When I needed someone to drive my Penske rental truck from upstate NY to CT near Labor Day weekend, I thought I’d found something too good to be true when my online search finally turned up U Ride I Drive, and Frank. As it turned out, he is the real deal, and I honestly can’t imagine how things would have turned out had I not found him.I had hired movers in NY to load everything, and movers in CT to unload, but not wishing the immense stress of driving a 22 foot truck with my car towed behind it (I’m a good driver, but not that good!), I needed a driver. From the very first contact, Frank was absolutely top notch in terms of prompt communication, management of my expectations, accurate quotes, tips and suggestions, and just an all around pleasure to deal with. So many companies today can be soo incredibly difficult to reach, much less work with. And Frank immediately was solutions oriented, helping work with me to select the best date, the best process, and made what I had thought would be the toughest part of the whole move, turn into a breeze.On the day of the move, Frank kept me updated every step of his way up to NY (during his multiple train and cab rides), arrived on time, and was ready to go. As it turned out, despite the advice I’d received from others that a 22 foot truck would be large enough for my belongings, there was a substantial amount of storage items that simply hadn’t fit onto the truck. This could have easily turned into a nightmare. Frank didn’t think twice – since the standard truck rental allowed me to have it for 2 more days, he again was immediately solutions oriented. He offered right then – that once everything from the first truckload got unloaded in CT – to drive BACK UP to NY again the next day, to get the rest of my things, for what was a very reasonable additional fee. It was a life line in a very stressful situation.He did both round trips, professionally and cheerfully, even jumping in to help my CT movers unload, to push them along and keep things moving. He came in within the budget, provided receipts for all expenses, and even brought me a house warming present of fresh tomatoes from his garden!I still feel like it was a true miracle that I found Frank to help me. Frank was fantastic from start to finish. He sized up the situation and told me what my daughter and I needed in order to get her belongings from NYC to her new place. He helped when the front-end movers messed up and helped fix a couple of things that needed attention upon arrival. Frank helped set up my daughter s bed, made sure the local kids on the other end knew there was an adult in the picture for a couple of days and just got it done. Got it done right and like any caring parent would want!

It is my pleasure to recommend Frank s services. I was planning to drive my 24 foot rented truck from CT to OH myself, until my father found out and insisted on hiring me a driver. Thank God we went with Frank. First of all, when the move did not go according to schedule due to illness and a lot of other unforeseen complications, Frank rearranged his schedule to accommodate mine. On arrival he took note of the age and condition of the truck, but gamely got behind the wheel and promised to get it where it needed to be. He kept in touch with me regularly to let me know where he and the truck were, and when the power steering failed 100 miles from OH, he kept going, refusing the rental company s offer of a ride to the airport (which would have necessitated, in his words, abandoning the truck). When I could not get to OH to meet him in time, he agreed instead to meet my elderly parents, whom he treated with courtesy and respect. He provided them with detailed receipts for travel costs. He even advised me on negotiating with the rental company for a refund, which I successfully did. Should I ever need to do this again, I would call Frank before I did anything else.

My son was moving from Alabama to California to start a new job. Large truck loaded pulling auto transport. Truck driver had medical emergency and could not make the trip. We were searching for someone last minute to drive all this to California over a 2,300 mile trip. We found Frank online and he assured us he could do the job and get everything there on time. The truck was an old UHaul truck and he had to deal with tire blowouts, countless breakdowns and a very unhelpful UHaul customer service department. Along the way he had to negotiate to get all the furniture unloaded and reloaded on to a new truck. In addition, the movers hired to unload the truck did not show up. He even assisted us in getting the truck unloaded which was not part of the job. Frank is a smart, knowledgeable, capable, responsible, reliable man. He told me that no matter what obstacles he faced he would get the load there on time. HE DELIVERS! HIS WORD IS GOOD! I have the highest praises for Frank, first a stranger I was hesitant to put this responsibility in his hands .now a true friend who saved me in a time of crisis.

Let me start by saying that I NEVER write reviews. I am just not that guy. Today I NEED to make an exception.

I needed to relocate for work on the Friday before July 4th from NYC to The Hamptons on Long Island. I had everything all set up (I thought). I had everything packed and ready to go. I had a U-Haul rented. I had a driver ready to go because I can not drive. Everything was planned so I can be ready to report to my new position at the new office on July 2nd.

At literally the last minute, my driver decides to stop answering my numerous phone calls and texts. What am I supposed to do? It is the night before the move. Im in a real bind. So I turn to Google. And search for a driver.

It could not have been more than 10 minutes after my inquiry that I receive a phone call. I explain me situation to Frank. I am apologizing the whole time because I know I am asking for a miracle. He could not have put me at ease any faster. He told me that he would personally make sure that it works out. He was completely right!

Frank was punctual, precise, friendly and detail oriented. He arrived at my apartment ready to go. He knew just how to pack everything in the truck for the trip, including the few fragile belongings. He knew the best time and route to minimize any unforseen delays. The price quote was not only fair, but consistant. He did not try to price gouge me due to my situation.

Door to door, I was surprised how quickly we were able to get everything done. I will admit that I am by no means a muscle man , but I gave it my all to keep up.

Although I hope that I am never in this situation again, I am very greatful for all the work that was done to make it happen.

Without a doubt, I would hire Frank again in a heartbeat and refer him to anyone in need of a driver.
