A website must have visitors, preferably a lot of them, to be effective. A website may be beautiful, but if no one knows of its existence, it may as well not be there at all.

Green Web Design Development

A website that is designed to maximize its effects in terms of exposure and turn-over, is what we are good at. We create websites in close cooperation with our clients, combining our green webdesign and webdevelopment skills with their knowledge of their specific businesses. WorldWide TravelGuide is an experienced partner when it comes to creating a perfect presence for companies in the travel industry.

Reliable Hosting Website Email

In today’s highly competitive Internet economy, a company’s success and growth is dependent on its website. However, we all know that fast, reliable and continuous access to a website will depend on the server it is hosted on. The Unix, Linux and FreeBSD platforms brings speed, reliability, scalability and functionality to your e-mail, database and website.

Travel Website Design

Travel is an online business. We all do online research before taking a vacation. Since some of us will spend hours researching a trip before finally booking it on a travel website, design is critical.

Which trip gets reserved is influenced by the website’s photography, writing and navigation. More so than most industries, web design is absolutely crucial to the travel business.

Here are a few of the key elements for travel website design:

Pictures, Pictures, Pictures

Text can only go so far in describing a travel experience. Pictures make all the difference because showing is better than telling. A great travel site has easy to use photo galleries with big, beautiful pictures.

Getting your best photography onto the site and keeping those galleries up-to-date doesn t have to be a big job. We typically integrate Flickr galleries right on web pages which makes it easy to add and change photos. Photoshop is not necessary.

Navigation for Navigators

People looking to travel are going to start with an idea. Some may be browsing for a specific type of trip (river cruise, kayaking, etc.) while others may be looking at specific dates (i.e. February). Still others are considering going to a specific destination such as the Grand Canyon, but all of these visitors are goal-oriented. This type of visitor is frustrated by not finding thle right information easily. This is why travel web design must offer several ways to navigate such as by date, location, activity, cost, etc.

Austin-Lehman s travel website gives visitors lots of navigation options. Visitors can explore the site in several ways. Whether it is by destination or by date, a person can quickly find relevant information and make a decision about a trip. The site is inviting and conveys a sense of adventure as if the trip has already begun.

Style and Theme

There are millions of terrible travel sites so design is a chance to quickly set your business apart. The design should be easy to use for visitors, look fantastic and be easy to update and maintain. Additionally the overall design should match the theme and tone of the travel experience.

Will it be romantic, adventurous or family-friendly? In the first split second a visitor will start forming an opinion about the site based mostly on the design. The design is a chance to convey the actual vacation experience to the visitor. A great travel web design has personality.

For example if you love to fish, you re going to love www.GreatAlaska.com. You know that you re in the right place, because the design relays that message to you. Next you re getting pulled into the photos. You re browsing deeper and deeper on the site. Soon you find you re not just looking at Alaska, you re thinking about Costa Rica. You re going wherever the fish are biting.

Reserve Online (or quick contact)

Once a site has done a good job of building up interest, the next step is absolutely critical: convert the visitors into leads and the leads into customers.

The site needs to make it very easy to take action and book online. At a minimum, the site should convert the visitor into a qualified lead and then you can call to discuss the details. Consequently your site should be ready to take the reservation the instant a person is ready to click submit. If there is any friction between the visitor and the final confirmation receipt page, the visitor may abandon the site entirely.

Sports Traveler helps sports fan go anywhere in the world to see a game. There are hundreds of pages of up-to-date information for sporting events worldwide. Once the visitor s questions are answered and the research is done, then the site expertly funnels the visitor into booking the trip online. The site even connects automatically to inventory systems to ensure the process is efficient and accurate. This type of experience means their visitors are guaranteed to be on time for kick-off.

Tracking and Statistics

Visitors to travel websites have high expectations and this type of demand means constantly evolving travel sites. So be ready to adapt, but don t make changes without good information. Make sure analytics are set up to track where you re getting site traffic. Evaluate what kinds of visitors are turning into leads. Investigate if visitors are having problems with the booking process. Add more information to the popular pages of the site and promote (or consider changing) the less popular areas.

In short, people who are planning a vacation are excited and looking forward to going on a trip. The time spent researching and booking the trip should be an easy decision and not an adventure.

Tooling Up: The Business Development Career Track

T his month, I am launching a new series of columns about alternative career options for scientists that will alternate with the normal nuts-and-bolts content of Tooling Up. In each of these columns, I will expand upon a career option and present the background and advice of someone who has excelled in that field.

As I’ve stated many times in my columns, the best way to learn about a job that sounds interesting to you is to talk to someone who’s already working in that position. In this series, I’ll be doing some of that work for you, but I urge you to take it further. Tools like Informational Interviewing can be invaluable when you combine what you learn on Science Careers with your own research.

Smaller companies are a great place to start a career in business development because of the varied work. You can be developing a marketing plan one day and be working on the terms of a licensing agreement with a major company the next.

This month, I’ll explore business development (BD) careers. This is the job option people ask me about most often when I give seminars about alternative careers. It is also one of the most misunderstood. For many, the term brings to mind a rep from the local reagents supplier–someone they generally avoid when they see him in the lab. Or they think of a used-car salesman–and all that says about pushy sales behavior.

Much more than sales

“In small companies, the term ‘business development’ is often applied to salespeople because the perception is that it sounds friendlier,” says Brandon Price, a business-development consultant who runs his own business, Falcon Ridge Associates. in Cary, North Carolina. “But the term is a broad one, and it actually represents careers in several niches.”

Few careers for scientists offer such a wide variety of employment opportunities. BD staff work in small companies, large companies, government centers, universities, and private institutions. The daily activities are varied, ranging from strategy and market planning to customer contact, new business development, and licensing.

Business development professionals at small companies may be involved in sales and marketing, but Brandon says that they’re also involved in scouting for new technologies, developing business opportunities, licensing, and dealmaking. I think smaller companies are a great place to start a career in BD because of the varied work. You can be developing a marketing plan one day and be working on the terms of a licensing agreement with a major company the next. Small companies give you a mix of experiences, a base from which you can zero in and become an expert in one niche.

At larger companies, business-development jobs are much more specialized. “In the big corporations, business development most often refers to teams of people looking for new products, new markets for existing technologies, strategic partnerships, and the like,” Brandon says. Scientific knowledge is really important in these jobs, and although there are non-Ph.D.s in business development, employers will readily pay a premium for advanced degrees. I see far more BD positions that require Ph.D.s than I do positions that require any other degree, including MBAs.

Technical know-how is also the key to another business development niche, technology transfer. “There are also BD types engaged within tech-transfer entities at universities whose job it is to work with the inventors to generate good summaries of inventions they want to see commercialized, and then find and engage prospective industry licensing partners,” Brandon says. Tech-transfer positions are found both in organizations that want to license out their technology, such as universities, and in organizations that want to license in an idea to develop into a product, such as a medical device or biotechnology company.

Licensing specialists work with both “in” and “out” licensing agreements. Sometimes, a licensing specialist may add a law degree to their technical credentials at midcareer or later.

Brandon’s experience and recommendations

Brandon’s career is a good example of how to make a move into business from the bench. He started his professional life as a Ph.D. biophysicist in academia. After a few years, he was on the tenure track but was receiving a fair amount of funding from industry. He had developed contacts in companies and liked the applied nature of industry.

“I moved from academia into a technical role at J J [Johnson Johnson] in the company’s flow-cytometry business unit,” Brandon says. “I was soon supervising two technical teams, one involved in developing clinical protocols for a new flow cytometer and the other engaged in developing new measurement parameters to enhance an existing blood-cell analyzer.”

Like many others who have crossed the bridge between technical work and business, Brandon found that the sales and marketing team didn’t really understand these complex instruments. “These folks found that I was delighted to work with their clients and prospects to help them understand the features and benefits of the new technologies we had developed, and I began to do more and more of that.”

Several people moved from J J to form a new biotech company, Damon Biotech, including the start-up’s chief executive officer and vice president of sales and marketing. They recruited Brandon for a product-director position with the new venture. Damon Biotech was an important biotech start-up–one of the first contract manufacturing organizations and an important building block for the Boston-area biocluster.

Damon Biotech offered contract cell-culture services to other companies, producing monoclonal antibodies for both therapeutic and diagnostic companies. Brandon went into direct sales and was responsible for sales to clients who were developing therapeutic products. He was also posted to the United Kingdom for more than a year so he could establish Damon’s European business development organization.

Since those days in the early to mid-1980s, Brandon has been in or had responsibility for many business-development niches. He’s worked for both large companies and start-ups, including a couple of stints as CEO for start-up companies.

Brandon didn’t go directly from the lab into business development–it took a few steps to get there. This is typical for people in these careers. BD isn’t a target that you can easily transition to directly; it’s always better to go in sideways, by first taking a technical role at a company or institution and then taking advantage of your connections within the company.

“In my view, the most important connection to the transition from research to BD is a mentor, someone who sees your attributes and who recognizes the value that an articulate, technically competent person can bring to the business development function at his or her organization,” Brandon says.

Breaking into BD

One mistake many scientists who want to go into business development make is that they try to forgo actual work experience by getting an MBA. Although some BD jobs, notably in the larger companies, may require an MBA, these jobs are in the minority. “If you already have an advanced technical degree, like to work with people, and are a good communicator in both written and spoken English, I strongly urge that you find the right company to employ those traits, perhaps even in a sales position to get some good experience,” Brandon says. “Besides, your new company will most likely have a tuition-reimbursement plan, and you can get your MBA on their coin!”

If you’re interested in jobs in this sector, don’t just start looking at online ads for jobs that appeal to you. As I’ve said in many “Tooling Up” columns, you need to use your networking skills and talk to people to find out what the industry’s needs are and how your skills can help to meet those needs.

“Believe me, good, articulate, technical people who want to work in business development are hard to find, even in the current economic climate,” Brandon says. “If that sounds like you, one great way of landing a job is to talk to the salespeople at trade show booths. Corporate VPs are always lurking about, especially if it is a large conference, something like the BIO or FASEB meetings. With the right kind of technical background and a good first impression, you may find that a position opens up.”

Exiting an iOS App with Xamarin #ios #app #development #windows

    #

Exiting an iOS App with Xamarin

The team is in the middle of building an iOS app for iPad using Xamarin which will be enterprise deployed. A requirement came up to automatically shut down the after a certain action was performed by the user. Usually it s recommended to not kill your app on iOS and apps may fail certification if you do this. Make sure to read the iOS documentation .

Now because we are doing an Enterprise Deploy and not an App Store Deploy. we have a few options and won t fail any certification for using these techniques, but if you are going through the App Store certification process use at your own risk.

    Crashing Your App

Our first attempt was to crash the app after showing a UIAlert notifying the user that the app will be shutting down. Wasn t too thrilled about this procedure but to accomplish this, basically you just throw an exception.

Does what it needs to, but crashing your app to exit it is not the best way to make it happen.

    Calling exit() Function

Next option is to P/Invoke the exit() function. To accomplish this using C# do the following

    Then just call the function

Calling this may cause your app to fail App Store Certification and not the best user experience. It also will cause applicationWillTerminate and some UIApplicationDelegate methods to not be called. Here is an excerpt from iOS documentation

    Using terminateWithSuccess

Third option is to call terminateWithSuccess which is a private method of (UIApplication *)sharedApplication .

Using Xamarin.iOS you basically have to use a Selector to call the private method as follows

Calling private methods is not allowed according to Apple certification guidelines and you will most likely get you rejected from the app store.

    Using NSThread.exit

Last option is to call NSThread.exit from your main thread.

According to the documentation, you should avoid calling this because it doesn t give you a chance to clean up or possibly save state.

    So What to Use.

So typically in an iOS app you don t usually exit your app (same goes for Windows Phone and Android it s a free for all) but there are sometimes situations where this is required. If you are creating an enterprise deploy app, you should be fine. If you are creating an app that will be put through the certification process, you may not pass with some of the options used. We have never had to use this feature in an App Store app but my order in which I would try would be

    1. P/Invoke exit()
    2. NSThread.exit()
    3. throwing an exception
    4. terminateWithSuccess

Thanks go out to the Xamarin support team (specifically Brendan Zagaeski) for pointing the team in the right direction.

The Visible Embryo is a visual guide through fetal development from fertilization through pregnancy to birth. As the most profound physiologic changes occur in the first trimester of pregnancy, these Carnegie stages are given prominence on the birth spiral.

The shape and location of embryonic
    internal structures and how they
relate and are connected to each
    other is essential to understanding
    human development. Medical
    professionals create a mental picture
of this process in order to determine
how well the fetus is progressing. It is
also the basis of knowing how and when
errors in development occur and if a
    possibility exists for a corrective
    intervention.

It is equally important for expectant
    parents to understand the relationship
of these internal structures and how
    their infant develops through pregnancy.

Creating the images for The Visible Embryo, included capturing data from slides and three dimensional structures on fetal anatomy in The National Institutes of Health, Carnegie Collection of embryos. as well as from 3D and 4D ultra sound images.

Getting started with developing for Windows Phone 8 #windows #mobile #app

    #

Getting started with developing for Windows Phone 8

[ This article is for Windows Phone 8 developers. If you’re developing for Windows 10, see the latest documentation. ]

Start developing Windows Phone apps with this step-by-step guide. Get the tools you need, build your first app, and test it on your own phone. Find out how to make the most of the platform and the tools. Download samples. Get suggestions for your next steps.

If you’ve previously developed .NET or XAML apps, you can transfer these skills to develop Windows Phone apps that use XAML for the UI and C# or Visual Basic for the code. If you know C++, you can develop a Direct3D app for Windows Phone 8 in that language to take full advantage of the phone’s graphics hardware.

This topic contains the following sections.

Start here to learn about Windows Phone apps and get the tools you need to create them.

    Download the free developer tools

Download the Windows Phone SDK 8.0, which includes all the tools you need to create Windows Phone apps: Microsoft Visual Studio Express 2012 for Windows Phone, project templates for creating new Windows Phone apps, the Windows Phone emulator for testing, and more.

Windows Phone SDK 8.0 installs everything you need to build and test apps for both Windows Phone 8 and Windows Phone OS 7.1. You don’t have to install Windows Phone SDK 7.1 to build apps for Windows Phone OS 7.1. However, if you already have Windows Phone SDK 7.1 installed, you don’t have to uninstall it before you install Windows Phone SDK 8.0.

If you already have Visual Studio 2012 Professional or higher, the SDK templates and tools are integrated into your existing installation of Visual Studio.

Windows Phone SDK 8.0 requires 64-bit Windows 8 Pro or higher. You can’t develop Windows Phone 8 apps on Windows 7, on Windows Server 2008, or on Windows Server 2012. The Windows Phone 8 Emulator has special hardware, software, and configuration requirements. For more info, see System requirements for the emulator for Windows Phone 8 .

    Register your phone for development

Sign up for a developer account and register your Windows Phone so you can test your apps on a phone. If you don’t have a Windows Phone, you can still test your apps in the emulator.

    Learn about the platform

What can you do in a Windows Phone app? Read about the new and improved features built into the Windows Phone 8 platform.

After you download and install the tools, you’re ready to write apps.

    Write your first app

Walk through the steps to create a simple web browser as your first Windows Phone app.

Upgrade an existing app from Windows Phone OS 7.1

Upgrade your existing Windows Phone OS 7.1 app to target Windows Phone 8 with a single click in Visual Studio.

Port an existing app from another platform

Find resources to help you port existing iOS or Android apps to the Windows Phone platform.

Learn how the developer tools help you to design, create, and test great apps.

Review the list of installed tools

Understand the purpose of the tools installed with the SDK and their place in the app development cycle.

    Develop apps with Visual Studio

Get comfortable in Visual Studio, a complete and extensible development environment for Windows Phone apps. Visual Studio includes a visual designer with many built-in controls and a powerful code editor.

Start projects quickly with project templates

Use project templates in Visual Studio as a starting point for creating various types of Windows Phone apps.

Build apps that meet the certification requirements and satisfy users.

    Design a high-quality app

Find guidance about best practices for designing the user experience of your Windows Phone app.

Discover all the testing tools included with the SDK to help you create a stable and responsive app.

    Pass the app certification tests

Review the requirements that your app has to meet before it can be published in the Windows Phone Store.

Get answers to your programming questions from other Windows Phone developers and from other Microsoft resources.

Find answers about writing Windows Phone apps

Find answers and solve problems as you develop Windows Phone apps.

Find answers about the development tools

Find answers and solve problems as you work with the tools in Windows Phone SDK 8.0.

    Victory Starts Here!

The four TRADOC functions of DESIGN. ACQUIRE. BUILD and IMPROVE are crucial to enable the Army to meet specific Army strategic aimpoints. These aimpoints are defined in the Army Strategic Plan between now and 2050 for the three chief of staff of the Army priorities of Readiness (Current Fight), Future Army (Future Fight) and Take Care of the Troops (Always). These aimpoints describe Army capabilities and conditions for the Current Fight, Next Fight and Future Fight.

TRADOC designs the future force to ensure that the United States Army remains the dominate land power in the world.

Multi-Domain Battle is the concept that will allow the Army, with the Joint Force, to maintain military dominance by developing both greater self-sufficiency and deeper joint integration to fight and win without assured air, sea, space and cyber dominance.

TRADOC recruits the next generation of Soldiers and leaders.

Improve Accessions Enterprise: The Army is Soldiers. The Army requires an accessions system that finds and recruits the best future Soldiers across the nation.

TRADOC trains the next generation of Soldiers and leaders.

Soldier 2020 will ensure all entering Soldiers have the knowledge, skills, and abilities they need to succeed in their MOS. It maximizes the Army’s use of available talent.

Lessons learned, refined doctrine and leader development merge at TRADOC to improve the Army .

  • Adapt the Institutional Army: the Army must change for the information age. New methods of training, education, career management, logistical support, financial management, communication–internal and external, and a host of others will improve the Army.
  • New Doctrine: battlefield experiences combined with new concepts require new doctrine that effectively describes how the Army will accomplish its assigned missions.
  • Talent Management: the Army must transcend its industrial age personnel management systems to fully develop and employ the talents each Soldier brings to the fight.
  • Army University: TRADOC is reforming and systematizing the Army school system to make it both more effective and more efficient.
  • NCO 2020: the future will place greater demands on NCOs. NCO 2020 ensures that NCOs have the skills, training and experiences to continue to lead the Army into the future.

PhD in Child Development: Program and Degree Overview

    Essential Information

Ph.D. programs focused on child development might include a Ph.D. in Human Development and Family Studies with a specialization in child development or a Ph.D. in Child Development with a concentration in areas such as language and literacy, children with special needs or cognitive development. Programs generally take up to six years to complete; however, in some instances, coursework can be completed in as little as three years, with the remainder of the time devoted to working on one’s dissertation.

Find schools that offer these popular programs

    • Adult Development and Aging
    • Child Care Management
    • Child Care Services
    • Child Development
    • Community Organization and Advocacy
    • Family and Community Services
    • Family Systems
    • Human Development and Family Studies
    • Social Work
    • Youth Services

    Ph.D. in Child Development

To gain admission into a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) program in child development, child psychology or human development, most individuals are required to have either a bachelor’s or a master’s degree, as well as GRE scores. Such programs may require them to fulfill an internship or residency, and most require the completion of a dissertation. Students who complete a doctoral program in child development might go on to teach the subject at the university level, or might become child psychologists or clinical researchers. Students interested in applying to a Ph.D. in Child Development program should have a master’s degree in child development or a related field, such as psychology, social work or education. Some programs also might require submission of a resume and Graduate Record Examinations scores. Additionally, applicants might have to sit for an interview.

Generally, the curriculum for a doctoral program in child development is focused around students developing the ability to conduct research efficiently. In addition, students are often exposed to theories in emotional, social and intellectual development. Course topics studied as a part of a program might include:

    • Designing, evaluating and implementing early childhood intervention programs
    • Advanced statistics in the child development field
    • Research and practice of language and literacy
    • Cognitive development
    • Language development
    • Personal development

    Popular Career Options

Ordinarily, students seek a career that involves serving children and their families. Graduates may find themselves working in an academic institution or an applied research setting. A graduate of a Ph.D. program in child development might consider the following professions:

    • Teaching Administration
    • Early childhood educator
    • Children’s occupation therapist
    • Child development policy coordinator

Anyone with a passion for working with children should consider applying to a Ph.D. program in child development. These degrees will allow students to specialize in specific areas of child development, such as language, cognition, special education and literacy.

    Our Mission.

The mission of RCCD Distance Education (formerly Open Campus) is to extend access to learning through distance education. Objectives: To facilitate learning at a distance, Distance Education provides:

    • Educational technology to the colleges, faculty, and students to support the delivery of online-based courses and services
    • Professional development and training for faculty
    • Expertise and experience
    • Blackboard management, production and problem solving.

As of April 21, the Open Campus department has changed its name to Distance Education. We thank you for your patience as we work to complete the changes to website by the middle of summer.

What Are Online Based or Distance Education classes?

Online-based courses, also called Distance Education classes, may take two different forms:

Online classes are taken exclusively over the Internet. Please note that, while some online courses provide all instructional content over the Internet, others may require some on-campus meetings. Please see the course schedule or WebAdvisor for more information.

Hybrid classes meet both on campus and online. Think of them as a combination or blending of online classes and face-to-face classes.

In a hybrid class, you will attend meetings on campus during the dates and times listed in the schedule of classes. Since the on-campus portion of hybrid classes could take place at any of our three colleges (Riverside City, Norco or Moreno Valley), hybrid classes are listed in the schedule by the college where the on-campus meetings will take place.

Are there Face-to-Face classes that use the Internet?

Web-Enhanced classes are traditional face-to-face classes that are supplemented with course websites and the use of Internet resources. Unlike hybrid or fully-online classes, all web-enhanced class meetings take place on campus.

    Where Do I Start?

Top 10 Web Development Apps for Android Devices

As an avid Android device user with both an Android tablet and phone, of course I am always looking for apps that would be of use to web developers. After a bit of searching I was able to find apps for just about every aspect of web development, from the web server itself to an FTP client to move the files, to a source code viewer that let’s you view the source code on any web page, analytics tools to allow you to analyze your website, to custom apps for the major CMSes WordPress, Drupal and Joomla!.

Using the Android web development apps I found, I was able to create a web page from scratch, test it on a web server that is running on my Android device from anywhere on my local network, move the file over to my external web host using an FTP app so it’s live on the web, SSH to my external web server to work with the file live, and the page was ready for the masses, able to be viewed by anyone with an internet connection. My inner geek was smiling!

Since I have several sites which run on the Joomla! and Drupal CMSes, I can now potentially create content and publish that content directly from my Android device using the Joomla! and Drupal Android apps.

While the likelyhood that I would need to be able to create content or handle a “web emergency” while I was out on the go is not likely for me personally, I could easily see a blogger writing their latest work while actually on the scene of an event, and then using one of the tools we will discuss here, they would be able to instantly publish the blog to their website, complete with images. Yes, you could actually update your website while you’re sitting on the beach enjoying the breeze, or more likely, while you are on the scene of some major event, be it a trade conference or accident scene.

Let’s get started, and take a look at some Android web development apps.

    AndFTP

AndFTP is an FTP client app that allows you to transfer files to your web server via not only FTP, but also via SFTP, SCP and FTPS protocols. You can set up several different FTP servers using AndFTP, and it also comes with a device file browser and a FTP file browser (which means you can see the files both on your Android device as well as the remote server). Like a typical FTP client, you are able to rename, delete, copy, set permissions and create folders.

    JavaScript Reference

The JavaScript Reference app is the only reference app I have mentioned here, not because there aren’t reference apps and cheat sheets for other web development languages (there are HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery and many other cheat sheets apps available), but because this one is derived from the W3CSchool’s own documentation, and uses a clean, easy-to-use interface.

Properties and methods of each object are detailed, along with examples for each. This is a great resource, and covers all built-in JavaScript objects, browser objects and HTML DOM objects.

    kWS – Android Web Server

The kWS – Android Web Server is a very basic web server that runs on your Android device. It isn’t a surprise that a web server can run on an Android device–after all, Android is based on the Linux operating system. What is surprising is that it is so very lightweight and fast that if you are loading pages from it through your local wifi network, you won’t be able to notice a difference from any other web server that you access.

The kWS web server implements HTTP-1.0 and is capable of hosting most file types, and works like a typical web server. You won’t be likely to be running your website off of this server permenantly, but for testing out a page, it comes in very handy.

    Analytix for Google Analytics

If you are used to working with Google Analytics (GA) for your website, you will be very likely to want to install and use the Analytix app. It provides you with access to most of the details from your Google Analytics account–almost in real time. It provides hourly views and clean visualizations, which comes in very handy for SEO work.

There are other GA apps out there for Android, but in my opinion, Analytix is the only one worth installing and working with.

    View Web Source

Although it may seem that being able to view the source of a web page is something common to all web browsers, once you are using an Android device and the stock Android browser (and even other browsers on an Android device), you quickly realize that “View Source” is not a standard function on Android devices. Enter the View Web Source app, which works just as you would expect.

All you have to do is to enter a URL, then you are presented with the page’s source code, which you can then copy to your device’s clipboard for use later.

    WordPress for Android

If you are a typical developer, you have probably worked with at least one of the top open source content management systems (CMSes). I looked for Android apps which would allow me to work with each of them, and was able to find one or more apps for each CMS. We’ll start with the WordPress for Android app.

WordPress for Android is, like WordPress itself, an open source app that allows you to create new posts, edit content, view stats and manage comments–and it comes with built-in notifications, so you’re kept up to date as you work.

    Drupal Editor

Having a Drupal site myself, I definitely wanted to check out the Drupal Editor app.

Like the other CMS apps, it allows you to create, post and edit articles on the site. The Blog API has to be enabled in order for the Drupal Editor app to work, but if you run a Drupal website, this is a simple tasks.

    Joooid 1.1 Joomla! Editor

Since I also have several Joomla! websites, I was eager to try out the Joooid 1.1 Editor app. It allows you to publish articles that include HTML text, images, galleries and maps which include the GPS-determined position where the article was published.

Like the others, I installed the Joooid 1.1 app to my tablet, installed the plug-in which went with it on my Joomla! website, and tried it out. Nada–several error messages later and some Google searching and I found out that the version of Joomla! I was running (version 1.6), was not compatible with Jooid 1.1, but that Joooid 1.2 beta would indeed do the job.

I downloaded and installed the beta plugin and Joooid 1.2 beta Joomla! Editor. following the installation instructions on their website, and within 10 minutes I was creating content and working with my Joomla! website–through my Android device.

    Webmaster’s HTML Editor Lite

Sure, Android devices come with a rudamentary text editor, but it’s not really made with the intention of people using it for editing web pages. That’s where Webmaster’s HTML Editor Lite comes to mind. It not only allows you to edit HTML, it also enables you to edit and work with CSS, PHP and JavaScript, and features syntax highlighting and code completion.

    ConnectBot SSH Client

While you may not have a reason to use an SSH or telnet client often, when you need one, nothing else will do. I found the ConnectBot SSH Client app to be the full-featured SSH client I was looking for.

ConnectBot is a Secure Shell client that allows you to connect to your web server, so you are able to transfer files back and forth, make edits and run commands on your remote web host, directly from your Android device.

    Conclusion

We’ve pointed out some web development apps for Android devices that can save you time and provide you with a way to let your inner geek shine–because it’s just too much fun to be able to create, develop and deploy websites–using your smartphone or tablet. And we only scratched the surface–there are countless other web development reference apps, knowledge testing apps, cheat code apps and more for the Android-loving web developer.

    What Is An iPhone UDID? #app #store,app #store #apps,apps,development,ios,itunes,iphone #news

    #

The term UDID is occasionally thrown around when discussing privacy or development topics concerning the iPhone. I m sure that we all don t know what UDID stands for, so I thought I would explain the purpose of a UDID.

A UDID, or Unique Device Identifier, is simply a specific serial number for your iDevice. There are multiple advantages to having this device-specific serial, but it mainly serves as a way to document the existence of your device and to track it.

Think of your iPhone s UDID as its social security number. It is a 40-number, alphanumeric string that is not replicated on any other iDevice

Your UDID is also important because it is the way that most ad companies profile cellphone users for marketing purposes. Lately, there have been a lots of issues raised about iOS apps sending UDID numbers to ad companies without the user s permission.

If you are familiar with the world of app development, you are already very familiar with the UDID. Apple allows developers a way to beta test iOS apps with up to 100 iDevices. You have to supply the developer with your UDID in order to install these beta, ad-hoc applications.

To find your iPhone s UDID, plug your iPhone into iTunes. Click on your iPhone in the list of devices and look at its summary. You will see Name, Capacity, Software Version, Serial Number and Phone Number. Click on the Serial Number and it will change to show you your UDID.

Even if you re not in the world of app development, it s always good to be informed. If you re interested, you can read an article by the Wall Street Journal on how app makers are using your device s UDID.

Did you know your iPhone had a UDID?

they is a way to change it via UDID Faker. This was made for stuff like this. For each one of my apps, I have changed my UDID to be of a different serial. For every app I download, I randomize the UDID again. It s needed in the steps to help protect ourselves, as this could be the reason why apple took out the way to spot jailbreakers in 4.2.1. It could be because they plan to use this to find out if you were jailbroken or not

The government will soon be marking babies with Udid lol.

Wow, thats the first time I saw a conspiracy theory in the comments 0_0

Short and sweet article. Up to the point. Thanks for posting this.

    Android Software Development LifeCycle – Stack Overflow #application #development #life #cycle

    #

i am concerned about the SDLC of android apps and the etropy that to program an android app that would come under software engineering principles. To clarify like we have life cycle of developement of all softwares products. which rule the principles / foundation of the software building i need to know what are the keep factors / principes of android developement lifecycle can not find them anywhere

To make it More Clear what things i am concered of are.

    Requirements and Cost/benefits Analysis

Detailed Specification of the Software Requirements

and models that should be applied to android development

Linear or Waterfall model (which was the original SDLC method)

    Rapid Application Development (RAD)

    Joint Application Development (JAD)

Especially What are Testing Techniques for android the one with Eclipse Juinit Testing Doesnot seems to work well

A common consensus appears to be “very short”. Most apps, unless they have an exceptionally large user base, tend to last only a very short while (1-12 months). A lot of mobile developers tend to favour the “Release updates as frequently as possible” approach, with new iterations of apps appearing sometimes weekly.

Another approach is to develop as little as possible, wasting as little resource as possible on any single project. Apps that are developed this way tend to have one or two bugfixes, and are then left to die off in their own time.

With new iterations of Android appearing more frequently than most people update their handsets, most developers tend to focus on a broad compatibility range.

    So, to round that off:
    Not very long at all.

Accessing the host file system from a Docker container on OS X or Windows

    21 December 2015

Mounting (or sharing) a directory from the Docker daemon host into a container is simple enough. Example:

However, on OS X and Windows, the Docker daemon (currently) runs inside of a Linux VM, that by default is run using VirtualBox. (Since Docker only runs natively on Linux) So, you d be mounting a folder from the Linux VM. which is probably not what you want if you want to share files from your host machine into the container.

Thankfully, VirtualBox allows sharing of folders from your host machine into the VM where the Docker daemon resides. The Docker Linux VM is also auto-configured to mount either /Users (OS X) or C:\Users (Windows) into /Users on the Linux VM:

This means we can mount /Users from the Linux VM into a container, allowing it access to your underlying host/physical system s files in /Users (OS X) or C:\Users (Windows).

Here s an example I used when playing around with the TensorFlow Docker image :

This mounted /Users (from the local host file system) into /host/Users. so I had access to source code files I was editing. (You could also make the container mount the file system as read-only by appending :ro to the -v argument.)

To share other directories on your host system, you d just need to add those to the Shared Folders for the VirtualBox Linux VM, then use another -v argument to the docker command to mount them into the container.

Note that with this method you re going through two levels of mounting/sharing: From the ultimate host system to the Linux VM (via VirtualBox s shared folders) and then from the Linux VM to the container. The first is likely to have a performance impact, so I wouldn t use it in production. Then again, for production you should probably be using the native Linux version of Docker.

    T-SQL String Manipulation Tips and Techniques, Part 1 #t-sql, #database #development,

    #

T-SQL String Manipulation Tips and Techniques, Part 1

T-SQL is a language that was mainly designed to handle data manipulation tasks. Not much effort and attention were given to other kinds of tasks, such as string manipulation. Therefore, when you do need to manipulate strings in T-SQL, it can sometimes be quite challenging even for seemingly simple tasks. This article is the first of a two-part series in which I cover several common string manipulation needs. I d like to thank the following people who provided input regarding this topic: Ruben Garrigos, Kevin Boles, Fabiano Amorim, Milos Radivojevic, Peter Larsson, and Davide Mauri.

Counting Occurrences of a Substring Within a String

This code returns the value 3, indicating that the substring hello appears three times in the string abchellodehellofhello .

The steps in this technique are:

Because the solution is in the form of a single expression, it can be applied as part of a query using the underlying table s or view s attributes as inputs.

Exactly N Occurrences of a Substring Within a String

One obvious way to achieve this is to use the previous technique to count occurrences of a substring in a string, like so:

Another way to handle the task is to use the LIKE predicate, like so:

With both techniques, the validation is handled by a single expression. Therefore, you can easily embed the expression in a query filter or a CHECK constraint in a table definition.

Replacing Multiple Contiguous Spaces With a Single Space

) or even multiple characters (e.g.

    (token plus space).

  • Replace in the result of the previous step each occurrence of
(space plus token) with (an empty string).
  • Replace in the result of the previous step each occurrence of

    (token plus space) with (space).

  • All this translates to the following T-SQL expression:

The output of this code is: this is a string with lots of spaces.

    Replacing Overlapping Occurrences

The next challenge was brought up by Davide Mauri; he initially found it in the Italian SQL Server forums. It involves a certain misconception that some people have regarding the way the REPLACE function works. Consider the following code. Before executing it, see if you can guess what the output will be:

Some people intuitively think that the output should be .y.y.y.y. however, it s actually .y.x.y.x. The reasoning behind the actual result is that REPLACE considers nonoverlapping occurrences from left to right. If we represent the string .x. with the symbol A, you can express the source string as AxAx.; then, replacing each occurrence of A with .y. gives you .y.x.y.x..

Suppose you want to handle the replacement task while considering overlapping occurrences. One way to achieve this is to nest two calls to the REPLACE function, like so:

Another option is replacing each occurrence of the separator with two, then applying the originally intended replacement, then replacing each two occurrences of the separator with one. Here s the expression in T-SQL:

String Formatting Numbers With Leading Zeros

There are several tasks related to formatting numbers as strings that people often inquire about. T-SQL perhaps isn t the best place to handle those, but I ll still present solutions mainly for their technical value.

The output of this code is -0000001759.

Another solution involves converting the absolute input value to a character string, concatenating a string with nine zeros (000000000) with the result of the previous step, extracting the 10 rightmost characters from the result, and finally adding the minus sign in front if the input is negative. Here s the expression that implements this logic:

SQL Server 2012 (formerly code-named Denali ), is planned to support a function called FORMAT that will make your life really easy when it comes to formatting strings representing numbers and other types of values. The FORMAT function accepts a format string compatible with .NET format strings for similar purposes, indicating how you want to format the value. For our specific task, the expression is very simple:

Left Trimming Leading Occurrences of a Character

The technique to achieve this is quite straightforward when the source string doesn t contain spaces to begin with. You first replace each occurrence of a zero with a space, then apply LTRIM to remove leading spaces, then replace each occurrence of a space with a zero, like so:

    This code returns 1709.

If spaces are allowed in the input, you want to first replace each existing space with a token that you know can t appear in the source data (e.g.

), then apply the previous technique, then replace each occurrence of the token with a space, like so:

    This code returns 1709 ABC.

This just gives you an idea of dealing with one complication. Of course there can be several additional complications, such as support for negative values, spaces at the beginning, and so on.

Checking That a String Is Made of Only Digits

One solution in which you don t need to worry about special cases is to generate a string pattern in which you replicate the character pattern [0-9] (basically, a digit) as many times as the number of characters in the input string, like so:

The problem with this approach is that if the input strings are very long, the pattern generated will be five times as long as the input.

There s another solution that also doesn t require you to deal with special cases, and it uses a very short pattern. You use two levels of negation, verifying that the string doesn t contain any character that s not a digit, like so:

Just like with the previous techniques I described, the last two validation techniques implement the logic using a single expression. This means that you can embed the predicate wherever predicates are supported in T-SQL, operating on a table or view attribute. For example, if you need to enforce this rule in a CHECK constraint as part of a table definition, you can, like so:

Make the Most of T-SQL s Tools

I covered several common string manipulation tasks: counting occurrences of a substring within a string, verifying that there are an exact number of occurrences of a substring within a string, replacing multiple contiguous spaces with a single space, replacing overlapping occurrences, formatting strings representing numbers with leading zeros, left trimming leading character occurrences, and verifying that a string is made of only digits. As you saw, T-SQL doesn t provide very rich capabilities in this area. You therefore need to be a bit creative with the limited set of tools that you do get. Fortunately, SQL Server Denali improves support for string manipulation by adding new functions, among them the FORMAT function that lets you format an input based on a format string.

Next month, I ll continue the discussion about string manipulation, and I ll cover additional challenges related to string manipulation involving tricky type conversions. If you have your own cool and creative techniques to handle common string manipulation needs, I d love to hear about them.

Gartner Says Demand for Enterprise Mobile Apps Will Outstrip Available Development

    #

SYDNEY, Australia, June 16, 2015 View All Press Releases

Gartner Says Demand for Enterprise Mobile Apps Will Outstrip Available Development Capacity Five to One

Latest Enterprise Application Trends Will Be Addressed at Gartner’s Application Architecture, Development and Infrastructure Summit in Sydney, 20-21 July 2015

By the end of 2017, market demand for mobile app development services will grow at least five times faster than internal IT organizations’ capacity to deliver them, according to Gartner, Inc. Gartner forecasts mobile phone sales will reach 2.1 billion units by 2019, which will fuel demand for apps in the enterprise that meet the high performance and usability of consumer apps.

Speaking ahead of the Gartner Application Architecture, Development Integration Summit in Sydney on 20-21 July, Gartner principal research analyst Adrian Leow said enterprises find it a challenge to rapidly develop, deploy and maintain mobile apps to meet increasing demand, as it is exceedingly difficult and costly to hire developers with good mobile skills.

“Organizations increasingly find it difficult to be proactive against competitive pressures, which is resulting in their mobile apps becoming tactical, rather than strategic,” said Mr. Leow. “We’re seeing demand for mobile apps outstrip available development capacity, making quick creation of apps even more challenging. Mobile strategists must use tools and techniques that match the increase in mobile app needs within their organizations.”

According to Gartner, employees in today’s digital workplace use an average of three different devices in their daily routine, which will increase to five or six devices as technologies such as wearable devices and the Internet of Things (IoT) eventually become mainstream. Many of these employees are given the autonomy to choose the devices, apps and even the processes with which to complete a task. This is placing an increasing amount of pressure on IT to develop a larger variety of mobile apps in shorter time frames.

Despite this, a Gartner survey on mobile app development conducted in 2014 found that the majority of organizations have developed and released fewer than 10 apps, with a significant number of respondents not having released any mobile apps at all.

“This is an indication of the nascent state of mobility in most organizations, with many organizations questioning how to start app development in terms of tools, vendors, architectures or platforms, let alone being able to scale up to releasing 100 apps or more,” said Mr. Leow.

According to Gartner, there are four best practices that organizations can consider to successfully overcome app development challenges:

Mobile development teams are overstretched and have difficulty effectively delivering the growing number of mobile apps in their queues. The result is apps being built on a first-come, first-served basis, with the line of business making the most noise having its needs met first. This lack of value-driven prioritization leads to inefficient use of IT resources and a degradation in the quality of apps delivered. According to Gartner analysts, mobile development teams need to formulate a process of mobile app prioritization that involves understanding the needs of business stakeholders. This will be a key factor in defining common criteria for evaluating mobile app projects.

    2) Adopt a bimodal IT approach

Integration is often the largest part of the effort of delivering an enterprise mobile app, with many app development teams underestimating the time and resources required for integration during the planning stage of the traditional waterfall methodology they are following. Gartner believes organizations need to replace this traditional IT development approach with a bimodal strategic approach that supports innovation and agility to deliver apps more efficiently and quickly. Bimodal approaches consist of two models: Mode 1 drives the creation of stable infrastructure and APIs to allow apps to retrieve and deliver data to back-end systems without impacting those enterprise applications, while Mode 2 uses high-productivity, agile approaches to quickly deliver front-end app features required by the business.

    3) Use rapid mobile app development (RMAD) tools

Using development tools that can produce apps more rapidly is crucial for enterprises to help bridge the gap between mobile app demand and supply. Significant innovation is driving this market and replacing traditional coding approaches, such as native development tools, with more effective RMAD tools. There are many approaches to RMAD, including drag-and-drop codeless tools, code generation and orchestration, model-driven development, virtualization, forms construction, and others. These approaches are allowing those with no programming skills or coding ability, such as people in business roles, to rapidly assemble mobile app prototypes and continuously iterate on these designs.

    4) Adopt a mixed-sourcing approach

Organizations want to have full control over their mobile app development initiatives, however, maintaining a pure in-house development environment is difficult to achieve given mobile is a relatively new competency to many developers. It entails many complexities and specific activities, such as UX design and psychology or cellular coverage testing, which may be more efficiently handled by an outsourced third party experienced in mobile app development. Gartner believes organizations will improve their in-house mobile development skills over time, but currently only 26 percent of organizations are adopting an in-house-only development approach, while 55 percent are successfully delivering apps using mixed sourcing.

The latest enterprise application trends, technologies and strategies will be discussed at the Gartner Application Architecture, Development and Integration Summit 2015 in Sydney on Monday 20 and Tuesday 21 July. Follow #GartnerAADI on Twitter for updates.

What is DevOps (Development and Operations)? Webopedia Definition #enterprise, #developer, #software,

    #

    DevOps – development and operations

DevOps (dev elopment and op erations ) is an enterprise software development phrase used to mean a type of agile relationship between development and IT operations. The goal of DevOps is to change and improve the relationship by advocating better communication and collaboration between these two business units.

Why Do We Need DevOps in the Enterprise?

In the enterprise there is a need to break down silos, where business units operate as individual entities within the enterprise where management, processes and information are guarded. On the software development side and for those working in IT operations there needs to be better communication and collaboration to best serve the IT business needs of the organization.

    DevOps Culture

One answer to breaking down enterprise silos is the move towards a DevOps-based culture that partners developers with operations staff to ensure the organization achieves optimal running of software with minimal problems. This culture is one that supports a willingness to work together and share.

The DevOps culture puts a focus on creating a fast and stable work flow through development and IT operations. One main goal of DevOps is to deploy features into production quickly and to detect and correct problems when they occur, without disrupting other services.

    DevOps Principles

DevOps is not based on stringent methodologies and processes: it is based on professional principles that help business units collaborate inside the enterprise and break down the traditional silos. The guiding principles of DevOps include culture, measurement, automation and sharing.

DevOps is considered to be a new approach to the more traditional application lifecycle management (ALM) process.

    What our clients are saying.

While building my business, I could not have imagined how crutial a website would possibly be. I did my research and recieved multiple bids from dozens of potential website companies. I chose HBCWeb.com in the end because of their endless resourses, the quality of their existing websites and the personability of their staff. Lights out management of a NetApp FAS2020

Posted in Inside TFG. Tips and Tricks

Our DEVOPS team manage a NetApp FAS2020 filer for a customer, and recently our network monitoring systems began reporting an issue connecting to the device s BMC (Board Management Controller). This is the independent processor that provides the lowest level access to the system. In theory, if everything was to break and the machine was to blow up, we should be able to log into the BMC and find out what is going on. It s an entirely separate computer tasked with providing a (secure!) back-door to the system in case of catastrophic failure.

Even though NetApp has a phenomenal reputation at a technical seminar last year, a sales engineer said that no NetApp customer has ever lost data due to a hardware failure I still don t feel comfortable without access to the BMC.

Access to the BMC (on other NetApp devices the LOM controller is called a Remote Management Controller, or RMC) is via SSH, using naroot as the username. From here you can move up the chain to a system console, and use CTRL-G to move down the chain back to the BMC.

The filer also allows management via SSH directly, and not through the BMC. I used this shell to restart the BMC.

    ilca-netapp bmc help status
    bmc status
    – Display status for a Baseboard Managment Controller (BMC).
    ilca-netapp bmc help reboot
    bmc reboot
    – Reboot the Baseboard Managment Controller (BMC)
    ilca-netapp bmc reboot
    ilca-netapp The BMC rebooted successfully

It looks like the SSH daemon was simply hung (it had an uptime of 270+ days prior to the reboot) and restarting the BMC through the management console in this way corrected the issues the monitoring systems were reporting.

10 Best New Agriculture Apps For 2015

Has the app market reached a saturation point? Consider Google Play and the iTunes App Store combined have more than 2.5 million apps, according to recent statistics. And with hundreds of new apps added every day, one could argue enough is enough.

But I won t. I say, bring it on. A competitive apps market is driving up quality. In fact, TechCrunch.com reported last year that Google removed 60,000 apps from their store that were not up to the mark when it comes to quality and usability. So with app developers forced to step up their games, it can only be good for customers.

The same holds true for ag professionals, who have a bounty of quality apps at their disposal for their Androids, iPads, iPhones and more. To help you sort through the best new agriculture apps available, I ve once again researched the latest ones to hit the market. For the purpose of this list, I selected apps that were introduced — or significantly updated — in 2014 or due to launch in early 2015. View the slideshow above to see which apps made the cut.

    Also Worth A Download

Sirrus (update). Sirrus is the precision agriculture app from SST Software that allows you to digitize field boundaries, soil sample, scout your crops, check weather conditions and graph rainfall estimates per field. Features include: drive field boundaries using GPS or draw them using high-resolution background imagery; digitize center-pivots with ease; soil sample using a grid, zones, or previous soil sampling points; view weather forecasts, current conditions and historical rainfall graphs; record scouting data such as pest pressure, stand counts, and much more; generate and share PDF scouting reports; share data with other agX Platform users via Data Bullet; and store and share data securely on the agX Platform. Sirrus requires an agX Account, which can be created for free in the app. (iPad )

Great Lakes Early Detection Network (update). Now you can submit invasive species observations directly with your smartphone from the field by using the Great Lakes Early Detection Network (GLEDN) app. These reports are uploaded to EDDMapS and e-mailed directly to local and state verifiers for review. Developed by the University of Georgia’s Center for Invasive Species and Ecosystem Health, GLEDN has several new features in Version 2.0, including new navigation, ability to draw shapes on maps for infested area and reporting of negative data to track eradications. (Android. iPad. iPhone )

Agrivi. Based on best-practice production processes for more than 60 crops, Agrivi app guides farmers to improve their production and increase productivity. Its features include project-oriented farm management with a simple and fast way of planning, monitoring and tracking all farm activities and inputs usage, advance sales and expense tracking ensures taking control over farm finances, inventory management with low inventory alarms removes delays in production caused by lack of inputs and weather monitoring with detailed 7-day weather forecast and 3-year weather history for each field and smart disease risk detection alarms. (Android. iPad. iPhone )

TractorPal. This app keeps inventory and maintenance records for all your personal agriculture machines and attachments, including cars and trucks of all brands. TractorPal enables you to log all of your large and small machinery and automobiles including tractors, pickups, lawn mowers, cars, combines, sprayers, loaders, skid-loaders, backhoes, attachments, and more. You can also record each item’s maintenance (e.g. changing oil, filters, tires, and irregular repairs), and will remind you when service is required. (Android. iPad. iPhone )

Tire Advisor. Now you can access all of Bridgestone’s commercial tire products in one easily searchable app. Included are truck and bus tires (e.g. Bridgestone, Firestone, Dayton), Bandag retreads and off road mining and construction tires (e.g. Bridgestone and Firestone). Each product selection provides useful information including, features/benefits, product images, technical specifications, and warranties. There are three easy ways to search for products: a step-by-step guided search, a filtered search and a keyword search that allows you jump quickly to a product you already know by pattern name. (iPad )

MachineryGuide. You can use your tablet or smartphone as a precision tractor GPS system using the MachineryGuide app. It s one of the first guidance software programs that functions as a precision farming application using an antenna. These antennas are capable of receiving and processing free corrections (e.g. EGNOS, WAAS). It can be used for any farming activity which is done by tractor or other agricultural machinery, including fertilization, manure application and spraying. It even can be used for land measurements as well. (Android )

From the inital contact, the web development managerwas professional and was able to answer my questions and concerns efficantly and with great knowledge of the field.

Throughout the actual production of my site RoundersNetwork.com, HBCWeb.com’s staff was there to hold my hand every step of the way. While I completly believe in my business model, I am not versed on the technical sides of web design/production. I couldn’t have imagined how much work goes into making a website. The production team were completely at my disposal, making sure I understood what was going on and how each step is completed.

As I look forward to the future I have complete confidence in HBCWeb.com and what they can do for my business ventures. I have already began working with them on building my next website.

I have been dealing with HBCWeb for over one year on my various internet sites. I have found them to be very knowledgable, accomodating, communicative and their services are reasonably priced and work produced on time. It has been a pleasure doing business with HBCweb.

I really appreciate all of your hard work on this project. I am very proud of the product before us. Thanks for being able to translate my thoughts into a tangible design. And most of all, thanks for being good at what you do! Looking at your portfolio only says so much; Witnessing firsthand your mastery of web design gives me better understanding and a much greater respect for what you do. I have been extremely impressed with your level of expertise and professionalism throughout this process.

Integrating an e-commerce site with an airline reservation system is no small feat, but hbcweb made it look easy. From initial development of our website, to updates and special projects, we rely on hbcweb, and they always get it done on time and on budget. Of the hundreds of vendors we work with, they’re one of the best.

The Priceline Partner Network team were a sincere pleasure to work with. Redesigning our site was a major initiative for us and I know we made the right decision by going with HBCWeb. Their deep experience with travel sites, exceptional client service and design capabilities all provided for a successful outcome to our redesign initiative.
