Nourishing Nosh timetabled cooking classes are hands on small group classes designed for maximum learning and enjoyment. Public classes advertised on the website are limited to 8 – 10 people so you receive all the attention you need.
You can book into a scheduled class or Create your own cooking class. This selection is for private and/or corporate groups.
The freshest seasonal produce is prepared and cooked in classical and contemporary recipes. Your instructors are approachable and skilled and aim to take the fear out of cooking with traditional and new ingredients that will boost your confidence in the kitchen.
You can choose to cook with all seasonal, sustainable produce, and classes suit a variety of culinary and health preferences. Fresh ingredients include carefully sourced free range, grass fed meats, sustainable fish, organic poultry and products, nuts, seeds, grains, dairy and of course lots of vegetables and fruit.
The ethics of what we eat raises interesting challenges for the conscious eater and it is a goal of Nourishing Nosh to assist those who are interested in overcoming some of these challenges. Louise is a nutritionist who does not believe in “overnutritionalising food” and making it inaccessible to the home cook. We believe in balance and that most fad diets are just that and they will pass. Extremes DO NOT work.
We are so lucky to have an abundance of fresh delicious fruit and vegetables in Australia. It is easy to forget with so many imported foods what fruits and vegetables are actually in season at times.
We have been investing bucket loads of time energy into researching and creating some yummy dishes with body and earth in mind. We hope to share some of these dishes with you in one of my classes. (Oh what a hardship!)
Corporate team building classes and workshops can take up to 30 people and can be held in Seaforth or at your chosen venue.
Workshops and retreat numbers may vary from the above and will be clearly stipulated in the description.
Louise is a nutritionist, speaker, caterer and culinary educator who enjoys a vast array of cuisines. Some classes are more instructional than others and have a practical or nutritional focus to them. If you’re wanting a class that is a little less educational and more fun focused, there are also many exotic cuisines to choose from.
