Luton Airport Car Parking – cheapest luton airport car parking, cheapest

Luton airport car parking

Book cheap luton airport car parking and hotels. Click on the ‘luton parking’ or ‘luton hotels’ tabs above and we’ll tell you where to book luton airport car parking and luton airport hotels at the lowest prices.

There are 5 websites that, between them, offer the cheapest luton airport car parking. But which one is the cheapest depends on your length of stay. To show you which luton airport car parking company is the cheapest for the period you want, we’ve prepared the price comparison tables on the ‘luton parking’ page.

On the luton airport car parking page you’ll also find a ‘quick search’ to allow you to enter your details once and compare the cost of luton airport parking across 4 websites. We are the only luton airport car parking website that compares the prices at all of the top companies and tells you who is the cheapest. Other websites just link to one of them.

Simply enter your dates, compare prices, then book the cheapest luton airport car parking securely online or over the phone. Once you’ve booked your parking you’ll receive a confirmation and a voucher via e-mail.

If you are traveling from further a field you might also consider a relaxing start to your holiday – staying overnight the day before your flight at a luton airport hotel (click on the ‘ luton hotels ‘ tab above for more information). Many luton airport hotels offer 8 or 15 days free parking – which means that an overnight stay can work out almost as cheap as booking luton airport car parking.

For example, during the summer the cheapest parking at luton airport for a 14 day holiday costs from just under 70, and yet a double room at a luton airport hotel costs from 59 including 15 days free parking. So an overnight stay at a luton airport hotel can cost 10 less than luton airport car parking.

Luton Airport Car Parking: Directions

‘London Luton’ airport is located near Luton – 10 miles north up the M1 from the the M25. From the M1, exit at junction 10 and follow signs to the airport.

For a map of the airport and surrounding area click here. To zoom in further just click on the area of the map you want to enlarge.

Once you’ve booked your luton airport car parking you will receive a confirmation e-mail with the address and postcode of the airport car park you will be using. These Cities Have the Cheapest Luxury Hotels in the World

Hotels around the world are getting more expensive. According a recent report by the behemoth booking site Hotels.com, the average price for a room rose about three percent globally from 2013 to 2014, fifth consecutve year of rising rates. Here in the States, the average room was five percent higher than the previous year (though we still haven’t reached the highs of 2007). But for travelers looking for deals, it’s not all bad news: some destinations saw significant drops on room rates—even at luxury hotels:

  • Asia offers some of the biggest savings: bucking the global trend, hotel room rates across the region dropped by two percent overall from 2013 to 2014. Bangkok, in particular, saw steep declines in the cost of a luxury hotel room: a five-star room was $187, down by 11 percent.
  • Other Asian cities that offer good value on luxury hotels: Delhi, where the average room was $177 a night, and Beijing, which had rooms for $210 a night.
  • In Europe, where a falling euro is making things even more affordable for American travelers, Hotels.com found good five-star room rates in Berlin ($211 a night), Brussels ($202), Budapest ($208), Istanbul ($207), Lisbon ($209), and Prague ($216). But the lowest luxury rooms in Europe are in Warsaw, where they go for just $107 a night.

It was harder to find great deals in the United States. Five-star rooms in San Francisco jumped by a full 21 percent to an average to $447 a night. In Seattle they rose 15 percent to $347. In Boston they increased 12 percent, reaching $574 a night. The bright spot for the U.S. was Las Vegas. Although rates there rose, the average price of a luxury room was still just $254 a night.

Príď sa sám presvedčiť o rozmanitosti prírody ešte stále plnej nespútanej slobody, o pôvabnosti hlbokých dolín strážených majestátnymi končiarmi vysokých hôr s kryštálovo čistými horskými bystrinami a potokmi.

Najvzácnejšie skvosty slovenskej histórie boli vďaka svojej výnimočnosti zapísané do zoznamu Svetového kultúrneho dedičstva UNESCO. Slovensko má síce rozlohu len 50 tisíc km 2 , no nájdeš tu až deväť národných parkov.

The 2017 World – s Best Cities, Travel Leisure, travel the

    The World’s Top 15 Cities

Here are 2017’s top urban destinations.

Every year, we ask our readers to rate the best cities in the world, and the results continue to surprise us. Not only do newcomers sometimes float to the top, but longtime favorites also continue to reappear — a testament to a destination’s enduring popularity. This year’s group of winners span the globe, from market-filled Hoi An in Vietnam to Florence, a European culture capital. Of note, however, is what ties these contenders together: Almost all are pedestrian-friendly, possess ample green space, and have a rich history that’s being thoughtfully preserved as the city grows.

Every year for our World’s Best Awards survey, T+L asks readers to weigh in on travel experiences around the globe — to share their opinions on the top cities, islands, cruise ships, spas, airlines, and more. Readers rated cities on their sights and landmarks, culture, cuisine, friendliness, shopping, and overall value.

This year’s No. 1 winner — for the first time ever in the World’s Best Awards’ 22-year history — is Mexico’s San Miguel de Allende. “San Miguel is one of the most authentic, creative and cost-effective destinations we’ve visited,” says a T+L reader of the colonial city, a part of which has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage site. “Over the years we’ve discovered more great restaurants and activities, but the town still maintains its Mexican heritage, culture and charm.”

The World’s Best Cities list also speaks to our readers’ growing interest in Asia, as seven of the top 15 urban destinations are in the region. Kyoto, home to some of Japan’s most well-preserved traditional architecture, Chiang Mai, Thailand, best known for its walled Old City, and Siem Reap, Cambodia, the jumping-off point for Angkor Wat, all made repeat appearances.

Charleston — our top city in the U.S. for the fifth year running — was the sole American city among the top 10 overall; Florence, another World’s Best veteran, was joined by European hubs like Rome and Barcelona; while Oaxaca, another Mexican city with a thriving culinary scene and cultural depth, came into the mix again for the first time since 2010.

Hotel and Online Travel Agency Direct Booking Winners and Losers in

Hotel and Online Travel Agency Direct Booking Winners and Losers in 5 Charts

    Online travel agencies

Editor s Note: In July, Hitwise provided Skift with online travel agency and hotel market share data as of May 2017 that Hitwise now concedes was flawed. Hitwise recently provided us with updated data that purport to show the online travel agencies actually gained more share (2.96 percent compared with a 1.16 percent gain, as previously reported), and hotel share fell more (3.87 percent versus 2.55 percent).

In addition, the revised HItwise data show the gap in online travel agency versus hotel market share tallies (58.28 percent versus 41.72 percent, respectively) was narrower than initially reported below.

Even the new Hitwise data, though, is incomplete because it does not capture all the bookings for Starwood brands, but merely tracks bookings through Starwoodhotels.com, for example. Finally, as previously noted, the Hitwise data does not record in-app bookings or corporate bookings completed through private servers.

    The original post follows:

With all the hoopla over hotel-direct bookings and online travel agency retaliation and maneuvering, the balance of power in U.S. market share among top players has been surprisingly even-keeled over the last year with overall share shifts amounting to less than one percentage point up or down for each sector.

From May 2016 to May 2017, according to new bookings data from Hitwise, hotels market share of all online bookings in the U.S. fell from 31.36 percent to 30.56 percent, or less than a percentage point, while online travel agencies picked up a corresponding amount, seeing their market share of hotel bookings rise to 69.44 percent, up a bit from 68.64 percent a year earlier.

To be honest the shift in share of bookings for hotels versus OTAs is quite small, less than one percentage point change for either camp, said Rochelle Bailis, Hitwise s global director of content. Hotels have lost about .8 percentage points of overall hotel bookings year over year.

To get its numbers, Hitwise uses a panel of 8 million U.S. consumers and tallies their online hotel bookings by enabling rules to track their visits to specific booking-confirmation pages.

If Hitwise s numbers are to be believed, it doesn t mean that Marriott, Choice Hotels or Hilton, which have been the heaviest hotel advertisers on U.S. TV in the 12 months through May 2017, according to iSpot.tv, aren t attracting more direct bookings and stealing some from Expedia, as they have reported.

Reacting to the Hitwise numbers, Bjorn Hanson, clinical professor with the NYU Preston Robert Tisch Center for Hospitality and Tourism, pointed out that the number of occupied rooms in 2017 are greater to date than in 2016. That means the online travel agencies can be gaining share and big hotel chains such as Marriott and Hilton can be attracting more direct bookings, too, he said.

The online travel agencies gained a little bit more this year and last year brand.com sites gained a little more, Hanson said.

Some of the share shift could be coming at the expense of offline channels.

Hitwise found that Booking.com, in particular, and Expedia, too, posted substantial market share gains, and Wyndham was on a tear among hotel chains.

Not all of the market share gains and losses — depicted in Hitwise charts below can be attributed to the success or failure of major chains direct-booking campaigns. There are a lot of other factors in play.

Asked to comment on the HItwise findings, Morningstar senior equity analyst Dan Wasiolek said the numbers support Morningstar s view that hotel direct booking campaigns would not take meaningful share from the two main OTAs for several reasons.

Offering steep discounts to loyalty program members mitigates the positive economics that booking on the hotelier website is supposed to generate, and Priceline and Expedia have strong network advantages that are too important for the hotels not to be on, Wasiolek said.

It should be pointed out that an executive from one of the big chains said Hitwise s numbers may skew toward leisure travel as it is less likely to pick up business travelers booking chain hotels from behind corporate firewalls. However, the official didn t challenge the basic trajectory of the findings.

The results do not contradict earnings and investor calls so far this year. Recent commentary from hotelier conference calls point to these operators seeing improved growth of direct bookings, but Priceline and Expedia are also having continued healthy growth, Wasiolek said.

But there have been individual winners and losers.

When looking at hotel versus hotel competition, Wyndham has notched the biggest market share gains. Wyndham tripled its market share [see Chart 1 below] among top hotels to 9.6 percent, Hitwise found.

A few months ago, Wyndham revamped its loyalty program, and claims to be offering members up to 20 percent discounts when booking direct. The chain says it has earmarked $100 million to market its loyalty program over the next year-and- a half.

Wyndham has a strong summer travel message that emphasizes pricing, Hanson said. I m not surprised, he added, referring to Wyndham s gains. It resonates with leisure travelers.

Wyndham s U.S. market share and volumes are much smaller than competitors such as Marriott-Starwood, Hilton, and Choice, which all made more modest market share gains when considering hotel competitors. On the other hand, the InterContinental Hotels Group, Best Western, Sheraton and St. Regis hotel websites all took a step back in U.S. market share, Hitwise found.

“We attribute these strides to our intense focus on technology, said Barry Goldstein, Wyndham Hotel Group s chief marketing officer.

We improved our websites this year building a new, responsive platform and focusing on the guest experience through personal and dynamic photography as well as a simple, clean customer experience.

At the same time we’ve improved the Wyndham Rewards app’s usability, which has increased our conversion rates dramatically. We think focusing on things travelers seek — easy-to-use tools coupled with the most rewarding loyalty program with Wyndham Rewards — will help us continue winning in an ever-more competitive space.”

Why Online Travel Agencies Will Line Up Against Blockchain Adoption –

Why Online Travel Agencies Will Line Up Against Blockchain Adoption

    Online travel agencies

Glenn Fogel, CEO of the Priceline Group, has brushed off the threat of Blockchain to his business.

Fogel s commentary, which took place on stage at the Skift Global Forum last month,

felt a lot like the early onset of the Innovator s Dilemma, which sees market-leading companies usurped by new technologies and competitors. The CEO of a $94 billion public company has many things that keep him up at night, and a relatively nascent technology, BlockChain, which is arguably at the peak of inflated expectations, should not be particularly worrying for him over a two-to three-year horizon.

Don t expect online travel agencies to necessairly rush into any decentralizing technology such as Blockchain. The reality is the online travel agencies sit at the top of the 50-year-old distribution-food chain like Apex Predators (and innovators). They are beneficiaries of the barriers to entry that the modern distribution environment places on access to content. This is compounded by an increasingly expensive customer acquisition landscape.

Viewed within the context of greater historical decentralization that has been driven largely by the Internet, Blockchain — or future iterations of the technology — feels like an inevitable progression. It s a technology that allows for the dispersal of functions, powers, people or things away from a central location or authority, while importantly maintaining trust.

    Startup barriers to entry

A common belief among Silicon Valley investors is that travel startups (with very few exeptions) are radioactive, and are best-approached with extreme caution. History has not kind to the travel startup ecosystem: Many have tried, most have failed, and the select few that succeeded have been especially well-capitalized or incubated by airlines or hotels.

While founders must take the blame for me-too, hammer-looking-for-a nail-type thinking that permeates the travel-startup ecosystem, the reality is there are plenty of talented developers, designers, and entrepreneurs who have faced significant barriers to entry imposed by the modern distribution environment. That s to the potential detriment of consumers.

Many will counter that there has been a tremendous amount of innovation, and it’s never been easier to book travel across the globe — and they’re right. If we plot the industry’s performance over time, we appear to be on a fairly typical, if elongated, S curve, what might be thought of as Distribution 1.0.

The global distribution systems delivered significant transformations in content access and booking ease, followed by a wave new entrants such as the online travel agencies piggybacking off of Internet and mobile disruptions. Fundamentally, however, they’re built off of the base of the Distribution 1.0 model that provides significant incentives to online travel agencies and along with it market power that makes it extremely difficult for new players, under the current system, to break in.

The reality is we may be approaching, or in fact may have reached the limit, of what is possible using this platform.

    Online travel agenciesSource: Chris Sandstrom

My belief is that future customer-booking experience innovations or multi-mode travel use cases may only be delivered on the back of Distribution 2.0 and new standards environments. This is a transition that is similar in scale and benefits to the current migration from internal combustion to electric vehicles.

    hIstorical arc of decentralization

Blockchain, like other transformational technologies before it, creates the perfect breeding ground for a Travel Distribution 2.0. That s assuming the community of developers can figure out scalability, and other technological barriers.

On one hand, it has the potential to enable democratized access to travel content, including availability and pricing, while simultaneously facilitating a new generation of targeted, demand-side agency models and players.

Given the rapidly iterative nature of the technology and the community of developers that will be activated, I expect a few travel Blockchains, or markets, will be developed. The healthiest of these will be the market-makers, which will nurture and provide the right incentives and standards for suppliers, agencies, and travelers alike.

The new CEO of Expedia, Mark Okerstrom, said at Skift Global Forum that the measure of Blockchain technology is going to be whether it will be “cheaper or better. As of now, it is simply too early to tell.

However, the online travel agencies — as the Apex Predators and beneficiaries at the top of the current distribution scheme — aren t likely to rush in to invest in a technology that democratizes access to travel content.

Other scenarios, too, may take place. A likely starting point in the Blockchain for both the agencies and the distribution-system providers is the creation of private Blockchains —think of it as the Intranets versus the Internet — to facilitate global transactions and settlement between them and their partners. These could be useful, although not transformational.

Artificial Intelligence Has Reached a Travel Tipping Point, travel intelligence.#Travel #intelligence

Artificial Intelligence Has Reached a Travel Tipping Point

For years now, the travel industry has dabbled with artificial intelligence (AI), seeking to unlock the promise of more efficient communications and greater customer service between travel suppliers, travel agents and consumers.

So far, most of that potential has remained untapped, with only a handful of companies beginning to introduce AI to the booking process in a meaningful way.

But recent investments and beta tests are finally starting to bear fruit. In San Jose, Calif., Casto Travel recently launched the text message-based Marco, a mobile travel assistant powered by Mezi, a Silicon Valley startup. Marco was introduced for Casto s business travel clients and is already completing 60 percent of the current users bookings without human intervention, said president and CEO Marc Casto.

Casto Travel’s corporate travel clients use natural language to make a booking through Mezi, just as if they were emailing or calling a live agent. Users first set up a profile that is activated every time they interact with the system, helping the tool learn about the traveler s personal preferences so it can apply them to future booking conversations.

The chatbot is monitored by a live agent, who can jump in at any time, said Casto.

Client feedback has been stellar, Casto said, noting that working with technology companies in Silicon Valley has helped with the launch.

According to a recent survey by Allianz Global Assistance, 11 percent of Millennials prefer to work with artificial intelligence and chatbots, versus 4 percent of people 35 years of age and older. Twenty four percent of Millennials prefer to use online and instant messaging tools, versus 10 percent of their older peers.

The Marco launch has gone over so well that some of Casto s clients are using it as a recruiting tool because technology job applicants want to work for companies utilizing high-tech tools, Casto said.

Technology costs affordable to virtually any size agency

Based in Sunnyvale, Calif., Mezi works with a handful of other travel management firms, including Adelman Travel in Milwaukee, Wis. American Express Co. also utilizes Mezi for its Platinum cardmember concierge service.

While most of Mezi s clients are larger firms, Johnny Thorsen, Mezi vice president of strategy and partnerships, believes AI s economies of scale have reached the point where virtually any travel agency, no matter what size, can avail themselves of the technology.

We are at the beginning of a new phase where smaller companies will be able to move faster than the big guys, Thorsen said. He pointed out how Mezi s tool offers only three options to customers versus the overwhelming laundry list typically produced by an online travel agency (OTA).

If I tell you I want to travel at 3 p.m., why is an OTA forcing me to scroll through every option starting at 7 a.m.? he said. Similarly, If I have history of booking hotels near sports arenas, don t make me review 40 recommendations on a map. Show me the hotels near where I ve already told you I go.

Smaller agencies can use technology to delight clients

Samantha Ruiz, CEO and founder of Well Traveled, is a semi-finalist for the American Society of Travel Agents Entrepreneur of the Year Award. She says agents need tools like AI to better differentiate them from larger firms.

A lot of small travel brands struggle to differentiate. How do you beat the search algorithms of companies like Expedia and Priceline?” Ruiz said. “You need a tool to enable you to understand what the client s travel preferences are so you can delight them with great customer service.

Her company has developed software that reads the web pages a digital traveler visits, and categorizes them to develop a sense of what that individual is looking for. Travel is missing so much of the first two-thirds of the purchase path because it isn t capturing this data, Ruiz commented.

We want to help travel agents know that this person showed an interest in luxury travel, adventure, Alaska, hiking, before the agent initiates a booking discussion.

Automating booking will improve the agency profession

Casto and others also are hoping that the introduction of AI will allow travel agents to focus more on 21 st century selling and customer service skills, and less on low value-add expertise like GDS skills.

The presumption historically has been that travel agents, first and foremost, have to know the GDS. But that s inconsistent with today s customer service requirements, Casto said.

To succeed in the coming decades, Casto said, the successful agent will be someone who loves travel and wants to share their passion and travel knowledge with the world.

An AI-enabled travel agent needs to be good at delighting the customer, said Mezi CEO and co-founder Swapnil Shinde.

Priceline CEO foresees AI crisis managers assisting travelers

Speaking at the Skift Global conference in September, Glenn Fogel, CEO of the Priceline Group, said he foresees AI taking over tasks like rebooking travel plans during weather disruptions, delivering solutions automatically to a traveler s smartphone.

He gave an example of how today a traveler may receive a notification on the way to the airport that their flight has been cancelled or delayed, but the responsibility is then left to the traveler to rectify the situation.

In response to such a notification, a traveler might feel this way: I m already on the way. You told me there is a problem, but you re not solving the problem. I want that rebooked. When I get off the flight, I don t want to have to change the car service. I want that automatically done. Move my restaurant reservation to later. I want that changed. Notify the people I was eating with. I want my phone to be the key everywhere.

However, Fogel is not as confident about how quickly the industry will be able to deliver on AI s promise. When asked at the Skift forum how close the travel industry is to reaching the AI-enabled Promised Land, Fogel responded: Not so close. But we are getting there.

    Book Review: Gulliver s Travels-Jonathan Swift, gulliver travel.#Gulliver #travel

    Book: Gullivers Travels

    Rating: 4/5

    Gulliver travel

Lemuel Gulliver is an educated and trained surgeon. He speaks to the readers retelling his experiences at sea. Presented as a simple traveler’s narrative, Gulliver’s adventures are divided into four parts. The first part is situated in Lilliput where he finds himself in the company of thousands of miniature people called Lilliputians. The second is on the peninsula-type land of Brobdingnag, an opposite world from Lilliput where Gulliver becomes the Lilliputian and everyone is a giant to him. The third part moves to the island of Laputa, a floating island inhabited by theoreticians and academics which oppresses the land below, called Balnibarbi. Finally in the fourth part he arrives in an unknown land. This land is populated by Houyhnhnms, the rational-thinking horses who rule, and by Yahoos, the inferior brutish servants to the horses who bear the image of a human.

    Social/Historical context :

Gulliver’s Travels was an extremely controversial book from its very first publication in 1726. Ever since, many of its sections were deleted and it was also often set aside as a book for children in an attempt to depoliticize its interpretations and camouflage its insight into colonial practice. It was not until almost ten years after its first printing that the book appeared with the entire text that Swift had originally intended it to have. However it remains Swift’s most prolific and well-known work, spanning a literary sixteen years in physical journey and countless more in personal exploration.

    Writing Style:

Gulliver’s travels is both a satire on human nature and a parody of the “traveler’s tale” literary sub genre. The fascination of the tale lies in the fact that although every phase seems immediately comprehensible, the whole subject matter is endlessly complex. The novel offers a clear parody of colonialism and its working against what is conventionally known. Swift takes up the different ideas surrounding the working of colonialism and gradually debunks them by offering a reversal of scales. He redirects the tropes of colonial discourse and turns them against the masters in a very adroit manner. And interestingly all this is done with great wit and slapstick humor: be it Gulliver’s urinating to extinguish the fire or the experiments taking place at the Grand Academy of Lagado.

    My Thoughts:

The novel is arguably Swift’s greatest satiric attempt to “shame men out of their vices”. The structure and the choice of metaphors also serve Swift’s purpose of attacking politics, religion, morality, human nature and of course colonialism which is at the heart of the novel. Swift clearly undercuts the ideas endorsed by colonialism by putting forth a reverse scenario and demonstrating how the truth about people and objects is heavily influenced by the observer’s perception. In Gulliver’s Travels the scales are manipulated to show the politics of representation thus bringing forth a comfortless and disturbing satire.

Travel Agencies in Athens, Greece, travel agencies.#Travel #agencies

    Travel Agents in Athens

Travel agenciesI have probably written it thousands of times on my websites and in e-mails that the best way to book your holiday in Greece is through a reliable Greek travel agency. The main reason is because of the islands and the ferry connections which makes coordinating itineraries a difficult job for people who don’t know the system. People have e-mailed me after booking their hotels because they could not find the ferries to get them to the hotels they had booked. Even with ferry schedules now on the internet there are problems. The schedules can be changed at any time, boats can be canceled due to weather, mechanical failure, strikes or at the whim of a ferry company (for example if the boat is not 3/4 full they lose money so they cancel the trip by saying the boat is broken.) A Greek travel agency can change your arrangements without a penalty and will make sure your trip goes smoothly. This is particularly useful in the event of a strike since these are not spontaneous uprisings but scheduled in advance which an agent in Greece will know about and you may not. For those who want to book on your own I have given you that option through Booking.com’s Greece pages where you can find thousands of hotels with descriptions and photos, searchable by category and location. For those who want to take my advice and use a Greek travel agency continue reading and this page will introduce you to who I believe are the best agencoes in Greece and will help you choose one.

In my opinion there are two kinds of travel agencies in Greece. (There are probably more but for the sake of keeping this page simple let’s say there are two). The first type is the kind that believes travelers to Greece are a never ending fountain of humanity. Their attitude is to get as many bookings as they can and work and move on to the next person. The second type has a little more vision. They realize that Greece is a big, beautiful, multi-faceted place for such a small country and if you take the time to work with clients individually and they have the best vacation of their lives then they will tell all their friends and probably come back again themselves, hopefully again and again and again. For obvious reasons I like to recommend type 2 and in my opinion these are the best.

    Fantasy Travel

    Greek Island, Cruise Honeymoon Specialists

Travel agenciesEstablished in 1983 by Mr George Gerassimidis, Fantasy is a team of 15 experienced travel agents, who make every effort to insure each client feels the warmth of the famous Greek hospitality and has an unforgettable holiday in Greece. Having worked with George and his crew for the past 15 years I am completely impressed with their attention to detail and their ability to create the perfect itinerary for each clients tastes and needs. Equally impressive is the customer satisfaction and George’s ability to get things done, (sometimes things that were supposedly impossible). In my opinion George is the hardest working travel agent in Greece and I recommend him with complete confidence.

Where Fantasy’s agents really excel is in travel to the Cyclades islands, especially the most popular ones, from hotels (of all catagories) or by their great discounted rates on cruiseships which make a Greek Island cruise affordable to anyone!

This is one of the best travel agencies I have used and I highly recommend them without any hesitation! If you are planning to visit Mykonos, Santorini, Paros, Naxos, Rhodes or Crete be sure to look at their website for island-hopping combinations and singular islands for great rates on beautiful hotels. They also list the cruises and itineraries for Royal Olympic Cruises. Ask them about sailboat charters too.

The Fantasy Travel office is conveniently located a block from Syntagma square so you can easily meet with them for advice or to fine-tune your itinerary by adding tours and excursions. So give yourself a break. Pick an island or two and let them do the hard work so you can relax and enjoy your holiday. George is always in the office so if you have any problems, need to make any changes or just need someone to talk to so you can figure out what to do next, help is just a phone call away.

For those who know what they want to do try Matt Barrett’s Create-an-itinerary form where you can put together a custom itinerary with the help of a Greek travel agent, with no obligation to buy.

Far from the Maddening Crowd : Fantasy Travel has put together a 10-Day Athens-Mykonos-Santorini package which includes a tour of Athens and all transfers and ferry tickets. The package starts at 790 euros per person. What makes it unique is for the Athens part of the trip you will be staying by the beach in Faliron, just 20 minutes from downtown by taxi or 30 minutes by bus or coastal tram. For more information see www.fantasytravelofgreece.com/farfromcrowds.html

Meet Fantasy Travel: Getting the girls to talk on camera was tough but Andy managed to get a few of them to shine and now the offers from Hollywood are pouring in. But the best part is Vassilis’ quote at the very end, (in my personal opinion of course). You can visit their website at www.fantasytravelofgreece.com

Don’t take my word for it. Read what Fantasy Travel’s clients have written at Fantasy Travel Agency Reviews

    Easing into Bastar

I had a great fun trip from 20th Dec (evening) till 2nd Jan (morning). Roughly did this loop: Delhi-Pendra Road (for Amarkantak)- Raipur-Kondagaon-Jagdalpur (day trips to Tokapal, Dantewada, Chitrakot, Kutumsar) – Bhubaneswar – Konarak – Chilika – Delhi. When I came back, I calculated using Google maps that the total kilometers clocked were about 4000! Travel was a combination of Train (most of the time), Bus (quite a bit), Bike (both self drive and pillion), Boats (couple rides), Auto and finally a car on a self-drive basis. Read More

Staying street smart while traveling in India

Most global destinations have mechanisms in place to part a tourist from their money, but besides the pickpockets, touts, beggars and overpriced handloom shops, there are a few scams in India that really are quite unique. If you’re a seasoned traveller, or if you remain alert, you will most likely avoid these mishaps. But we’re hoping, after reading this article, that you will be able to spot these tricks a mile away, and you will just need to hide your smile when someone tries one out on you. But if you do happen to come across one, remember it is all just part of the adventure; some may even say that its actually half the fun of travelling in India! . Read More
