Who We Are

The Shreveport Dental Assistant School was founded to provide a high-quality, hands-on education that was both affordable and convenient to students from all walks of life. Our classes are held directly inside of a working dental office and all of our instructors are dental assistants who have years of experience in the very same techniques they teach. In just 12 short weeks, you’ll learn all of the skills and techniques needed to succeed in this quickly growing field.

What You ll Learn

When it comes to the ins and outs of a real-world dental practice, a textbook can only take you so far. That’s why Shreveport Dental Assistant School’s program was built differently — emphasizing hands-on training in all of the techniques that modern dentists demand. We aim to provide our students with both the experience and confidence they will need to thrive in their new careers. All Shreveport Dental Assistant School graduates also complete a 40 hour externship in a local dental office, which ensures that they are job-ready upon graduation.

Helping You Succeed

Shreveport Dental Assistant School’s commitment to our students goes well beyond the classroom. Our unique, 12-week program allows us to offer comprehensive training at a fraction of the cost of other schools. We understand that beginning a new career isn’t always an easy jump to make. That’s why we offer flexible payment plans and have dedicated counselors on call to help guide you every step of the way. Once you graduate, our career services department is there to assist you in finding the great career you deserve!

Employment of dental assistants is projected to grow 18 percent from 2014 to 2024, much faster than the average for all occupations. Ongoing research linking oral health and general health will likely continue to increase the demand for preventive dental services. Dentists will continue to hire more dental assistants to complete routine tasks, allowing the dentist to see more patients in their practice and to spend their time on more complex procedures. As dental practices grow, more dental assistants will be needed.
