Nissan Quest Blower Motor, 2016, 2015, 2014, 2013, 2012 #blower #motor

Nissan Quest Blower Motor

Troubleshooting Nissan Quest Blower Motor Problems

The Nissan Quest blower motor is a combined unit that is composed of a motor and a fan that looks like a hamster wheel. Its function is to draw air from the outside through the heating and cooling elements, and force hot or cold air through the ducting and interior vents. If you notice that the air circulation is weak or the vents work on one speed, there may a problem with your blower motor. You don’t need to call the mechanic yet. These simple troubleshooting tips will help you determine and maybe fix the blower motor on your Nissan Quest.

The blower motor only works on one speed, usually high

The problem isn’t the fan or the motor, but the resistor. The blower motor resistor controls the speed of the fan (low, high, and mid-range). If the resistor is faulty, the motor bypass the resistor and directly sends power to the blower. As a result, the resistor cannot control the blower speed and you will not be able control it with the A/C switch. Changing the resistor will correct this problem. Refer to the owner’s manual to locate the blower motor resistor. Change the resistor and test the blower motor.

Reduced air movement in all speed settings

Again, the resistor can be blamed for this problem. Since it controls the speed of the blower motor, a faulty blower motor resistor may reduce the amount of airflow at different speed settings. This problem can be solved by replacing the resistor.

The blower motor still doesn’t work correctly even if everything has been replaced

An average DIY mechanic often go for the obvious-and change the resistor or the fuse or replace the entire motor component-if there’s a problem with the blower motor. But if the initial repairs fail, he has nowhere to go. Remember that the system has a ground that is important to complete the circuit. If there’s power at all ranges, but there’s no response from the motor, check the ground. After a while, ground connection can become loose or corroded, resulting in motor malfunction.

Industrial fan performance tables are based on standard air. Selecting a fan using standard tables will provide a fan capable of moving the required flow and developing the required pressure. As the temperature increases and humidity decreases, system resistance and the pressure developed by the fan will decrease at the same rate, and a constant flow rate is maintained. Altitude reduces the air pressure and density along with the amount of moisture the air can carry. The density and moisture values in table 1 must be divided by the correction factors in table 4 to determine the actual density and mois-ture content per cubic foot. Canadian Blower offers a complete line of centrifugal fan equipment, from small Baby Vent Sets capable of moving a few cubic feet per minute (CFM), to large, heavy-duty industrial mechanical draft fans with capacities to 1,000,000 CFM and with static pressures from 0″ Water Gauge (WG) to 150″ WG.

Motor Vehicle Accident Attorneys – Dayton Ohio #motor #vehicle #accident #lawyer

Motor Vehicle Accidents

Car Accidents

Although cars continue to get safer and law enforcement steps up enforcement of drunk driving, traffic accidents still happen every day. In 2011 there were more than 290,000 car accidents in Ohio, resulting in 1,015 fatalities. When a car or truck accident is the result of another s negligence, the injured party may be entitled to compensation. It is important to seek out experienced legal representation to learn about your rights and options after you were injured in a car, truck, motorcycle, or other motor vehicle accident.

The focus of our legal practice is personal injury and we only represent injured parties. As a result, our lawyers have built an extensive knowledge base that allows us to evaluate your accident case quickly and start the legal process. Our goal is always to get you the maximum compensation for your injuries. We have a record of accomplishments that include numerous multimillion-dollar settlements and verdicts in auto accident cases.

Motorcycle Accidents

Whether cut off in traffic or even struck by a drunk driver, sadly, the number of motorcycling accidents in Ohio. Indiana. and Kentucky has been on the rise since 2006. During 2012, 162 motorcyclists were killed on Ohio roads.

In motorcycle accidents, the driver of the passenger car is frequently at fault. No matter who is at fault, bikers usually pay for an accident through loss of life or limb. Victims or families of victims are well within their rights to fight for what they are owed. An experienced Ohio motorcycle crash attorney will ensure that you and your family are fully compensated.

Other Motor Vehicle Accidents

We handle all types of motor vehicle accidents, including:

  • car accidents
  • truck accidents
  • motorcycle accidents
  • drunk driving accidents
  • bus accidents
  • construction zone accidents
  • plane accidents
  • train accidents
  • pedestrian accidents
  • bicycle accidents
  • defective highways
  • passenger injuries
  • Snowplows
  • Salt trucks
  • Delivery trucks, vans and other commercial vehicles
  • Construction equipment

Who Can You Recover From?

You may be entitled to compensation from the driver. You may also be entitled to compensation from the owner of the vehicle if he or she was a passenger or if he or she knew that the driver would act recklessly. Finally, you may be able to recover from the driver’s employer, if the driver was acting as an employee.

Act Quickly After an Accident

It is important to act quickly after you were injured in any type of motor vehicle accident. Ohio law specifies that a car accident victim must file a lawsuit within two years, whether you are concerned with recovering compensation for personal injury or property damage (such as damage to a victim s automobile). Ohio law prohibits any suit filed after the expiration of the statute of limitations. In most cases, it will be necessary to investigate the facts of the case to identify the liable party and determine the cause of the accident. Accident reconstruction investigators often need to be hired before important evidence is lost or destroyed.

If you have been injured in a motor vehicle accident it is very important that you record everything that occurs as a result of the accident doctor visits, pain, lost work, questions from the insurance company and the other events that may have a bearing on the claim. The sooner you call our experienced attorneys, the sooner we can begin working with you to build a strong case. We can worry about the legal process and you can focus on getting better. To schedule a consultation with one of our experienced motor vehicle accident attorneys, please contact us online or call our office at 937-223-8888.

Denver DUI Attorney #denver, #dui, #defense, #attorney, #lawyer, #driving #under #the

A DUI conviction in Denver Colorado can affect some professionals more than others. These are professions that require a special license or certification that can be in jeopardy if you are convicted of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs such as:

Denver DUI
Attorney Reviews

Throughout the entire case, Mr. Churchill was highly professional and compassionate. The case was a very difficult one from a legal standpoint and through his knowledge of the law he was able to get an unexpectedly excellent result.
– KC

I was very impressed with how Mr. Churchill handled my case. He obviously cared about getting a good result for me. When I heard him talk about my case, I got confident that he would get a good result, but never expected the case would get completely dismissed.
– AW

Denver DUI Attorney

The defense of a Denver DUI requires experience in a very specialized field. In addition to being well versed in evidentiary law. criminal law. and constitutional law. a good DUI attorney in Denver must understand the science behind your blood alcohol test. and have the experience to understand how the Denver police make DUI arrests. With 14 years of experience, Kevin Churchill has represented hundreds of clients in Colorado that have been charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Experience in the field allows Mr. Churchill to uncover the weaknesses in the evidence against you. Every case is different, but the goal is always the same.

To minimize the impact a DUI arrest has on your life by reducing the charges against you or having the charges dropped altogether.

Kevin Churchill provides aggressive defense to all DUI charges in Denver and the surrounding Colorado counties. He is dedicated to protecting those accused of drunk driving in Colorado from unnecessary convictions and criminal penalties. Our clients do not plead guilty when a better outcome can be obtained. DUI and DWAI convictions can have life-changing consequences beyond the criminal court penalties involved. Those charged with DUI in Denver are typically everyday people such as commercial truck drivers or anyone else that must drive in order to make a living and support their family.

Colorado DUI laws have recently changed to include more severe penalties for those convicted of driving under the influence. It is more important than ever to have an expert DUI attorney when you have been charged with a drunk driving offense. Any offense that occurred after July 1, 2010 has increased mandatory minimum jail sentences attached, as well as the possible revocation of your driver’s license. Mr. Churchill has represented those charged with DUI or DWAI in hundreds of cases. He handles cases throughout the Front Range and eastern Colorado. Please call our office immediately if you are facing charges, and by all means, do not plead guilty until an experienced attorney has thoroughly reviewed all aspects of your case.

The consequences for a DUI conviction can include both lengthy jail sentences as well as the loss of your privilege to drive. Even first offenses carry a 9 month revocation of your driver’s license — and mandatory jail if your blood alcohol content is very high. Our first objective is to help you avoid a conviction altogether, and if that cannot be done, then to help you avoid unreasonably harsh penalties in Denver courts and at the Colorado DMV .

The Cost of a DUI in Denver, Colorado
There are hefty court costs, fines, probation costs, alcohol treatment costs, increased insurance premiums, lost job opportunities, and so on. The fee that you will pay to have expert legal representation can be small by comparison. Drunk driving is a criminal offense, but with the added complexity of having scientific evidence that is unique to these types of cases. This is why it is best to hire a lawyer that specializes in DUI defense cases. Many people incorrectly assume that there is no chance to beat the case against them. It requires someone well-versed in this specialized field of law to help you determine if a conviction can be avoided in your particular case. Rarely are those breaks in the prosecutor’s case apparent to someone who does not regularly practice law in this field. When a conviction cannot be avoided, it will help a great deal to have an attorney work to minimize the penalties that you will face in court – especially on second or subsequent offenses.

The defense of your case will involve many layers of analysis, beginning with the constitutionality, or legality, of your traffic stop (or contact from the police for whatever reason). If the police did not have reasonable suspicion or probable cause to stop you to begin with, then all of the evidence against you must be thrown out. If the evidence is legally admissible against you – then the analysis turns to the reliability and credibility of the evidence itself. With field sobriety tests being given incorrectly, breath machines committing testing errors, police failing to follow procedures, and evidence being improperly collected – many of those charged with DUI simply accept a conviction when there are DUI defense arguments .

Your guilt or innocence under Colorado DUI law rests on evidence that must be closely examined before you plead guilty to any drug or alcohol driving offense. The penalties for a DUI conviction are too great to ignore the possibility that the evidence against you is wrong. Experienced drunk driving defense involves never accepting the evidence on its face. We will scrutinize the evidence that other lawyers may assume can’t be defeated, because we understand that DUI evidence is much more complicated than meets the eye. Please give our office a call. Mr. Churchill will directly answer any questions you may have regarding your case, and give you advice about what you should do to protect your criminal record and your driver’s license.

We offer some advice about what to do when you have been pulled over on our page entitled DUI Arrest Advice. However, most people come to our website after they have already been arrested, and are now looking for advice on what steps to take to protect themselves:

The Steps You Should Take After You Have Been Arrested:

  1. Do not make any statements to the police. In fact, it is better to hand them your driver’s license and other identification than it is to speak when they ask who you are. Certainly, the officer is going to note in his report that you had slurred speech – even in cases where you did not.
  2. Request a Colorado DMV hearing within seven days of taking a breath test or within seven days of refusing to take the test. In blood test cases, request a DMV hearing as soon as you are notified by the DMV of a pending license revocation. Always ask for the officer to be present.
  3. Retain an experienced Denver DUI lawyer to evaluate your case before the first court date, or the DMV hearing date. The sooner you hire a lawyer, the better, since it may take some time to answer the necessary questions of your particular case.
  4. Do not plead guilty, or assume that you are guilty. Contrary to what most people think, there are DUI defense arguments that can be used in most cases. DUI and DUID cases involve very complex evidence that must be collected by the police in a lawful manner, as well as a scientifically valid manner. Experienced representation is the only way to discover if the police, and the prosecution, have what they need to convict you.

Kevin Churchill has 14 years of experience providing DUI and DMV hearing defense representation in all Denver metro area courts. Kevin Churchill offers experienced defense for all DUI related charges, as well as all criminal charges related to the DUI case, including felony drug possession, domestic violence, and assault.

Florida Motorcycle License #motorycycle, #helmet, #driver #improvement, #learners #permit, #defensive #driving,

Florida DMV Online Guide

Florida Motorcycle License

Starting on July 1, 2008 the State of Florida requires that new Motorcyclists (regardless of age) must take and pass the Basic Rider Course through the Florida Rider Training Program before they get a motorcycle only license or can have the Motorcycle Endorsement added to their drivers license.

When you have successfully completed the Basic Rider Course the sponsor will submit the results to the DMV electronically.

There are two types of motorcycle drivers licenses in Florida. You must have one of the following if you are going to operate a two or three wheel motorcycle that has an engine over 50 cc.

Motorcycle Endorsement

If you already have a Florida drivers license then you can get a motorcycle endorsement on the drivers license you hold. To obtain your motorcycle endorsement you must show proof that you have completed the Florida Rider Program.

Motorcycle Only License

To get a Motorcycle Only license you must be at least 16 years old and have held a learners permit for at least a year with no traffic convictions. If you are over 18 you are not required to have held a learners permit. You must pass the standard class E operators license test that all drivers take to get a drivers license and complete the Basic Riders Course.

Three Wheel Motorcycles

To operate a three wheel motorcycle you must complete the S/TEP – Sidecar / Trike Evaluation Program. This course provides basic skills for those operating three wheel motorcycles and and side car rigs.

Those who pass the Motorycycle S/TEP course will have an “S” restriction on their license. The S Restriction indicates that the person only has permission to operate a three wheeled motorcycle.

Temporary Instruction Permit To Operate a Motorcycle

As of July 1, 2008 there will be NO temporary permits issued by the State of Florida.

Florida Helmet Laws

If you are 21 years old and covered by an insurance policy with at least $10,000 in medical benefits you can get a Helmet exemption. Note that law enforcement may stop you if you are not wearing a helmet and they believe you are under 21.

New to Maryland Titling and Registering Your Vehicle Information #mva, #motor

As a new resident of Maryland you must register your vehicle within 60 days of moving to Maryland. If you delay beyond 60 days, you will not be eligible for a tax credit for any titling tax paid in another state, and you may be subject to a citation for an out of state registration.

Please Note: If an owner of a vehicle originally titled in Maryland obtains a title for the vehicle in another state in the same name, and returns to Maryland, it may be registered by surrendering the foreign title and securing a Duplicate Maryland Title. There is a fee for a duplicate title.

Titling Your Vehicle

You can apply for a Maryland title, and registration, in person at any of the MVA’s full service branch offices. You also can mail the documents to the MVA’s Out-of-State Title Unit, 6601 Ritchie Highway, Glen Burnie, MD 21062, or go to an MVA licensed tag and title service where they will assist you in applying.

Typically, you will need to submit the following forms to obtain a title for your vehicle:

  • Proof of ownership – This is the vehicle’s existing title that identifies you as the owner. If there is a lien against your out-of-state title:
    • First, contact the MVA at the Customer Service Center at 1-410-768-7000.
    • If you do not have the title document or certificate, the MVA will provide you with a letter (form #VR-056) to send to your lien holder requesting the title(s) be sent to the MVA. Note: Please have the following information for the letter: Name of vehicle owner, MD address, phone number, VIN number, year, make of vehicle, lien holder’s name, lien holder’s address, lien holder’s fax number, state where currently registered/titled and lien account number.
    • Upon receipt of the title documents(s), the MVA will write or call you to inform you that we have received the title(s). We will inform you of the excise tax due and ask you to send your completed Application for Certificate of Title (form #VR-005), the MD Safety Inspection Certificate, and payment (check or money order made payable to the MVA) to the MVA. The check should include payment for the following:
      • Title fee
      • Fee to record the lien
      • Excise tax and tag fees
  • Application form – The Application for Certificate of Title (form #VR-005) can be used to apply for both the vehicle’s title and registration. Be sure to include your insurance information. Your policy must conform to Maryland’s minimum liability insurance requirements .
  • Maryland Safety Inspection Certificate – This Maryland State Police form certifies that your vehicle meets Maryland safety standards. It is valid for up to 90 days from the date issued.
    • Certificate of Inspection
A Safety Inspection is required for all used cars, trucks, tractors, trailers, motorcycles, special equipment, and class “B” for hire vehicles being titled and registered in Maryland. They must be inspected by a licensed Maryland inspection station, such as automobile dealers, service stations and specialized automobile service centers. A certificate of inspection issued by the inspection station within the previous 90 days of the vehicle titling must accompany the Application for Title. To avoid delay, compare the vehicle identification number (VIN) entered on the inspection certificate with the VIN on the vehicle plus the vehicle ownership documents to make certain they agree. Altered inspection certificates will not be accepted.

Under certain circumstances, additional information and/or forms may be required:

  • Proof of vehicle’s value – If the vehicle’s value cannot be identified by the MVA, you may need to submit a bill of sale. For leased vehicles, a lease agreement may also be acceptable.
  • Lease agreement and proof of monthly lease payments (leased vehicles only) – If you have paid or are paying excise tax to another state through your lease payments, the documents may be needed to determine the amount of excise tax credit you may receive.
  • Lien information – If you borrowed money to buy the vehicle, lien information may need to be recorded on the application. The MVA form entitled Security Interest Filing (form #VR-217) must be used if a second lien is placed against the title.
  • Lien release – If your title indicates that a lien exists, you must make arrangements with the lien holder to pay off the loan (lien) or the MVA will file the lien against your new title (i.e. transfer the lien).
  • Power of attorney – If someone other than you, the new owner, is signing the titling forms for you, this document is required.

Note that if you also intend to register the vehicle, additional forms are usually needed

Registration requirements vary greatly by the type and intended use of the vehicle. The requirements for most vehicles can be found in Registration – Common Vehicles.

Cerebral Palsy

Maybe someone at your school has cerebral palsy — or perhaps you have it and you’ve been dealing with it your whole life. As we become more aware of appearance and body image. it can be tough to be in a wheelchair or to have people tease you about the way you walk. But lots of teens with CP don’t let it hold them back. They do just what everyone else does.

What Is Cerebral Palsy?

Cerebral palsy (CP) is a disorder of the brain. Normally, the brain tells the rest of the body exactly what to do and when to do it. Because of how CP affects the brain, a person might not be able to walk, talk, eat, or move the way most people do.

CP affects a person’s muscle tone and ability to coordinate body movements. People with CP have trouble controlling their muscles. How a person is affected all depends on what part of the brain is involved.

How Does Cerebral Palsy Affect People?

The three types of cerebral palsy are:

  1. Spastic (pronounced: SPASS-tik) CP is the most common type of CP. People with spastic CP can’t relax their muscles or the muscles may be stiff.
  2. Athetoid (pronounced: ATH-uh-toid) CP affects the ability to control the muscles of the body. A person’s arms or legs may flutter and move suddenly.
  3. Ataxic (pronounced: ay-TAK-sik). People with ataxic CP have problems with balance and coordination. Their movements may seem shaky.

People with CP can have mild cases or more severe cases. It all depends on how much of the brain is affected and which parts of the body that section of the brain controls. If CP affects both arms and both legs, a person might need to use a wheelchair. If CP only affects the legs, someone may walk in an unsteady way or have to wear braces or use crutches.

If CP affects the part of the brain that controls speech, a person with CP might have trouble talking clearly or not be able to speak at all. Some people with CP also have learning disabilities or behavior problems, though many don’t have these issues. Others can have medical problems like seizures or epilepsy. or hearing impairment.

What Causes It?

In most cases, doctors don’t know exactly what causes CP. They do know that it’s the result of damage to the brain — either while a baby is in the womb or in the first few months or years after the baby is born.

Babies have a higher chance of having CP if they are born early or if they’re very underweight at birth. Babies who don’t get enough oxygen during or right after birth also have a higher chance of having CP. So do babies who need to be on a ventilator (a machine to help with breathing) for several weeks or more after birth.

CP is not contagious, so people can’t catch it from other people. Even a mother with CP can’t pass it on to her unborn baby.

What Do Doctors Do?

Doctors diagnose CP when kids are young, so by the time people reach their teens, they usually know they have CP and are used to living with it.

With CP, the problem with the brain will not get any worse as people get older. For example, someone who has CP that affects only the legs won’t develop CP in the arms or have problems with speech later on.

Although CP doesn’t get worse over time, how it affects someone’s body can change as the person grows or develops. For example, some teens with CP may develop dislocated hips (when the bones that meet at the hips move out of their normal position) or scoliosis (curvature of the spine).

Because CP affects people differently, there are lots of ways to treat and manage it. Some teens have only mild problems with movement. Others need crutches or wheelchairs to get around. Doctors, parents, teachers, therapists, and the person with CP all work together to develop the best treatment plan.

Teens with CP may work with these experts:

  • a pediatric orthopedist
  • a developmental pediatrician who looks at how the person is growing or developing compared with other teens
  • a pediatric physiatrist (or rehabilitation physician), who helps kids with disabilities of many kinds
  • therapists, like physical therapists to help with movement, occupational therapists to help with skills like handwriting, and speech therapists

Some teens with CP take medicines to relax their muscles (in the case of spastic CP) or to help control seizures. And some might have special surgeries to keep their arms or legs straighter and more flexible.

Coping With Cerebral Palsy

Puberty can be especially challenging for people with CP. Rapid growth can cause weight gain and clumsiness in any teen, but can make it even more difficult for someone with CP to move around. A person’s muscles can become tighter as the bones grow, which can restrict movement even more.

If you have CP, what you’ll do depends on your CP. One thing you can do is to get more involved in your medical care wherever possible. Keep up with your appointments, including any physical or other therapy visits. This is a time when your medical team will want to keep an eye on you and adapt your treatment or therapy as you grow.

Many guys and girls with CP can do the same sorts of things that other teens do, like enjoying extracurricular activities, listening to or playing music, hanging out with friends, reading, going to the mall, and dating, to name just a few.

Helping a Friend Who Has CP

If you know someone who has CP and you’re wondering how to help, just treat that person the way you would anyone else. Some people with CP might need extra assistance once in a while, like when reaching for something. Help out — just as you would with anyone else — without making a big deal about it. If you can’t understand what a person with CP is saying or if it takes longer to do things, give him or her extra time to speak or move.

And don’t be afraid to talk to a friend about what it’s like to live with CP. Everyone wants to fit in, and being in a wheelchair or having other physical problems can make someone self-conscious or feel left out. So if you know someone with CP, try to be welcoming and include him or her in what you’re doing.
