Sewer Jetting Nozzles #drain #jetting #machines, #sewer #jetting #nozzles

Sewer Jetting Nozzles

Laser, Corner, Ram and Rotary Nozzles

These sewer jetting nozzles are used in wide range of cleaning applications. The two major application groups are sewer and drain cleaning and industrial pipe and tube cleaning. In addition, there are other speciality applications such as hydro drilling (using high pressure water as the cutting agent to drill holes in rock and soil). We at Ultimate Washer, offer nozzle sizes from 1/8 , perfect for small electric or gasoline jetters used in residential applications, up to 3/8 NPT nozzles suitable for large trailer mounted equipment used for city municipal applications and commercial treatments.

Laser NozzleOperation: 1 water spray forward and 3 sprays backward (excellent for forward cleaning, cuts through roots, tough dirt and other debris.)

  • Forward Ports Blast Into Pipe and Break Up Clogs and Debris
  • Physically Small for Cornering Ability
  • Max Pressure: 4000 PSI
  • Corrosion Resistant Stainless Steel Construction

Corner Nozzle Operation: 1 water spray sideways and 2 sprays backward (good for around the corner application.)

  • Side Port To Blast at Corners where Hose Cannot Navigate
  • Physically Small for Cornering Ability
  • Max Pressure: 4000 PSI
  • Corrosion Resistant Stainless Steel Construction

Ram Nozzle Operation: 2 sprays backward

  • Reverse Ports for Greater Forward Thrusting
  • Physically Small for Cornering Ability
  • Max Pressure: 4000 PSI
  • Corrosion Resistant Stainless Steel Construction

(Shipping charge of $8.95 will apply on these items if the total order is less than $69.00)

Stainless Steel Rotating Sewer Nozzle

Rotating nozzles are physically small for cornering ability. Backward ports drive the nozzle forward and flush debris. Sideways ports impact walls. The Rotation of this sewer jetting nozzles adds extra agitation and surface cleaning.

  • Max Pressure: 4000 PSI
  • Corrosion Resistant Stainless Steel Construction
  • Rotating sewer nozzles have 3 sprays back for flushing out debris.
  • Rotating duct cleaners have 2 sprays sideways for agitation at side walls.
  • Call to order different orifice size

(Shipping charge of $8.95 will apply on these items if the total order is less than $69.00)

Sewer Jetter Nozzles

When dealing with larger sewer lines, the Warthog family of sewer nozzles is a premium choice. Several models are available for pump ranging in pressures from 5,000-8,000 PSI and 4-80 GPM flow rates. Matching your Warthog sewer nozzle to your pump will ensure maximum productivity. These nozzles use fewer jets so the power from the jets is concentrated for best surface cleaning results. Warthog nozzles have a patented controlled rotation using a viscous fluid governor that allows the jets to deliver their full power and increasing control. Front jets are 15 degrees off center creating a powerful front end that cuts through roots, sediments, grease and other blockages with ease. Back jets rotate to flush out debris and blockage loosed by the forward jets. Made of the finest steels and corrosion resistant alloys, the nozzles are completely serviceable. Choose from these specialty nozzles when the job demands tough tools and high volume sewer jetting equipment.

Warthog Sewer Jetting Nozzle Package

The Warthog sewer nozzle is one of the most powerful and most sought after tools in the jetting industry. These nozzles are capable of withstanding high pressures and large volumes of water which is critical to efficient operation. Fully serviceable in the field to minimize downtime and maximize performance. We offer complete service and seal kits, tool kits, and attack tips to keep your nozzles up and running. Call for more details on repair parts. Use with small cart mounted jetters to large trailer mounted versions.

Warthog Sewer Jetting Nozzles FAQ

What do I need to specify to order a Warthog correctly jetted for my application?
A: Each order requires; the operating pressure at your jetting pump, maximum flow capability, hose ID, and hose length. With this information we can run our jetting program that assures your Warthog will deliver the most power possible.

How long can I expect the Warthog to last?
A: Service life is indefinite, as all parts are readily available, and the tool comes with detailed rebuild instructions. The model WT-3/8 is an exception, since the most expensive machined part is what wears in this design. As a result it’s sometimes a better idea to replace a badly worn WT-3/8 with a new one, than to rebuild it.

How big a root can the Warthog cut?
A: Tests indicate that roots up to 3/16 in. thick can be cut at normal jetting pressures, 2000 to 4000 psi. It is possible to cut bigger roots if the nozzle is positioned perfectly and allowed time to cut away at the root. TV inspection equipment is often used for this purpose.

How long a hose can be pulled by the Warthog?
A: That depends on the pump power available, but adequate pulling force is usually developed to pull 500 to 800 feet of hose. Additional pulling force can be attained by plugging the forward jet. Longer hose runs are not recommended because hose pressure loss becomes so great that jetting power is seriously diminished.

What is the biggest diameter line that can be cleaned with the Warthog?
A: Since most debris collects in the bottom of the line, there is no limit to line size. However, if the deposits to be cleaned are distributed all around the line from top to bottom, then limits do exist.

How big a jetting pump is necessary to operate a Warthog?
A: The smallest Warthog WT-3/8 requires at least 4.6 gpm at 2,000 psi to rotate reliably. Other models are supplied for greater flows.

Is it necessary to soak the Warthog in oil between uses?
A: No, the bearings are sealed in a chamber full of lubricant. It will prolong seal life if the tool is drained and water blown out with air before storing.

Will the Warthog remove concrete from drains?
A: Only if you are lucky! Fortunately concrete spilled into drains often mixes with water, sand, and debris which causes its strength to be dramatically reduced. In such cases, it is possible to clean with typical sewer jetting pressures. But if it is not diluted, or if it is allowed to set, then it might require pressures above 10,000 psi to remove – regardless of what jetting nozzle is used.

Will the Warthog remove tuberculation and mineral scale?
A: Yes it often does, but effectiveness depends on pump power and the exact nature of the deposits. Hard mineral deposits sometimes require jetting pressure as high as 10,000 psi. Perpendicular ports can be used on the Warthog head to maximize scale cleaning performance. Contact StoneAge, for optional jetting designs.

I’ve been disappointed with spinning nozzles before. Why is the Warthog better?
A: The Warthog uses a patented control mechanism to limit rotation speed so that jet quality is maintained and dwell time of the jet on the deposit is increased. Also, fewer but bigger, high quality jets are used. The result is much more powerful jet impact on the deposits to be removed.

Will the Warthog damage vitrified clay lines or PVC lines?
A: At normal sewer jetting pressure and flow, it will not damage vitrified clay that was built to modern quality standards. If the nozzle is kept rotating and moving, then normal sewer jetting pressures and flows will not damage PVC lines. If not rotating, or if allowed to sit in one spot, it is possible to damage, even perforate PVC.

Rubbing Alcohol to Clean Pipes #clean #drain #pipes

Login to Send PM

I know alot of people like to use vodka or rum to clean their pipes, but I’m not much of a drinker. I’ve read that if I don’t use a drinkable alcohol to clean my pipes that I should use a “non-denatured” alcohol. Where can I find this? I’ve already checked all the drug stores and X-marts. If I can’t find it anywhere, should I use ethyl or isopropyl rubbing alcohol?

Some people use rubbing alcohol but I never have, so I can not comment on the pro’s and con’s of using it.

I use grain alcohol to clean my pipes. I do not drink grain alcohol and buy to use just for cleaning of my pipes.

Yeah, i’m with Python on this one. Don’t play around with denatured or isopropyl alcohol. I don’t drink either but buy grain alcohol to clean pipes. Everclear or any high proof alcohol works great and you know it won’t poison you.

Hello! I know this is kind of like. 7 months since the last post. but all the answers in this thread seem really helpful and I just have a question that sort of adds on.

A good friend of mine just bought me my first pipe and I absolutely love it.

I was in an antique store the other day and found a sort of unique looking one for $2 and decided it was maybe worth getting and trying to clean it out!

I see lots of people saying that isopropyl alcohol works fine as long as you leave it to dry for a while first. So here’s my question:
Doing it with iso alcohol, is that using the same method as posted HERE for example? Still use salt and do the same basic steps even though it isn’t everclear or something similar?

Isopropyl alcohol is what you want. I use 99%. Far less water content than booze, unless you can get your hands on pure !00% grain alcohol, but I have never seen it. It is not poison (at least anymore than any other alcohol) – they use it to clean open wounds. I understand that in some countries it is “denatured” – which simply means they add something to make you sick otherwise whines would be buying it to drink.

I think the “proof” of grain alcohol, like Everclear, can vary by state law and/or can be found in different proofs up to 190. In my state, you can’t buy it at all.

Unless you restore and clean a boatload of pipes, for the “average” puffer, a “fifth” (750 ml) of Everclear or Bacardi 151 will last for many years (assuming you don’t drink it up LOL). So for guys like me, it’s not expensive at all.

90+% Isopropyl alcohol, though, works just fine and sells for about $2-$3 a bottle in pharmacies. I just prefer using something potable so I use Bacardi 151.

I suggest isopropyl alcohol. Denatured ethaol is made toxic, so you do not drink untaxed alcohol (or IMO so you can’t consume alcohol at all). The toxin may or may not evaporate, so there are a risk of a light poisoning.

I know this is somewhat extravagant but I use Jim Beam Bourbon to clean my pipes after every 5 – 6 smokes. Does the job for me. Because I always clean my pipes thoroughly with a pipe cleaner after every smoke, I find I do not need to use a lot of alcohol. I use this also to restore pipe stems of estate pipes I have purchased. Soaking for 24 to 48 hours brings up the oxidization. Then it is straight to the buffer wheels(Beall system) and soon I have jet black shiny sparkling stems that look like they just arrived from the factory.

I’ve never used vodka, I would think it might be a tad weak. Nail varnish remover or isopropyl will more than do it

Lots of people will tell you they use iso alcohol to good effect, no harm done, but I don’t like the smell or the possibility of additives in the lesser grades. It takes very little grain alcohol like Everclear, or vodka or the like to clean a pipe— drops, it is always readily at hand, and I have never disliked the smell or taste of any of them!

To me, I can’t tell the difference between any of the liquors or isopropyl. I don’t drink, so one is just as good as the other to me.
Now nail polish remover, or acetone, you’d want to be careful what materials you are using that stuff on. It is known to dissolve some plastics.

I live in California and have only been able to find the 151 proof version of Everclear. That’s what I’ve been using and it works fine, but it costs a bit more than Bacardi 151, which is what I used to use and is easier to find. Both are great for cleaning, the Everclear being tasteless compared to the rum. Either way, a bottle dedicated for pipe cleaning will last a long time.

3 Ways to Unclog a Drain with Salt and Vinegar #unclog

How to Unclog a Drain with Salt and Vinegar

Mix salt and vinegar. In a small bowl, pour 1 cup of salt. Add 1 cup of vinegar. Stir well so the salt soaks up all the vinegar. Continue stirring until the mixture is smooth and even.

  • Add a 1/2 cup of lemon juice and mix thoroughly to give your paste some extra declogging-power thanks to the juice’s acidity.
  • If the clog is located deep within the pipe, or if you’re leaving the lemon juice out, add more vinegar for a thinner mixture so it travels more easily.

Pour the mixture into the drain. First, remove the drain’s stopper. Then pour the mixture directly down the drain. Coat the entire drain so the whole clog is sure to absorb the mixture. Allow it to sit for 15 minutes so the clog can absorb as much as possible. For especially stubborn clogs, let the clog soak for 30 minutes.

  • If you are unable to remove the stopper, add more vinegar to the mixture before pouring so it’s thinner.

Rinse the drain with boiling water. Boil 2 cups of water with a kettle or pan. Then pour the water directly into the drain. Pour slowly to avoid splash-back, which may scald you. Also pour slowly so you can aim the water directly into the drain instead of splashing the basin, which may absorb the heat and cool the water on contact before it reaches the clog.

  • Use boiling water instead of running hot water from the tap, since it may take a while for the hot water to kick in.

Providing Commercial and Residential Plumbing Solutions and Appliance Repair to the Quad Cities Area for Over 60 Years

In the 1930’s, Howard Petersen was a plumber’s apprentice, moonlighting as a race car driver. This was back in the days of open cock pits in racing and lead pipe in plumbing. After serving in World War II as a pipe fitter, Howard came home to work for a series of small plumbing shops.

In 1947, Howard and his Brother George made a decision to strike out on their own. They bought out Bill Mack and opened a small shop on West 3rd Street in Davenport. It was 1947 and the company vehicle was a very used 1934 Dodge panel truck.

Petersen now owns 50 separate company vehicles, not including seven back hoes and other pieces of equipment. Today, that tiny two-man operation can have nearly 100 persons on the payroll at different times of the year depending on the projects involved.

We invite you to ask around. Or check our customer reviews on Angie’s List. Over the past 60 plus years, Petersen Plumbing and Heating has made a lot of friends.
