traveling on a weekday usually cheaper.

Flights departing on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday usually offer the lowest airline tickets. Cheap airline tickets are sometimes (but not always) higher on Monday and Friday than on other weekdays. Saturday flights occasionally have discount airline tickets, but as a rule it s more expensive to fly on a weekend than a weekday.

Tip #3: Stay over a Saturday night

Most dirt cheap airline tickets require that you stay over at least one Saturday night before your return flight. However, some airline tickets may only require you to stay a minimum of 3 or 4 days.

Tip #4: Again, make your flight reservation early!

Most of airlines sell only a limited number of airline tickets at the cheapest prices. When those airline tickets sell out, the price goes up!

    Tip #5: Consider nearby airports.

You may enjoy better savings if you are willing to fly into nearby airports. For example, when flying to Los Angeles (LAX), you may want to consider flying into the Burbank (BUR), Orange County (SNA) or Ontario (ONT) airports. Similarly, the cost of an airline ticket to San Francisco (SFO) might be reduced by flying into San Jose (SJC) or Oakland (OAK), while travel to Miami (MIA) may be less expensive if you fly into Ft. Lauderdale (FLL).

Tip #6: Try an earlier or later flight date. To get the lowest roundtrip airline ticket, the same airline tickets must be available on both the departing and return flights you select. If the fare is sold out on either of these, the price you end up with will be much higher. If possible, consider flying on another date.

Tip #7: Book your trip with Express Airline Tickets .com!

Not just a website we work for you 24/7! Express Airline Tickets .com offers multiple ways to search for travel, especially customized for your needs.
