A long time ago I published a 360 degrees panorama viewer with Flare3D. and since I love these kinds of effects and photos like the ones made by Rick. I made the same thing using Three.js .

It s something similar to one of the examples you will find in the official site. but my script is shorter and simpler. And you can also change background photo. The theory is still the same: you map a panoramic photo inside an hollow sphere and place a camera inside it.

This is what you will get:

Drag the mouse to manually rotate the camera, press any key or refresh the page to change texture.

    An event ticket template can help you make your next party or gathering special. It can be a great marketing tool if you are sending it out to customers and inviting them to a special sale or unveiling of new materials.

    It can also be a good way to ensure you keep unwanted guests out of a large party. With so many uses for a ticket templates, it is a good thing that there are plenty of sample templates online for you to use.

    What to Include On A Template

    When you are looking for a template for event tickets, you want to ensure you find one that allows you to include all required information. For example, you want to make sure there is a spot to include:

    • The date of the event
    • The name of the event
    • The location of the event
    • The time of the event

    You may also want to consider putting the address on the event, or putting some type of catchy phrase or slogan on the ticket itself to make the event more appealing. If you have given your event a special title, you can also include that took.

    Finding an Event Ticket Template

    There are several online websites where you can find customizable event ticket templates. For example:

    • Microsoft Office features printable event ticket templates that can be added using your Microsoft Word software program. Editing is sample and intuitive for anyone who knows how to use MS Word and there are different shapes, sizes and styles of tickets. Their Holiday ticket includes festive colorings and graphics and they have tickets for tours, general events and raffles.
    • Free Ticket allows you to design tickets online and download or print them right from your web browsers. You can even design a “base” ticket that you save and modify for subsequent events.
    • The Paper Stock offers several free ticket templates for Chinese auctions and raffles. You can use the templates that are based on the Excel program- for anything of your choice. The Paper Stock also sells special perforated paper you can print your tickets on if you are interested in that option for printing your tickets.

    Ticket Size

    The size of your event ticket will dictate how much information you can put on it. A smaller ticket may be easier to create, print and collect at the door but a larger ticket can allow you to give guests more details.

    Think about printing costs and cutting the tickets apart when you create them. If you make a smaller ticket, you use less paper, which can potentially cut down on printing costs. However, it may be more difficult to cut the tickets apart if they are small- you can use a paper cutter, but that may not be precise and you don’t want your tickets to have jagged and uneven edges.


    You will have to have a paper copy of your ticket, so you will need to plan for printing once your ticket is done. You can print either in house or have a professional print, so you will need to decide what is most cost effective. Consider printing your ticket on heavier paper or special paper to ensure that it is easy for people to hold and bring to the event. You may also want to think about printing the ticket on special colored paper to make it more visually appealing for those attending.

    Other Considerations

    If you are hosting a large event, you want to make sure no one copies or makes unauthorized representations of your ticket so they can sneak in. Do this by creating a unique or hard to replicate design, by including people’s names on the tickets, or by including a serial number or some other means to check whether the ticket is legitimate or not.

    #1: Create Video People Will Share

    Because events take place in person, they engage the senses in a way online content can’t.

    Creating a stellar video with great visuals and sound can not only help drive people to your event. it also increases the chances people will want to share it with friends.

    Here are a few tips for creating a video:

    • Leverage it everywhere. including on your event page, in articles and with affiliates. Click here to see how we used it on our event page .
    • Host on Vimeo and YouTube. We host the video in both places to take advantage of the flexibilities of each platform—Vimeo’s branding control and YouTube’s access to a large audience.
    • Upload to Facebook. This maximizes your exposure on Facebook.
    • Focus on the value for attendees. In the above video, you’ll notice it is all about what folks will gain by attending.

    #2: Give Away Tickets to Create Buzz

    Nothing motivates people more than the opportunity to win something free! So why not give away a ticket or two for your event to really amp up the buzz ?

    Contests provide a rapid way to generate interest in your event—especially if you have the right prizes.

    Here’s a sample from the thousands of folks who wanted to win free tickets to Social Media Marketing World.

    Here’s how we do our contests :

    We start with a blog post where we describe the prize (the event!) and then how to participate.

    Here’s what a free ticket contest can look like.

    In the post, we invite people to participate in one of two ways. first is through a tweet contest and second is through commenting on the blog post by answering a question we’ve asked. For example “What is your greatest social media challenge?”

    Here are some tips on contests:

    • Recruit judges who will help extend the reach of the contest.
    • Keep the requirements super-easy to maximize participation. For example, a simple one-click tweet to enter is ideal.
    • Run your contest at a time that will be helpful to your sales cycle.
    • If you have a podcast, consider creating a special episode explaining the contest.

    #3: Socialize Your Google Ads

    Are you using Google AdWords to promote your event? Do you have a Google+ page?

    If so, you can actually add social proof to your paid Google ads. This increases the credibility of your ads.

    You can create great content that is valuable for all by simply interviewing your speakers .

    This works great if you have a podcast.

    In the months leading up to Social Media Marketing World. I interviewed many of the presenters from the conference for our Social Media Marketing podcast .

    We did NOT talk about the event at all. Instead I focused on exploring the expertise of the presenter and creating quality content. At the end of the podcast, I mentioned that listeners could meet the interviewee live at our event.

    #5: Create a “Group Tips” Blog Post

    Chances are you have great insight locked inside the minds of your event speakers. Why not pool that knowledge into a great blog post?

    This is where you ask experts to contribute a short writeup on their favorite tip, tool or perspective on a specific topic. These types of articles are a great way to involve the experts and they provide ongoing exposure for your presenters.

    You can create a simple custom tweet for attendees.

    #8: Add a Twitter Widget to Your Event Page

    If people are talking about your event on Twitter, why not take advantage of that social proof to encourage new site visitors to attend ?

    Twitter has a cool widget that scrolls all the tweets for you.

    The great thing is you can include OR exclude Twitter search terms using Boolean logic.

    Tip: Encourage attendees to visit your Facebook Event Page and see who else is attending.

    #10: Utilize Facebook’s FBX Ad Targeting

    Facebook allows advertisers to remarket to people who have visited specific non-Facebook Pages using Facebook Exchange, also known as FBX ad targeting .

    This means you can show event ads to Facebook users who visited your Event Page but did not purchase. This can be a very economical way to retarget possible prospects.

    An FBX ad shows up like other Facebook ads in the sidebar of the news feed.

    Welcome to the home page for the Camp 18 Restaurant, located in Elsie, Oregon. Camp 18 could easily be your most popular stop on your way to and from the Oregon Coast via State Highway 26 between Portland and Seaside / Cannon Beach. Camp 18 is the result of enormous efforts by Gordon Smith and the late Maurie Clark, both near-legendary figures in the northwest logging scene.

    Camp 18 is a log cabin-type structure built by Gordon Smith and friends. Its architecture is authentic in materials and construction techniques and features, for example, an 85-foot ridgepole that’s the largest such piece in the United States and weighs approximately 25 tons. There’s plenty of RV-size parking in the lot.

    Although it lacks a few small details, the almost-fully-rigged 161-foot spar tree is a signature piece on the Camp 18 equipment roster.

    Expect to see lots of cool wood carvings throughout the Camp 18 facilities. The eye-catching marvel is a definite place to stop while driving Highway 26 in the Pacific Northwest. If you are visiting local communities like Seaside, Astoria, Cannon Beach, Nehalem, Wheeler or Portland, it’s a short and beautiful drive to Elsie!

    The stunning main building and its eye-catching array of logging-related historic artifacts and artwork are hard to miss as you travel the Sunset Highway (26). It’s always worth your time to stop by, enjoy a good meal, browse the displays and learn more about our northwest logging heritage.

    The Camp 18 log-cabin style restaurant has an interesting history you can read about. A beautiful Event Conference room is also available for rental!

    How do I: Monitor a service and automatically restart it if it stops (SCOM 2012)

    1. Go to Authoring Management Pack Objects Monitors

    2. Right Click Monitors Create Monitor Unit Monitor

    3. As always do no save anything to the Default Management Pack, if you have a custom management pack where you want to save the monitor if now click New

    4. Name your Management Pack Next

    6. Windows Services Basic Service Monitor Next

    7. a. Name your Monitor (I recommend the naming convention: unique prefix which should be a part of every custom rule/monitor/group-Servername-ServiceName)

    b. Select a Monitor Target (Monitor Target Scope must apply to the server that contains the service you want to monitor. If you target Server 2003 and the Server that contains the service you want to monitor is Server 2008 you monitor won t work)

    c. Uncheck Monitor is enabled (You do not want to leave the this checked. If you do SCOM will try to monitor for this service on all Servers based on the monitor target even if they don t contain the service you are trying to monitor. You will narrow the scope further and enable the monitor via an override once you are finished building it.)

    8. If you know the name the of the Service you can just type it in, but I recommend clicking the selection button to point the monitor to the exact name of the service you want to monitor to avoid troubleshooting later on.

    9. By default it will pull the available services from the management server you are running the console to see services from a different server click the button and browse to your desired server.

    10. For this example I am selecting the WMI Winmgmt service

    12. Generate alerts for this monitor Automatically resolve the alert when the monitor returns to a healthy state Create

    13. Find your newly created monitor by searching for your custom prefix: ops-

    14. Right click your new monitor Overrides Overide the Monitor For a specific object of class: Windows Server 2008 R2 Full Operating System

    15. Select the specific server that you want to monitor:

    16. Enabled Override Value True (This will activate this service monitor for the associated server) Apply Show Monitor Properties

    17. Configure recovery tasks Add

    18. Add Recovery for critical health state

    21. Name Recovery Run recovery automatically Recalculate monitor state after recovery finished

    22. Enter the following items Parameter will vary based on the name of the service you are trying to recover automatically.

    23. Once your Override and recovery are in place schedule a time when it is ok to stop the service you are trying to monitor/recover so that you can observe the behavior to insure you made no errors as well as to see if you want to tweak the timeout.

Samantha Hardingham is an architectural writer, editor and curator. Her most recent and celebrated work is the award-winning, two-volume anthology Cedric Price Works 1952-2003: A Forward-minded Retrospective published by the AA/CCA in October 2016. Samantha has a wide-ranging knowledge and understanding of the AA having been a design studio tutor across all undergraduate years at the AA since 2008, as well as chair of the AA’s Undergraduate Management Committee since 2015 and member of the Senior Management Team.     A message box may appear titled WFCRUN32 ERROR , with the message being Failed to set Event Logging. as per the following screenshot:

    it s related to the LogFileWin32 setting in the APPSRV.INI that points to the location of the log file.

    LogFileWin32=C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Application Data\ICAClient\wfcwin32.log

    The APPSRV.INI is found in the user s %APPDATA%\ICAClient folder.

    The wfcrun32.exe process is unable to create the wfcwin32.log because either the location is invalid, or the user does not have write permissions to that folder.

    Either update the file or delete the folder and it will recreate what it needs.

    Event Log Message Files (The description for Event ID cannot be found)

    Anybody who has used the built-in event viewer that comes with Windows more than once, has probably seen the message The description for Event ID ( 50 ) in Source ( SomeService ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. when viewing certain events. This message occurs more often when viewing events on a remote event log, but it appears often enough on the local machine as well.

    I will explain this dubious error message here, but before I do I will explain how messages are in fact logged to the event log. After reading this you should have a much clearer picture about how applications log to the event log and how you go about troubleshooting this error .

    The framework that Microsoft created for the event log, back in the NT 3.51 days, was actually quite sophisticated in many ways especially when compared with the more simplistic Syslog capabilities (though Syslog still has some unique features).

    A key feature of event logging in Windows is the fact that an application, at least when using the event log framework in the way it was intended to be used, will never actually directly write the actual message to the event log instead it will log only the event source and event id, along with some properties such as category and insertion strings. The framework also supports multiple languages, so if you open an event on a French Windows, then the event will display in French (of course assuming that the message file from the vendor supports that) instead of English.

    Let s look at an example using EventSentry to understand this better. When EventSentry detects a service status change, it will log the event 11000 to the event log that reads something like this:

    The service Print Spooler (Spooler) changed its status from RUNNING to STOPPED.

    When EventSentry logs this event to the event log, you would expect that the application does (in a simplified manner) something like this:

    LogToEventLog( EventSentry ,
    101000, The service Print Spooler (Spooler) changed its status from RUNNING to

    However, this is NOT the case. The application logging to the event log never actually logs the message to the event log, instead the application would log something similar to this:

    LogToEventLog( EventSentry ,
    101000, RUNNING , STOPPED );

    (Note that the above example is for illustration purposes only, the actual code is somewhat more complicated)

    So, our actual string from the event message is nowhere to be found, and that s because the string is embedded in what is referred to as the Event Message File . The event message file contains a list of all events that an application could potentially log to the event log. Here is what an event message file looks like before it is compiled:

    Notice the numbers contained in the string that start with the percentage sign. These are placeholders for so-called insertion strings. and they make it possible to make the event log message dynamic, since an application developer can t possible account for all imaginable error message or information that might be accumulated during the runtime of the application. For example, an application might log the name of a file that is being monitored to the event log, clearly this can t be embedded into the event message file.

    Instead, the application can insert strings (hence, insertion strings) into the event message during run time. Those strings are then stored in the actual event log, along with all the other static properties of event, such as the event id and the event source.

    Event message files are usually DLL files, but event resources can also be embedded in executables as is the case in EventSentry. where all events are contained in the eventsentry_svc.exe file. This is generally a good idea, since it reduces the number of files that have to be shipped with the software and it also prevents you from losing the message DLL.

    You can browse through all embedded events in a message file by using the event message browser that is included in the free EventSentry SysAdmin Tools which you can download here. Simply launch the application, select an event log (e.g. Application), select an event source (e.g. EventSentry), and browse through all the registered event messages, sorted by the ID.

    So now that we know how Windows handles event messages internally, we can go back to the original problem: The description for Event ID ( 50 ) in Source ( SomeService ) cannot be found. . The Windows Event Viewer logs this message for one of the following reasons:

    * No message file is registered for the source (e.g. SomeService)
    * The registered message file does not exist or cannot be accessed
    * The specified event id is not included in the message file

    If the message file is not registered, then this is probably because the application wasn t installed correctly, or because it has already been uninstalled by the time you are trying to view the event message. For example, if the event message was logged before the application was uninstalled, but you are viewing the event after the application was uninstalled, then you will see this message.

    If the event you are trying to view is important, then you can try to fix the problem yourself by either fixing the registry entry or locating the missing event message file.

    The registry location depends on only two factors: The event log [EVENTLOG] the event was logged to as well as the event source [EVENTSOURCE].

    (Replace [EVENTLOG] and [EVENTSOURCE] with the respective values, and view/add/edit the value EventMessageFile. This is the value that points to the message file)

    If this value doesn t exist, then you can add it as either a REG_SZ or a REG_EXPAND_SZ value. You can specify multiple message files with a semicolon.

    If the message file specified in the value doesn t exist, then you can simply copy it into the appropriate location assuming you can get a hold of it that is :-). Oracle is notorious for not including the message file, in particular with the Express Edition.

    A final note on message files for those of you haven t had enough yet: You can use message files not only to translate event messages, but also for categories, GUIDs and more. Some of the values you might find (mostly in the security event log) are CategoryMessageFile, GuidMessageFile and ParameterMessageFile.

    Well, this article turned out a lot longer than I had anticipated, but hopefully you will have a better understanding as to why this message is logged and what you can do about it.

    on my system (XP) this works only if the MessageFile is under
    %SystemRoot%\SYSTEM32. Didn t find that documented anywhere.

    You probably know Event Viewer, a baked in Windows tool. For sophisticated event log analysis, you often need additional tools. Some of the tools discussed here are applications, and some are websites.

    EventID.NET ^

    I have a paid subscription for EventID.NET. and use this database for event ID searches. The site is a repository of almost all Windows event IDs and offers in-depth write ups, screenshots, and links to external sources. A one year subscription for an individual costs $29 USD. -Search for event IDs ^

    The consistently useful website has served me well since its inception. It is a crowd-sourced community of experts based on a Digg type voting system, in which a poster asks questions based on issues they are confronted with, usually scenario based, with Event IDs. – Question and answer site for admins ^ is another community site which is not limited to any platform or architecture. It has a similar voting system as and issues awards based on the helpfulness of the “experts”.

    Notice that is not free. After the 30-day free trial, prices vary from $12.95 USD for the monthly plan to the the two year plan for $189.95 USD. – Tech support from experts

    ManagEngine EventLog Analyzer ^

    I have used many of ManageEngines free tools, and EventLog Analyzer is my favorite. The tool works with Unix/Linux/Windows and can be configured to give real time alerts and offers sophisticated reporting features. The holy grail of all IT logging is the centralized logging ability. EventLog Analyzer can also collect logs from devices such as routers, web services and FTP servers. The free version supports up to 5 hosts. The Professional Edition starts at $395 USD for 10 hosts.     GFI EventsManager ^

    GFI EventsManager provides similar features as the ManageEngine product offering real time alerts and support for SNMPv2 traps. I like the auto archive feature and its search filters. GFI doesn’t offer a free edition but you can download a free trial. For a Server and 10 clients, GFI EventsManager costs $440 USD.

    EventSentry offers quite a few interesting features that go far beyond event log monitoring and analysis: Compliance tracking, package managing, compliance tracking, log file monitoring, system health monitoring, and web reports. EventSentry Light is its free version and is a must-have tool for every admin doing event log analysis.
