Find Water Leaks with Thermal Imaging, Acoustics and Tracer Gas #water

Leak Detecting Services

How to Find a Water Leak

Our highly trained engineers at L.D.S. Leak Detection Specialists Ltd. will choose the approriate testing and inspection process specifically chosen to suit your home or commercial business to find the leak.

Our engineers at L.D.S. carry all the latest technology in leakage detection. We have listed the main Leak detection methods and equipment below. Inspection cameras. Protimeter mms damp meter survey kits, pressure gauges both hydraulic and digital and salts diagnostic kits also form part of the L.D.S. engineers equipment.

Leak Detection Methods to Find A Leak

Acoustics
Acoustic profiling uses ground and pipe sensitive microphones to enhance the sound of the leak. This method can help in pinpointing precise leak location.

Correlation
Is a way of finding and pinpointing leaks in water pipes. A leak in a pipe under pressure creates noise that travels through the pipe walls, the surrounding ground and along the contents of the pipe. Correlators are a very accurate sound testing device which are used to identify the acoustic frequency caused when a pipe is leaking. The correlator uses two identical sensors located along the pipe to calculate the leek location by logging the signal delay, sensor distance and the sound velocity.

Tracer Gas
The trace gas, a safe mixture of hydrogen and nitrogen, is introduced into the pipe with the suspected leak. The gas, is the lightest in the atmosphere and is made up of of small molecules. The gas will exit at the leak and make its way to the surface where it is detected using gas sensitive detection pobes.

Thermal Imaging
Thermography is the use of an infrared imaging and measurement camera to see and measure thermal energy emitted from an object. Thermography cameras can identify problem areas that can’t be seen with the naked eye, detecting hidden water leaks. The infrared inspection camera can detect not only hidden water leaks and their origin, but also moisture that cannot be physically reached with moisture meters. Read more

Pipe, Cable and Metal Detection and Tracing
Often the exact position of pipes and cables is unknown due to innacurate or non existant network plans. In order to carry out precise water leak detection and to avoid damage to utilities and operators during excavations, it is essential to know the precise position of all services. We use high performance equipment which can locate and trace buried pipes and cables.

Network Monitoring with Noise Loggers
Noise Loggers are used for early detection of leaks in water supply networks. The longer it takes to identify that a network is leaking the more revenue is lost and the greater the loss of precious water resources. In addition to the more conventional methods of leak detection the installation of permanent noise loggers has proved to be a cost effective tool in early identification of water loss. By permanently monitoring sections of the system, which have previously been proven leak free, it will alert you when a potential leak does develop. Read more .

Welcome to Open Campus! #mcse, #mct, #mcp, #microsoft #certified, #systems #engineer,

Our Mission.

The mission of RCCD Distance Education (formerly Open Campus) is to extend access to learning through distance education. Objectives: To facilitate learning at a distance, Distance Education provides:

  • Educational technology to the colleges, faculty, and students to support the delivery of online-based courses and services
  • Professional development and training for faculty
  • Expertise and experience
  • Blackboard management, production and problem solving.

As of April 21, the Open Campus department has changed its name to Distance Education. We thank you for your patience as we work to complete the changes to website by the middle of summer.

What Are Online Based or Distance Education classes?

Online-based courses, also called Distance Education classes, may take two different forms:

Online classes are taken exclusively over the Internet. Please note that, while some online courses provide all instructional content over the Internet, others may require some on-campus meetings. Please see the course schedule or WebAdvisor for more information.

Hybrid classes meet both on campus and online. Think of them as a combination or blending of online classes and face-to-face classes.

In a hybrid class, you will attend meetings on campus during the dates and times listed in the schedule of classes. Since the on-campus portion of hybrid classes could take place at any of our three colleges (Riverside City, Norco or Moreno Valley), hybrid classes are listed in the schedule by the college where the on-campus meetings will take place.

Are there Face-to-Face classes that use the Internet?

Web-Enhanced classes are traditional face-to-face classes that are supplemented with course websites and the use of Internet resources. Unlike hybrid or fully-online classes, all web-enhanced class meetings take place on campus.

Where Do I Start?

New Hampshire Car Insurance – Quotes, Coverage – Requirements #new #hampshire

#

  • Get free quotes from the nation’s biggest auto insurance providers.
  • Over 94% of Americans qualify for lower rates.

Our goal is to give you the most up-to-date, accurate information about your state DMV’s processes. The date you see here reflects the most recent time we’ve verified this information with your state DMV. When they change something, we do, too!

Car Insurance in New Hampshire

New Hampshire Car Insurance

New Hampshire is among a small handful of states that has no mandatory car insurance laws.

State law, however, does require you to pay for costs of bodily injury or property damage resulting from a car accident you caused. The best way to meet this requirement is by purchasing New Hampshire car insurance.

New Hampshire Car Insurance Requirements

Although auto insurance is not mandatory in New Hampshire, most drivers opt to purchase it anyway. New Hampshire’s uninsured driver rate is, in fact, lower than the national average.

If you do decide to carry car insurance in New Hampshire, your policy must include:

  • Liability coverage.
  • Medical payments coverage.
  • Uninsured motorist coverage.

Liability Insurance

Your New Hampshire car insurance policy must include liability coverage, which will help you pay for costs associated with bodily injury or property damageto others resulting from an accident you caused.

Your liability insurance must meet the following minimums.

  • $25,000 for bodily injury. per person .
  • $50,000 for bodily injury, if multiple people are injured in an accident.
  • $25,000 for property damage .

Medical Payments

Your policy must also include medical payment coverage to help pay for your own medical costs in case of a car accident.

You must have at least $1,000 in medical payments coverage.

Uninsured Motorist

Although New Hampshire has a relatively low rate of uninsured drivers, your insurance policy must include uninsured motorist coverage to help cover your injuries and damage to your property that may result from being in an accident with an uninsured driver (or a driver whose insurance is not sufficient to cover your costs).

Your uninsured motorist coverage must match your liability coverage amounts. See above for the minimum requirements.

Optional Coverage

If you do decide to purchase car insurance in New Hampshire, there are some types of coverages that are not legally required but will offer you more protection and peace of mind.

You can typically choose from the following optional coverage types:

  • Collision – Helps pay for damages to your car resulting from a car accident.
  • Comprehensive – Provides coverage for damages to your car resulting from non-accident-related events, such as fire, theft, or vandalism.
  • Towing and labor .
  • Rentalreimbursement.

NOTE : Collision and comprehensive coverages may be required as part of your loan or lease agreement.

Mandatory Insurance Filing (SR-22)

There are some instances where you will be required to have car insurance in New Hampshire.

Insurance filing requirements generally apply to drivers who have been involved in car accidents or have been convicted of serious traffic violations (e.g. DWI).

If you are required to purchase insurance, you will need to file an SR-22 with the DMV through your insurance company.

An SR-22 serves as a guarantee that you will hold New Hampshire car insurance for a set amount of time (typically 3 years).

Your NH driving record will indicate whether or not you need to provide your proof of insurance to the DMV.

If you do not comply with your car insurance filing requirement, you face:

  • Suspension and revocation of your driver’s license.
  • Suspension of your registration privileges.

Financial Responsibility

While New Hampshire does not have a mandatory insurance law, the state does require you to pay for costs of bodily injury or property damage resulting from a car accident you caused. Your driver’s license will be suspended until you can show that you can meet the costs of the offending accident.

If you have car insurance that meets New Hampshire’s standards, you would already be meeting the state’s financial responsibility laws, and the above suspension would not apply to you.

For more information about how you can meet New Hampshire’s financial responsibility laws, contact the DMV at (603) 227-4010.

New Hampshire Automobile Insurance Plan

Car insurance companies have the right to turn down coverage to drivers they consider to present an unreasonably high risk, based on driving history.

As a way to help ensure that all eligible drivers have access to car insurance, New Hampshire laws have mandated the formation of the New Hampshire Automobile Insurance Plan.

Under this plan, insurance companies in the state equally share the risks of covering high-risk drivers among each other.

You can apply for the plan through any New Hampshire car insurance company that participates in it. You’ll need to certify on an application form that you’ve tried and failed to obtain auto insurance on the open market after applying through the plan.

Other Car Insurance Issues

Because insurance can be very complicated, the New Hampshire Insurance Department (NHID) has programs to help consumers.

Through the insurance department, you can file complaints against insurance companies and also report suspected insurance fraud.

Consumer Complaints

If you have a dispute with your car insurance company that you are unable to resolve, you may file a complaint with the NHID. The department is primarily responsible for enforcing the state’s insurance rules and laws.

Additionally, you can print out a Consumer Complaint form and submit it:

Insurance Fraud

Insurance companies lose a large amount of money annually due to insurance fraud. Those losses get passed down to you through increases in premium rates.

Car insurance fraud often involves:

  • Staging car accidents.
  • Exaggerating or falsifying injuries.
  • Exaggerating or falsifying property damage.

If you suspect insurance fraud, you can report it to the NHID fraud unit at (800)-852-3416.

Determining Your NH Car Insurance Rates

Several factors go into determining your car insurance rates in New Hampshire.

When getting car insurance quotes, consider that the following will factor into your premium:

  • Driving record.
  • Age.
  • Gender.
  • Credit history.
  • Deductibles (your out-of-pocket costs towards a claim).
    • The higher your deductibles, the lower your premium.

Car Insurance Discounts

A great way to save on car insurance in New Hampshire is by taking advantage of the various discounts offered by insurance companies.

When comparing auto insurance rates, inquire about the following discounts:

  • Good driver.
  • Safety device.
  • Security device.
  • Good student.
  • Senior citizen.

While discounts are a good start towards getting low-cost car insurance, the best way to save on car insurance is by following all traffic laws to avoid accidents and maintain a violation-free driving record.

Most Stolen Cars in New Hampshire

If you own a car that is highly targeted for theft, you may have to pay higher than normal car insurance rates.

The following is a list of the most stolen cars in New Hampshire for 2013, according to www.nicb.org :

  1. Ford Pickup (Full Size).
  2. Honda Civic.
  3. Chevrolet Pickup (Full Size).
  4. Jeep Cherokee/Grand Cherokee.
  5. Honda Accord.
  6. Dodge Caravan.
  7. Ford Focus.
  8. GMC Pickup (Full Size).
  9. Toyota Corolla.
  10. Dodge Pickup (Full Size).

Watch: Full-size Silverstone racetrack recreated on frozen Arctic lake

Polar explorer Ben Saunders has driven a lap around the world famous Silverstone race circuit.

Instead, the inch-perfect replica of one of the home of the British Grand Prix was carved into the ice of a frozen lake in the Arctic, where nighttime temperatures can drop to minus 42 degrees Celsius.

Saunders, the youngest explorer to reach the North Pole alone and on foot, took to the wheel of a British-built Range Rover Sport SVR at Lake Udjaur in Swedish Lapland to navigate the iconic Surrey track with the help of Finland rally champion Minna Sillankorva.

Amazingly, there are two exact replicas of Silverstone race track at the centre, as well as replicas of Germany’s fearsome Nurburgring and Le Castellet circuit in France. The tracks are painstakingly carved into the ice each winter for ice driving holidays and testing in extreme conditions.

Saunders says: “Obviously, I had an amazing day. It was my first time driving on ice and the most fun I’ve had on four-wheels. The performance of the Range Rover Sport SVR is simply breathtaking and its poise in the corners was astounding given the slippery conditions.”
