Leak Detecting Services

How to Find a Water Leak

Our highly trained engineers at L.D.S. Leak Detection Specialists Ltd. will choose the approriate testing and inspection process specifically chosen to suit your home or commercial business to find the leak.

Our engineers at L.D.S. carry all the latest technology in leakage detection. We have listed the main Leak detection methods and equipment below. Inspection cameras. Protimeter mms damp meter survey kits, pressure gauges both hydraulic and digital and salts diagnostic kits also form part of the L.D.S. engineers equipment.

Leak Detection Methods to Find A Leak

Acoustics
Acoustic profiling uses ground and pipe sensitive microphones to enhance the sound of the leak. This method can help in pinpointing precise leak location.

Correlation
Is a way of finding and pinpointing leaks in water pipes. A leak in a pipe under pressure creates noise that travels through the pipe walls, the surrounding ground and along the contents of the pipe. Correlators are a very accurate sound testing device which are used to identify the acoustic frequency caused when a pipe is leaking. The correlator uses two identical sensors located along the pipe to calculate the leek location by logging the signal delay, sensor distance and the sound velocity.

Tracer Gas
The trace gas, a safe mixture of hydrogen and nitrogen, is introduced into the pipe with the suspected leak. The gas, is the lightest in the atmosphere and is made up of of small molecules. The gas will exit at the leak and make its way to the surface where it is detected using gas sensitive detection pobes.

Thermal Imaging
Thermography is the use of an infrared imaging and measurement camera to see and measure thermal energy emitted from an object. Thermography cameras can identify problem areas that can’t be seen with the naked eye, detecting hidden water leaks. The infrared inspection camera can detect not only hidden water leaks and their origin, but also moisture that cannot be physically reached with moisture meters. Read more

Pipe, Cable and Metal Detection and Tracing
Often the exact position of pipes and cables is unknown due to innacurate or non existant network plans. In order to carry out precise water leak detection and to avoid damage to utilities and operators during excavations, it is essential to know the precise position of all services. We use high performance equipment which can locate and trace buried pipes and cables.

Network Monitoring with Noise Loggers
Noise Loggers are used for early detection of leaks in water supply networks. The longer it takes to identify that a network is leaking the more revenue is lost and the greater the loss of precious water resources. In addition to the more conventional methods of leak detection the installation of permanent noise loggers has proved to be a cost effective tool in early identification of water loss. By permanently monitoring sections of the system, which have previously been proven leak free, it will alert you when a potential leak does develop. Read more .

“A friend who is a maven in finding outstanding resources, recommended Janice and Custom College Visits as we began the daunting college selection process. We worked with Janice on two fronts; to help create a list of colleges and to set-up meaningful colleges visits. The college visits were also a lot of fun for us as a family and very informative on so many levels. More importantly Janice helped make the college selection process manageable, not so daunting after all, and we felt no stone was left unturned in this important decision.

Tracy P. Parent of a New York City high school Senior

Thank you so much for planning such a wondrous experience for our son. The careful attention to detail was evident at every turn. Custom College Visits planning effort provided an appropriate path of discovery for our son and for us.

Michael C. New Jersey parent of a high school Junior

Hi Janice, Our trip was a thoroughly enjoyable family adventure! Thank you so much for the unique opportunities that you created for our daughter at each college. Meeting with a student at Harvard, was probably the most informative way to start the entire trip. She devoted a lot of time (in the rain) providing real college life details. She swiped us into dining halls, dorms & buildings that we might not have seen otherwise. The sophomore session at Princeton was wonderful! Thank you so much for everything that you did! We really were able to get the most out of each campus visit! Best, Julie

Julie, Parent of a high school Junior in Southern California

I found working with Custom College Visits a very positive experience. They were able to pinpoint colleges that were best suited for my daughter and the travel plans were well organized. In addition, they were able to set up an interview with a member of a college color guard, as my daughter had expressed interest in going to a school that had a color guard. I am very pleased with my experience with Custom College Visits, and would recommend them highly.

Mark L. Parent of high school junior in Northern California

Lili got accepted into her first choice school today (early decision): Boston University! She is thrilled beyond belief and relieved as well. We could not have done it without your help, it was invaluable. I think the High School Honors program she did there was probably very helpful and we would not have know about it without your forwarding the information to us. You rock! So, I am tipping my hat today to both you and Lili!

Kim T. Parent of high school senior in Kansas

I am happy to tell you that Nivi has been accepted early decision to Brown University. She is the first ivy leaguer in our family and we couldn’t be more proud! Her decision to apply was made easier because of the excellent experience she had during her customized tour via your company so thank you so much! We will be sure to recommend you to our friends here..

Gayathri S. Parent of high school senior Chennai, India

Thank you again for being so good at what you do. Our trip to the US was a huge success. I was on the verge of cancelling the trip but knew I couldn’t let my son down. That I even found you on the internet was a direct answer to my prayer for a miracle. The itinerary worked very well. I knew I was in good hands even before I boarded the plane to the U.S. and your attention to detail far exceeded my expectation.

Egbe O. Parent of international high school student

We had a wonderful trip to Philadelphia and Boston thanks to Janice Caine of Custom College Visits. She worked out an itinerary from start to finish. We visited 9 schools and it was as smooth as possible. Janice worked out tours and information sessions as well as meetings with tennis coaches. We have boy/girl twins and both were happy which is not an easy achievement. Not only did Janice work out the schedule but she recommended great schools in both towns. We would highly recommend her.

Phil S. Parent of high school students SF Bay Area

“Thank you SO MUCH for your involvement in the Splash Parents’ Program this weekend! I am just reviewing the feedback forms, and your presentation received rave reviews across the board; many parents cited it as the highlight of the program for them! Some verbatim quotes include: ‘The Planning and Preparing for College Visits was a great eye opener;’ Thank you for all the effort, energy, and enthusiasm you put into making the event such a success.”

Marisa M. Coordinator, Splash Parents’ Program Stanford University

Our college process was two-fold. It began with getting a jump start on the standardized testing, and not waiting until spring of junior year to focus. I believe our outcome was successful because we had a well-managed plan helped along by an expert, Janice Caine, of Custom College Visits.

Lisa L. Parent of high school students SF Bay Area

Happy New Year! Wanted to let you know that Charlie was accepted to Johns Hopkins Early Decision! Great news and very exciting all around. Thank you for all your help.

Beth A. Parent of a high school senior. Massachusetts

Welcome to Farm Business Management

In today s world, farming is a complex business with many facets. From the traditional family owned farm to the corporate farm, bookkeeping, profitability, tax planning and many other skills are required to complement traditional farming duties.

Agriculture is the number two industry in Minnesota, and Minnesota State Colleges and Universities offers many programs for farm owners and employees.

This site will help you explore the many possibilities that await.

Farm Business Management Education Programs

Minnesota State Colleges and Universities farm business management education programs are administered through eight college campuses at 46 different sites across the state. There are a total of 62 farm business management instructors.

Farm business management programs are designed to provide education to farm owners and operators or persons interested in farming. The purpose of the program is to assist students in meeting their business and personal goals. This is best accomplished through the use of quality records and sound business decisions. Effective financial management in the business is the best way for the business to maintain that competitive edge.

Instructors in Minnesota s farm business management education programs deliver the program using a variety of methods. The primary delivery method is through individualized instruction at the student s farming business. Instructors meet with the students on a regular basis to evaluate the business and develop individual educational plans. Instruction is also delivered in the traditional classroom, small group meetings, field trips and tours.

Farm business management education is managed at the state level by the senior system director for workforce development and customized training. The state of Minnesota is divided into six regions which are managed by five regional deans of management education.

I can’t say enough great things about Dr. Mark Palumbo. I injured my back at work, had some disc issues with horrible pain to the point I could barely walk. When other doctors said I would not ever be able to work my very physical job again, Dr. Palumbo proved them wrong. I have been back to work for over a year now.”

“I broke my left humerus in September 2013, I saw Dr. Got and he operated on me in October, it was a smooth recovery for me with the great team he had. I was back to work and back in the gym in four months. I would recommend anyone who experiences any bone break to go see Dr. Got.”

Dr. Bliss is awesome. I’m so grateful to have a doctor who cares about me. He listens and is genuinely concerned about my injury. The facility is well kept and staff is wonderful. I’d recommend them in a heartbeat.”

Amazing doctors, physical therapists, and facilities. The doctors are all very well educated and their staff are friendly as well. They also do a very good job of matching their patients to the physical therapists both in specialty and personality.”

*** My name is Will Arnzen and I am the owner operator of Arnzen Tile and Stone. *** For the tile and stone installation process we make sure to evenly distribute all of the different shades colors of the the tiles to make for a clean natural flowing tile installation. Instead of big patches of light dark tiles which can detract from the overall appearance. We also know all of the correct sealers applications so that your tile stone not only looks great when it is installed, but also 10 and 20 years from now We do recommend calling us back to professionally deep clean reseal the tile every 2-3 years for interior applications and every 1-2 years for exterior installations.

*** For bathroom shower remodels and tile installations I like to mud float all of my shower walls using roofing paper to protect the studs from water damage, metal wire mesh for strength and reinforcement, and a sand, cement, and water mix for the actual wall float which is far stronger and more durable than hardiebacker or similar products. I use 1/8 inch grout joints to make for a cleaner looking job. *** A good tile job is no accident. It takes good communication between the homeowner and tile installer.

1 check-in First to Review

My son and his brother are using this company to travel to NC. A one way ticket is $60.00 I guess that reasonable.

The bus was originally suppose to leave at 8 pm upon my arrival at 7 pm. I was informed the bus was now leaving at 9 pm.

But guess what the bus still isn t here, every time I ask the person at the counter where the bus is I m being told it will be here any minute. I swear if that man says that one more time I may be inclined to slap him. The bus finally arrived at 9:45 pm.

The only I like about this company is the fact that they have assigned sitting.

I m happy to report my son arrived safely to North Carolina

Okay, it s a Travelodge and I ve given it 5 stars. I ve also given the Grange City Hotel 5 stars but all things are relative.

You know what to expect with a Travelodge, they all look the same and as long as you have no expectations of luxury and decadence, you ll be fine. The rooms are clean and basic and that s all you need.

This particular Travelodge is great because it s a stone s throw from Canary Wharf, the City and City Airport. It s a great place to stay if you ve got an early morning flight or if, like me, you live outside of London and need a place to sleep if you re pulling a late night.

The 5 stars is awarded because it is clean, basic accommodation and, best of all, I ve never paid more than £40 per night to stay here.

Grange City is all well and good when it s being expensed but Travelodge is ideal when it s coming straight out of your own pocket.

Overview Mysterious and Exotic! There aren’t too many adjectives that can aptly describe the true essence, vibe and glitz of Middle East. Postcard-perfect landscapes, charismatic cultures, historical treasures, tantalizing culinary delights and a riveting world of sightseeing attractions reasons are certainly aplenty to look for air tickets on cheap flights to the Middle East destinations. From the scintillating sand dunes of Sahara desert to the ravishing stretch of Dead Sea, those buying these tickets on Middle East bound flights need to scratch below the surface to realise the world within the world. The wonderland of UAE is like a time machine to the future and the land of largest buildings, shopping malls, airport terminals on face of the earth. Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah are its top draws that steal the show and remain highly revered destinations among global travellers especially Britons. Move ahead and find the paradise like Muscat in Oman and Kingdom of Bahrain where majesty lives and breathes. The cities like Istanbul and Jerusalem are emerging as the remarkable destinations for some distinctive panache. But what binds these Middle Eastern gems is the eternal Islamic flair and ubiquitous cultural elan that extends from the labyrinth of souks to opulent hotels. Waste no time and book your flight tickets to experience the magic called the Middle East!

Winter (September to February) remains the best time to visit Middle East. Dulcet weather with average temperatures around 20 C is conducive to outdoor activities and sightseeing. It is the peak season when tons of holidaymakers’ book flight tickets to jaunt UAE and Oman, in addition to other Middle Eastern destinations. Summer is extremely scorching, with temperatures often reaching 40 C, making sightseeing and other outdoor activities quite difficult. However, the time is perfect for those seeking cheap flights and holiday deals to the region with less focus on outdoors.

Ranging from beach vacations to desert tours, every kinds of holiday is possible in the Middle East. The UAE is a hunting ground where luxury holidays take on a new meaning at some of the world’s most opulent properties. Most of the Middle Eastern destinations especially UAE, Muscat and Bahrain are tourist friendly. However, westerners are advised to pay heed to certain aspects related to their conduct. The omnipresent Islamic customs and traditions must be respected and holidaymakers should mind the do’s and dont’s of dress code. Ramadaan is a time of austerity and eating in public is a strict no. Acts like public display of affection are frowned upon. The medical infrastructure in Middle East matches the standards of the UK. It is sensible to buy travel insurance for warding off heavy medical expenses. Tourists planning a vacation can browse the FCO travel advice to have fair knowledge of the key travel aspects like visa, passport requirements and restricted areas.

Major Harris of West Virginia Enters College Football Hall of Fame

Major Harris of West Virginia Enters College Football Hall of Fame

This past weekend, Major Harris, one of the greatest players in Mountaineer history, was forever enshrined in the College Football Hall of Fame.

For those of us who followed his remarkable football career, the memories are still bittersweet.

For those of you too young to remember Major’s outstanding collegiate career, I urge you to check out some of his highlights on YouTube. They are incredible.

Major’s abilities on the gridiron took West Virginia to a prominence in college football the university had never known.

Unfortunately, his early departure left many with a bad taste in their mouths.

In the 1988 football season, Major took the Mountaineers to the mountaintop, playing Notre Dame in the national championship game.

A year later, coming on the heels of West Virginia’s Gator Bowl loss to Clemson, Major announced his intention to enter the NFL’s first draft of underclassmen.

Coming out of Pittsburgh’s Brashear High School, only West Virginia and Arizona State were willing to sign the City League star as a quarterback. Apparently, Don Nehlen and John Cooper were the only college coaches willing to adjust their offenses to complement the unique set of skills Major could bring to the table.

Major’s ability to both run and throw the football was groundbreaking for the time.

“You get a guy like Major Harris,” former Mountaineer assistant Dwight Wallace told me, “you’ve got to rebuild your whole offense with Major. You put him at quarterback, is he going to cause problems for the defense? For sure! That’s why I give Don Nehlen a lot of credit.

“Don allowed us to bring the offense to Major,” Wallace continued. “I don’t think the pro guys—at least at that time—they weren’t ready for Major.”

Taken in the 12th and final round of the NFL draft, his pro career seemed doomed from the outset. The Raiders immediately sent Major to Canada. He only played one season there, starring in the final game as the British Columbia Lions beat Saskatchewan.

Major was magnificent in that game, passing for a couple of touchdowns and running for a couple more. The game was vintage Harris.

Unfortunately, Major chose to leave Canada after only one season, entering the Arena League. From there, his love of the game would find him traveling around the country, playing minor league football, never finding his way back to the pros.

It was a tragic end to an otherwise promising career.

“I’m not bitter about how my career went,” Major said, “because every time I was given an opportunity to play, I delivered.”

Dwight Wallace also added some insight into Major’s failed professional career.

“I just felt his skill level was not a good match for the pro game and the mentality of the coaching staffs at that time,” Wallace said. “But I will tell you, if they’d ever given him the ball, he would have found a way to win, I think. He was just an unbelievable competitor.”

Major’s long overdue enshrinement in the Hall finally recognizes his unique contributions to the game. His skills paved the way for a host of college and pro quarterbacks who would eventually follow him.

As the first college quarterback to ever pass for over 5,000 yards and to rush for 2,000 more, Major certainly earned his place in the Hall of Fame.

Perhaps Mountaineer broadcaster Tony Caridi actually said it best: “He’s got that special innate quality that all the great ones have. All he cared about was winning! Major was oblivious to his numbers. He just loved to play the game.”

HEENA TOURS AND TRAVELS – MUMBAI Review, HEENA TOURS AND TRAVELS

#heena tours and travels
#

Summary

I went to far east tour (Singapore, malaysia and thailand – 9 days) through Heena travels.

1. The heena staff called me a day before depature saying that you would need to collect the passport tickets from mumbai. I am located in pune and couldnt travel to mumbai a day before just to pick up the passport/ tickets. Finally my father had to pick the passport on my behalf. They did not courier because there was chance of delay in the service and that could have cancelled the trip. So the last moment anxiety ended when we had passport tickets in our hands.

2. We were on our honeymoon and on reaching the airport we found that the seat arrangement was not side by side (pathetic !). We had to exchange places with other good co-passengers and sit next to each other. This was real pain for all the flight jounerys during the trip.

3. The trip was overall okay. The tour guide in thailand was very good, the one in malaysia was lazy. They covered most of the standard places in these countries.

4. It gets tiresome, if going on honeymoon I wouldnt suggest this tour as there is extensive sight seeing.

5. Weather was really hot and humid in the last week of january.

6. They mostly served Indian food at Indian restaurants. There is no choice of trying local food.

7. Hotel rooms were okay, not so great Overall I think Heena is okay as I did the entire booking from telephone. They still need to plan well on delevering passport on time and have consideration about seating arrangements.
