1 check-in First to Review

My son and his brother are using this company to travel to NC. A one way ticket is $60.00 I guess that reasonable.

The bus was originally suppose to leave at 8 pm upon my arrival at 7 pm. I was informed the bus was now leaving at 9 pm.

But guess what the bus still isn t here, every time I ask the person at the counter where the bus is I m being told it will be here any minute. I swear if that man says that one more time I may be inclined to slap him. The bus finally arrived at 9:45 pm.

The only I like about this company is the fact that they have assigned sitting.

I m happy to report my son arrived safely to North Carolina

3 Online Travel Sites You Shouldn t Miss

With so many travel booking websites out there, it’s sometimes hard to know which one to use. While many of us are familiar with larger, established sites like Expedia, Travelocity, and Kayak, there are a number of up and coming travel sites you may not be as familiar with.

Updated (9/15/2011):

One of the newest flight search engines to hit the radar is Google Flights . Launched in September, 2011, it hasn’t reached our favorites list yet, but it does look quite promising.

Google Flights is powered by technology Google acquired earlier in the year when it finalized the purchase of Cambridge, Mass. based ITA Software. While not substantially different from other sites that let you search for flights, it is one of the fastest we’ve used. The site uses location information from your computer to anticipate your departure airport and it pre-fills this info into the flight search form. (The site correctly guessed our airport when using a desktop computer near Washington, D.C. but oddly thought we’d be departing from New York when using an Android smartphone with GPS enabled at the same desk.) Start the search by entering a destination city (or choosing one from the list of popular destinations) and a list of flights is immediately displayed based on a 5-day trip beginning about 2 weeks from today. A clever calendar view displays a bar graph of prices by date and a scatter graph lets you move sliders to find the best balance of price and flying time. Clever, albeit a bit complicated.

Once you’ve found the flight you want, the site takes you to the website of your chosen airline and pre-fills the info about your selected flight to help speed your purchase — though this feature didn’t work for some airlines. As with most Google products, expect a series of rapid improvements and enhancements in the near future as the product matures.

And now, for our current favorite travel booking websites:

This “hip” site has a clean, intuitive design which makes it a breeze to search for a flight or hotel. A simple form on the homepage lets you enter your desired flight or hotel information, while the HipMunk mascot, a travel-ready chipmunk, smiles at you. Results are displayed chronologically in a novel Gantt-chart format that makes it easy to zero in on the departure and arrival times. (You can also sort by price, stops, departure time, arrival time, or duration.) Our favorite sorting criteria, which is also the default, is the “Agony” option—which combines price, duration and number of stops into a single criteria.

A tab at the bottom right, which also appears on the home page, offers the option of live help. The hotel search on HipMunk gives you the option to select a hotel based on what you want near you—whether that be shopping, food or nightlife. The results are displayed on a map with each hotel represented by a dot, so you can easily see which hotels are nearest your chosen activity.

Momondo is another easy new way to start your travel plans. Taking a slightly different approach, Momondo searches 800+ travel sites to help you find and compare flights, hotels, and car rentals. Choose your best option and get linked to the airline or travel agency that offers that deal.  Enter your preferred dates right on the homepage, and a list of flight options shows up very quickly.

You can narrow your results by the number of stops, preferred airlines, layover cities or price. The beauty of Momondo is how deep it goes pulling the best deals for you—ones you may have spent hours looking for and still not found. Its search engine moves fast, and moves through it all, to find you your best travel options.

Matrix is a refreshing take on the travel booking site. Its Spartan design may be a turn-off for some but we like that the site is uncluttered and free of advertisements. (Matrix is the software that powers many of the larger travel sites including CheapTickets and Orbitz.) In lieu of fancy design, the folks at Matrix have clearly spent their time refining the ways to shop for your travel plans. Complete your initial search, which requires a bit more information than HipMunk and Momondo, such as the option to choose which cabin you prefer, and your search results appear.

The results promise the best deals, but the real fun begins once you choose an option that may work. Click on your chosen option, and it takes you to another page where you can view events and tours that are happening during your trip.

The Bottom Line

Despite different features these sites offer, many of us still use travel sites primarily to search for the lowest price. To see how these sites stacked up against each other and the competition, we priced three sample trips: Raleigh-Durham to Las Vegas, Denver to Orlando, and Phoenix to Chicago.

For all three trips, the prices were the same across all the sites—including Expedia and Travelocity. We also like that the airfare on these three sites included all the fees and tariffs in the total so you see the price you’ll actually pay.

3 new travel websites give travelers easier access to specials, packages, deals

Three new websites give travelers more ways to connect with travel specials and deals.

© 2013 Karen Rubin/ uses social networking to connect travelers with local travel providers a social network connecting travelers with local travel providers, announces new trip planning features set to launch in January of 2013. Travelers will be able to broadcast upcoming trip plans and then receive personalized offers from local travel businesses.

When a traveler publishes his trip plan it will be forwarded to relevant locals who can then pitch the best local travel deals that fit the travelers taste and interests. Travel business owners get a new marketing avenue by being able to pitch discounts on hotels, restaurant coupons, day trips, taxi services and more directly to interested travelers.

It’s easy enough to find hotels online but travelers looking for transport and activities have fewer options. Touristlink aims to solve this problem by bridging the gap between local travel businesses offering these service and the travelers who need them. Simplicity is the key to Touristlink’s new features that enable travelers to post a trip plan in seconds.

To get started travelers are only required to enter a location and a date or range of dates. Once a trip plan is posted local travel businesses are alerted and can contact the traveler personally with enticing offers.

One problem with social trip planning tools is that to be successful they require a certain amount of participation. Visitors don’t want to see empty pages and providers making offers want some positive business response. Although the site launched a year ago the Touristlink team waited for over a year to get sufficient traction before announcing plans to launch this product.

Since the site launched in October 2011 it has signed up over 5,000 local travel businesses, many of whom are offering their own deals on the platform. In addition, according to rankings on the site is now one of the largest social networks for travel.

Touristlink is a social marketplace for travel that lets travelers get to know firsthand the local behind the tour they are planning or the small hotel they want to stay. Travelers tired of generic tour offerings can get unique trip ideas and offers direct from local providers as well as see reviews and recommendations of the same provider from other travelers.

Businesses benefit in that they get additional online exposure and can access a host of tools to help them engage customers on traditional social media platforms. It’s a great resource whether you want to get off the beaten path or just want to plan your own trip. Touristlink is managed by GotripIndia and has versions in both Spanish ( ) and Portugese ( ). aggregates best vacation deals and packages from around the web brings the latest deals from around the web to the user with the click of a button. A real-time website aggregator, it provides online customers with convenient access to airline, hotel, and car rental services. Organized by hotel, airfare, vacations, cruises, or rental cars, the site makes it easy for online customers to browse. Online shoppers can also search for the best deals based on price, location, or popularity. lists all of the hottest and most up-to-date vacation packages, deals, and discounts from today’s most popular daily deal and travel websites including,, and, making it a one stop-shop for online consumers. With an easy-to-navigate interface, the website provides convenient access to airline, hotel, and car rental services. Organized by hotel, airfare, vacations, cruises, or rental cars, the site makes browsing the internet for the best deals with the click of a button.

“Looking through hundreds of travel sites can take hours to find the best deals, and most online shoppers just do not have that extra time to spare. We created as a way to help online shoppers simplify their travel plans by visiting one website,” says Denise Hitch, Vice President of Marketing. “This new website will let online shoppers find and book the best hotel, airfare, or cruise packages whether they are at work, in the car, on the couch, or in their kitchens.”

Travelers will soon have a new website to search for hotel specials and travel packages. launching in February, is a new website where travel trade partners can list travel deals at no monthly cost, which in turn enables travelers to search for travel deals in an easy and simplified way.

Travellers have free use of the website and have the option to search for hotel deals, travel packages, last minute deals and also by means of using a map, displaying the three options available to them based on their geographical location.

“Our goal was to add value to both the traveler and the trade, providing the trade with a sustainable platform to constantly offer deals to travelers.” said Bertus Floor, Managing Director of “The website took extensive research, planning and development over a period of 5 years and we are glad about the release of the beta website to the trade”, Floor added. The official launch date for the public is set for February 1, 2013.

Travelers can also browse through accommodation for world events, like a Grand Prix or Olympic games, as well as for unique experiences. Once travelers have found the deal they want they can choose their options and securely book online immediately.

With all the travel websites currently available, the developers of said they recognized the need in the market for a classifieds-type ‘specials only’ website that would give travelers the ability to browse both long and short term travel specials.

In the near future, the site has plans to add mobile version of the site, reviews, user galleries and videos.

Mood Lighting and Menu Service in Economy! Virgin Atlantic’s Classy New

Mood Lighting and Menu Service in Economy. Virgin Atlantic’s Classy New Upgrade

March 27, 2015

Flying economy on Virgin Atlantic just got a whole lot better. (Photo: Virgin Atlantic)

Millions of people make the famous New York to London flight annually. It’s a journey of 3,459 miles, and one that now takes a mere six hours when tail winds are in your favor.

But over the past few years, there seems to have been a focus on improving the flying experience for those in First or Business class on long flights. Those of us who usually sit at the back of the plane have noticed our seats getting tighter, and the economy cabin feeling more cramped, all to make the cabins at the front of the plane more spacious.

But not anymore. Enter the Boeing 787 Dreamliner for Virgin Atlantic.

This plane has been in service for other airlines for a couple of years, but this week, Virgin launched its New York to London route—and hopes to have 21 of these planes in service by 2018. But the thing that makes Virgin’s version of this spectacular vessel different is where they’ve placed a lot of their focus: the Economy cabin.

Don’t get me wrong. The Upper Class cabin is still impeccable. But here are five reasons why the Virgin Atlantic Dreamliner, nicknamed “Dream Jeannie,” may now be the best way to fly transatlantic….in economy.

1. There’s more space.

The Dreamliner was built with more space in mind. Everything looks and feels bigger. The cabin height is several feet higher than it is on other planes, due to an impressive vaulted ceiling. The aisles are wider. The overhead bins are larger, but placed higher up to avoid those awkward head-banging incidents that anyone over 5’ 5” will have certainly experienced. The seats are designed to be thinner, meaning they take up less room, providing several inches more leg room. Plus, the seats pitch back further for a much more comfortable experience. Even the toilets feel bigger. I swear, there’s enough room to swing a cat in there, which is a serious rarity in the usually-coffin-like airplane bathrooms. Virgin has managed to provide passengers with an innovative Economy cabin that feels spacious and airy, resulting in a much more comfortable journey.

Look at all that leg room! (Photo: Virgin Atlantic)

2. There’s great wireless.

People are very attached to their mobile technology, and Virgin has taken note. The plane is fully wired for wireless services that even work when you are flying over the middle of the Atlantic. For around $20, you can stay connected to the outside world for the duration of the flight, meaning you can update your Facebook status and check your email from 38,000 feet.

To coincide with the Dreamliner launch, Virgin even announced the #SkyhighSelfie, offering passengers the opportunity to update their Facebooks from the air, free of charge.

And to make sure that you are never left short when it comes to your battery life, every single seat on the plane has power access via USB, so you can charge your phone or tablet during the journey.

3. There’s mood lighting. Yes, mood lighting.

Jetlag sucks. And it has the potential to ruin your trip. Whether you travel for business or pleasure, being able to adjust to the new time zone is vital to your overall experience. As any frequent traveler knows, the best way to trick your circadian clock—the fancy term for your internal body clock—is through light therapy, where you trick your body into thinking it’s a different time by exposing it to light at specific times.

Sound complicated? Thanks to Virgin Atlantic, it won’t be.

The new Dreamliner has been outfitted with a revolutionary new ambient mood lighting system throughout the main cabin, designed to help passengers adjust to the changing timezones—and that’s because it changes color throughout the flight. The light begins at a soft “rose champagne” color as people board, to help them de-stress and relax. It then changes into “purple haze” to make people feel comfortable and cozy, before transitioning to “amber warmth,” which is designed to feel like candlelight for when people are dining. Lastly, it morphs into “silver moonlight” to help people fall asleep.

It’s like seeing your flight through rose-colored glasses. (Photo: Virgin Atlantic)

There is then an eight-minute “sunrise” sequence, too, designed to gradually wake people up in the new time zone. Not only does it work, but it looks beautiful and completely changes the aesthetic inside the cabin.

Good morning, passengers! (Photo: Virgin Atlantic)

4. It’s cleaner, quieter, and more efficient.

For those of you worried about your carbon footprint, this plane provides quite the feel-good factor. Not only is it 60% quieter than other aircrafts of the same size, it is a lot more fuel efficient, burning approximately 20% less fuel than similarly sized planes.

The advanced air filtration system also means that the air you breathe in the cabin is a lot cleaner. This is an amazing fact for those of us who get a bit squeamish about the thought of all the germs swimming around in the air. This system also helps increase the humidity on board. Considering that most planes in flight are more arid than a desert, this has a huge impact on everyone’s overall health and comfort during the journey.

The air in the cabin is cleaner than ever before. (Photo: Virgin Atlantic)

5. It’s all about the little things.

There are a ton of new little touches on this plane that you will not see on others. For instance, there are full-length mirrors in the bathrooms, which not only make them feel a lot more spacious, but actually serve a purpose, allowing passengers to give themselves full-length once-overs after a long, disheveled journey.

When you first board the plane, crew members hand out dinner menus, a service that you may only expect in Upper Class. This makes everyone on board feel special.

And another unique innovation is the auto tint windows, which no longer have a shutter. Instead, you just push a button, and they gradually darken. It’s all very futuristic.

Lastly, the staff is incredible. While this isn’t specific to this particular plane, it is certainly a major selling point of this airline in general. Crew members are dynamic, friendly, and extremely accommodating. It is clear that Virgin Atlantic hires staff members who love their jobs, and genuinely want to ensure that the passengers on board have an enjoyable experience.

All these changes combined make a massive difference to the overall experience of flying in the Economy cabin on a long flight. Virgin’s launch of this plane and its new route is going to change the way airlines compete for business and loyalty. They are showing that they care about every passenger on board, not just the ones paying more for their fancy seats.

Hartwig Moss Insurance Agency

Address 2626 Canal St Fl 3
New Orleans, LA 70119

Be careful when using Hartwig Moss Insurance. They were eager to meet with me when I initially signed up with cash on hand, but any questions or concerns were met with we’ll get back to you or long hold times.

When I finally changed my insurance company, I told them several times that I was not renewing with them and yet their correspondence became increasingly hostile. Finally, as if I could not read normal print the had to type it in ALL CAPS as if I were hard of hearing.

It is not a good company to deal with. I would go with Safeco or Century 21.

John E. Lastrapes Insurance Agency

I had a great experience with the people at Lastrapes Insurance. They got me quotes from many different companies for both my home and auto insurance. I even got an auto home discount. Saved me a lot of money compared to what I was paying with my previous agent because he could only sell me insurance from one company. I would highly recommend using Lastrapes Insurance for your insurance.

2017 Acura NSX Review #the #new #nsx

Email a Friend

2017 Acura NSX Review

Top Speed: 191 MPH

Price: $157,800 (incl. delivery)

It uses electric torque, class-leading chassis rigidity and next-level all-wheel drive electronics to ensure it responds to inputs with urgency. It changes direction the second you ask it to, and the power hits almost telepathically.

Ironic, right? For a car that looks and goes so damn fast, it sure took its sweet time to get here. But as they say, you can’t rush greatness. Is that a phrase that can be applied to the new NSX?

Because it took so long to arrive, we’ve had plenty of time to digest all the details of this Acura supercar. We already know about the six cylinders and two turbos, the three electric motors and the nine speeds on its dual clutch transmission. And then there are the really big digits. Like its horsepower rating and price tag, both of which are equally exotic.

But none of that tells you what you really want to know, which is what it s like to drive.

Japan’s Greatest Sports Car Ever?

I could say it’s glorious or astounding, but for me, it’s all that and more, because driving this new NSX is truly a bucket list experience. Remember, we’re talking about the modern evolution of the greatest sports car to ever come out of Japan. (Fans of the Nissan GT-R and Toyota Supra can voice their displeasure in the comments section now.)

There might be turbo lag in this car, but you can’t tell. That’s because the rear electric motor gives instantaneous torque with 109 lb-ft available from 500 rpm that masks any delay. Add that to the mid-mounted internal combustion engine and system output totals 573 hp.

To keep you from oversteering yourself off course, the twin electric front motors can each add 54 lb-ft of torque to claw you out of a corner. That might not sound like much, but it works astonishingly well. More importantly, by differing the speeds of the inside and outside wheel, it can use electricity (both output and regeneration) to physically make the car corner. It does so when you’re on the gas, and even when you let off, seamlessly and independently matching to rotation of the front wheels to your steering angle to arc the car through a corner.

As a result, it feels far more stable than you expect for a mid-engine car. Normally, a machine with this much power requires a cautious throttle when exiting a curve, yes, even with sticky Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tires. But not here. It actually challenges you to put your foot down earlier than you’d ever think you could. The car makes you feel like a much better driver than you actually are.

The real magic is that it does all of this naturally and seamlessly. You simply don’t notice the technology. The steering feels natural, and the regenerative brakes are as consistent as they are powerful.

Is It True to the Original?

Some may criticize the weight of the car, and they’re not wrong. At 3,800 pounds, it’s 600 lbs heavier than an R8 and certainly not light, however, it doesn’t feel heavy at all.

When pressed on issue, Honda PR boss Sage Marie (a bit of a racer himself) admitted that while it’s not like the original NSX in this one way, it does stay true to that car by pushing the industry in a new direction. Whereas the original NSX set the tone for super sports cars to come by offering thrilling performance in a lightweight, reliable and easy-to-drive package, this latest offering is bringing a new level of hybrid technology and handling capability that the car’s chief engineer, Ted Klaus, firmly believes will change the breed forever.

And while these new technological advancements do deliver incredible performance, they’re also where part of the blame lies when it comes to critiquing the driving experience.

As a driver, you feel almost too isolated behind the wheel. Blasting down the back straight at the Thermal Club raceway outside Palm Springs, if I didn’t have a speedometer in front of me, I never would have guessed I just did 125 mph. And the car’s cornering capabilities are almost to good to believe.

I walked away from my 15 or so laps behind the wheel thinking, I know I’m not this good, but the NSX has me believing I am.

I’m sold on its performance, but let’s not forget that one of the NSX’s claims to fame was that it was a livable supercar. So what’s it like to drive every day?

Civilized is the best word to describe it.

The Everyday Supercar?

Acura says the NSX is the quietest car in its class, and that’s an easy claim to believe. The NSX comes with four settings that you control via a dial on the center console, and the most basic setting is actually called Quiet Mode.

Then you can switch to Sport, Sport +, and finally Track, with each setting changing all the car s parameters to be stiffer, quicker reacting and louder.

Unfortunately, even Track mode isn’t loud enough. In the cabin, you can’t even really hear the exhaust anyway. Instead it’s masked by the intake noise that’s piped in right behind you, much in the same way McLaren does (and I don’t love it there, either).

Another area where the car left me lacking was the launch control system. Yes, it’s fast, but I could feel a slight dip in acceleration after the initial launch before it really began to take off. Sure, it throws you back in your seat, but by comparison, the 911 Turbo feels like it just slapped you in the throat.

But back to the real world, whether it’s the super rigid chassis or the magnetic shocks, the ride is extremely comfortable.

Acura is also making a big deal of the sightlines out of this car, and while that’s certainly not as sexy as horsepower, think of it this way: The better you can see out of a sports car, the more confident you feel behind the wheel.

The A-pillars are extremely narrow, meaning you have very little blockage out the front and as a taller driver, I just love how the roof doesn’t overhang. When I come to a stop light in this car, I don’t have to lean forward to see what color it is. I can just look up.

Driven around town, you don’t get any of the jerkiness you’d expect from a dual-clutch transmission, all thanks to the use of the electric motors at low speed, meaning you don’t ever really have to use first gear.

Does This Supercar have a ‘Super’ Interior?

Acura made sure that, like the original, the new NSX has an environment that’s comfortable and user friendly. At 6 foot 1, I fit just fine, although it does require some ducking to get into and out of. What’s genuinely pleasant is that for all the futuristic technologies used to power the car, the cabin is remarkably simplistic in its design and even easier to operate.

The digital gauges are a nice touch and the optional matte carbon fiber steering wheel is certainly exotic. Unfortunately, the tilt and telescopic functions are manual, and the look and feel of some of the switchgear doesn t live up to the car’s pricepoint.

The Verdict: 2017 Acura NSX Review

Is it worth the astronomical price tag? While it’s certainly not expensive for its competitive set, we are talking $156,000 to start, which may seem like a lot for an Acura. Let me start by saying I might be the wrong person to answer this question. I haven’t mentioned the styling of this car at all yet because it’s totally subjective, but for me, it’s probably worth the cost of entry based on the looks alone.

Of course, you’re getting so much more than an exotic look. And I’m not just talking about supercar performance you can live with and drive every day. This car does such an incredible job making it all feel so natural that it’s easy to forget that when you’re driving the Acura NSX, you’re driving the very first in a new generation of exotic cars.

Top Cooking Schools ~ Find The Best Ranking Culinary Arts –

The Best of the Best in Culinary Training

No matter your profession, becoming the best often means training with the best. This is especially true for aspiring chefs. Hands-on training and experience are key to a young cook’s success, and will help determine future job opportunities for years to come. Here’s how to distinguish the top-ranking schools:

The Program

The kitchen is the real star of any culinary career or training program. A chef is no one without it. Top schools will have the best kitchens with the best equipment. Some will differentiate with labs for baking, butchering and wine making. An extension of the kitchen should be a student-run restaurant or bakery. Top schools will have fully functional operations that are open to the public and that offer students training opportunities in the front and back of the house. If there is no restaurant, look for other events that are open to the public, such as cooking demonstrations or gourmet-dinner nights. The best schools will emphasize training by providing these opportunities and requiring a high number of cooking hours. Training may also be offered in the form of internships or apprenticeships in the community. Many schools will have established partnerships with leading businesses to give students training and experience.

Faculty at top schools will have experience as chefs or other restaurant leaders. They should also be certified and should represent a variety of culinary traditions. Small class sizes will give students the benefit of learning the most from these instructors.

The Results

The proof is in the pudding, as they say, and top culinary schools will produce graduates with strong job prospects. You should look for high graduation and employment rates as a measure of a school’s ranking. Note the types of jobs that graduates get and track their career paths. If students are finding long-term opportunities with good salaries, it’s a good indication of the quality of the training program. Top schools with also have a large alumni network – which will be useful to students and recent graduates for networking to find jobs or opportunities for internships.

Our Top 10

There are no comprehensive ranking guides for culinary schools, but a number of surveys have been conducted to get the opinions of students and industry leaders on who make up the cream of the crop in culinary training.

Here’s a list of our top 10, which frequently also make it onto other leading surveys:

I was wondering which school to choose from CIA or gordon bleu I know CIA is very famous because almost all their cheffs work in food network

I[m looking for a course in London.

I found your website really helpful in knowing what questions to ask when I visit culinary schools this summer, but I am really only interested in vegan cuisine and was wondering if I could get some feedback on the best vegetarian/vegan culinary academies. I am looking for legitimate institutes that are accredited and will offer me a useful degree for actually getting employed. I am having some difficulty finding this type of institute, but I am very excited to pursue a career in this area! Could you help? Thank you for your time!

New England Culinary Institute was big on vegetarian and vegan in 92 when I attended. It has served me well.

Hello,my name is carol and I am an international student in United States univity from China. I want to learn cuisine in Unitade States in free time. and be a kitchener in the future. I want to konw that which training colleges or university I can choose. Please help me.

Hi I was wondering if you ve heard of LCI (Louisiana Culinary Institute) located in Baton Rouge Louisiana. If you have could you give some advice on if its a good accredited school in education in savory food.

I was wanting to know what was required for the CIA to get in. Also how old you have to be, I was thinking about graduating high school early and go to culinary school and then music. I have a lot I want to do. And my number one dream is to open a restaurant.

Smile Design Dentistry of Tampa Palms – General Dentistry – 16021

16021 Tampa Palms Blvd W
Tampa. FL 33647
(813) 517-1446

In the Tampa Florida area this Dental Group is the place to go. All of the doctors in this group are great but if i had to choose one it would be Dr Gary Nanavati. You can get more info than i can list here from their website They are my latest addition to my list of Great Dentists in the US Dr Gary Nanavati is all about continuing education and the latest techniques. The last time I saw him was when some of my staff and I was doing a 3 part course in the Clearwater area. I also had the pleasure of meeting Dr Patel and Dr Buckley. Rest assured your mouth will be in good hands with the doctors of Tampa Palms Dental.

Best dentistry office I have ever been to. I have a history of gum issues, but my hygienist, Stephanie, has helped me get them into shape. She recommended all the right products I needed, but never pushed anything on me that I didn t really need. The result, after a few visits, is that my gums are in better shape than ever! Today she said, Your gums look great! I never thought I d hear that in my lifetime. Stephanie is courteous, professional, friendly, and really good at what she does. Thank you, Stephanie, and thank you Smile Dentist Design for a consistently positive experience at the dentist.

Only went because they were having a summer special. I am not sure what their usual pricing is. It is located in the publix plaza so it is in a really nice location. The dentist that came in to see me had an amazing personality, actually seemed like he wanted to be there and that he enjoyed his job. I would come here again.

I made an appt with Dr. Bucklley, New Tampa Palms office I was impressed with the receptionist and the overall look of the office. thought great I have found an office I liked that is approved by my insurance. BIG MISTAKE. upon completing the paperwork mixed in with the HIPA forms was a document that states Patient consent to use credit, debit card disclosure the form required initial by each statement and sign (patient will not challenge any charges made by Smile Design Dentistry to my bank debit or credit card. I explained I am not comfortable signing a form that takes my rights away and give you card blanch to my bank/credit account so I asked if I was reading this correctly and the office manager stated that is correct you are giving up you right to dispute any changes made by the office. I ripped up the paper work (except for the one page document discussed above) and stated I hope all their patients read what they sign. I would only authorize charges on an aggreed upon dental plan of treatment. The office manager said then we won t treat you without cash and I was free to leave. I hope the doctors review just what they are requesting of their patients.

Online Class: Film Appreciation

Course Description

‘Film Appreciation for Modern Audiences’ is intended as a journey through the world of film. It is a sampling of the thought and accumulated critical opinion that forms the basis of the modern stature of 100 years of film-making–as art or culturally important dramatic work.

Aloha Bail Bonds – Bail Bondsmen – 320 W Cedar St,

    320 W Cedar St
    San Diego. CA 92101
    United States

I was involved in an unfortunate situation where I had to find a bailsbond while I was in jail. I called Aloha bailsbond because the name reminding me of Hawaii (I know, it s lame, but when hundreds of options are presented, you go off of instinct). She picked up the phone immediately and totally trusted that I would pay her when I got out. She posted bail for me without a dime and on a promise. I was out as soon as they allowed us. Very responsive and professional and would highly recommend. While her office location is not one to be desired, Aloha was very professional and handled my situation delicately. Highly recommend her service.

Don t know what the below person is talking about. It seems as though he has a personal problem with the owner, and says nothing about the service provided. I had a great experience with Aloha. They were very nice and knowledgeable. Got my brother out of jail fast and worked with me on payments.

New York: Empire of Evolution – The New York Times #urban

    Evolution Right Under Our Noses

An ant trap in a bed of ivy in the median of Broadway at 101st Street in Manhattan. Credit Damon Winter/The New York Times

To study evolution, Jason Munshi-South has tracked elephants in central Africa and proboscis monkeys in the wilds of Borneo. But for his most recent expedition, he took the A train.

Dr. Munshi-South and two graduate students, Paolo Cocco and Stephen Harris, climbed out of the 168th Street station lugging backpacks and a plastic crate full of scales, Ziploc bags, clipboards, rulers and tarps. They walked east to the entrance of Highbridge Park. where they met Ellen Pehek, a senior ecologist in the New York City Parks and Recreation Department. The four researchers entered the park, made their way past a basketball game and turned off the paved path into a ravine.

They worked their way down the steep slope, past schist boulders, bent pieces of rebar, oaks and maples, hunks of concrete and freakish poison ivy plants with leaves the size of a man’s hands. The ravine flattened out at the edge of Harlem River Drive. The scientists walked north along a guardrail contorted by years of car crashes before plunging back into the forest to reach their field site.

“We get police called on us a lot,” said Dr. Munshi-South, an assistant professor at Baruch College. “Sometimes with guns drawn.”

Dr. Munshi-South has joined the ranks of a small but growing number of field biologists who study urban evolution — not the rise and fall of skyscrapers and neighborhoods, but the biological changes that cities bring to the wildlife that inhabits them. For these scientists, the New York metropolitan region is one great laboratory.

White-footed mice, stranded on isolated urban islands, are evolving to adapt to urban stress. Fish in the Hudson have evolved to cope with poisons in the water. Native ants find refuge in the median strips on Broadway. And more familiar urban organisms, like bedbugs. rats and bacteria, also mutate and change in response to the pressures of the metropolis. In short, the process of evolution is responding to New York and other cities the way it has responded to countless environmental changes over the past few billion years. Life adapts.

The mice are the object of Dr. Munshi-South’s attention. Since 2008, he and his colleagues have fanned out across the city to study how the rise of New York influenced the evolution of the deer mice.

On this day in Highbridge Park his students, Mr. Cocco and Mr. Harris, spread a blue tarp on the forest floor, while Dr. Munshi-South walked to an orange flag planted in the ground. He picked up an aluminum box sitting next to the flag and pushed in a door at one end. At the other end of the box crouched a white-footed mouse. It gazed back at Dr. Munshi-South with bulging black eyes.

The researchers inspected 50 traps laid the day before and found seven mice inside. They plopped each mouse out of its trap and into a Ziploc bag. They clipped a scale to each bag to weigh the mice. Dr. Munshi-South gently took hold of the animals so his students could measure them with a ruler along their backs.

Dr. Munshi-South and his colleagues have been analyzing the DNA of the mice. He’s been surprised to find that the populations of mice in each park are genetically distinct from the mice in others. “The amount of differences you see among populations of mice in the same borough is similar to what you’d see across the whole southeastern United States,” he said.

White-footed mice live today in forests from Canada to Mexico. They arrived in the New York City region after ice age glaciers retreated 12,000 years ago. In the past few centuries, as their forest home became a city, they survived in New York’s patches of woods. (House mice, which New Yorkers battle in their apartments, arrived with European settlers.) Research by Dr. Munshi-South and his colleagues suggests that New York’s white-footed mice, which occupy isolated patches, are adapting to life in the city.

When Dr. Munshi-South opened the final trap, the seventh mouse had run out of patience. It shot out of its box and raced off into the brush.

Mr. Cocco shrugged. “They are New Yorkers, after all,” he said.

    Pollution Forces Change

Evolution is one of life’s constants. New species emerge; old ones become extinct. Environmental changes have often steered evolution in new directions. And modern cities like New York have brought particularly swift changes to the environment. European settlers cut down most of New York’s original forest; towns grew and then merged into a sprawling metropolitan region. The chemical environment changed as well, as factories dumped chemical pollution into the water and soil.

    Credit The New York Times

Pollution has driven some of the starkest examples of evolution around New York. Hudson River fish faced a dangerous threat from PCBs, which General Electric released from 1947 to 1977. PCBs cause deformities in fish larvae. “These are important changes,” said Isaac I. Wirgin of New York University Medical Center. “If you’re missing your jaw, you’re not going to be able to eat.”

Dr. Wirgin and his colleagues were intrigued to discover that the Hudson’s population of tomcod, a bottom-dwelling fish, turned out to be resistant to PCBs. “There was no effect on them at all,” Dr. Wirgin said, “and we wanted to know why.”

In March, he and his colleagues reported that almost all the tomcod in the Hudson share the same mutation in a gene called AHR2. PCBs must first bind to the protein encoded by AHR2 to cause damage. The Hudson River mutation makes it difficult for PCBs to grab onto the receptor, shielding the fish from the chemical’s harm.

The AHR2 mutation is entirely missing from tomcod that live in northern New England and Canada. A small percentage of tomcod in Long Island and Connecticut carry the mutation. Dr. Wirgin and his colleagues concluded that once PCBs entered the Hudson, the mutant gene spread quickly.

“When these chemicals first starting getting released, if you had the normal form of the gene, you probably weren’t going to make it,” Dr. Wirgin said.

Evolution has also run in the opposite direction as government agencies cleaned up some of the pollution around New York. In 1989, Jeffrey Levinton of Stony Brook University and his colleagues discovered that a population of mud-dwelling worms in the Hudson had evolved resistance to cadmium. They lived in a place called Foundry Cove near a battery factory near West Point. Dr. Levinton and his colleagues found that the worms produced huge amounts of a protein that binds cadmium and prevents it from doing harm.

In the early 1990s, the federal Environmental Protection Agency hauled away most of the cadmium-laced sediment from Foundry Cove. Over nine generations, the Foundry Cove worm populations became vulnerable again. This shift occurred, Dr. Levinton and his colleagues reported last year, as worms from less contaminated parts of the river moved in. They are interbreeding with the resident worms, and the resistant mutations are becoming rarer.

Today, scientists can scan the entire genomes of New York’s animals and plants to look for evolutionary changes. Last month, Mr. Harris presented new data on white-footed mice at the annual meeting of the Society for the Study of Evolution. Mr. Harris and his colleagues have identified mutations in more than 1,000 genes that are present in all New York City mice, but missing from mice in Harriman State Park. 45 miles north of the city.

    New UK BMW

    A Brief history of BMW

BMW can trace its history all the way back to 1913, when a Bavarian named Karl Rapp started an aircraft-engine shop in Munich named Rapp Motoren Werke. 1916 saw Rapp Motoren Werke securing a contract to supply a large number of V12 aero engines to Austro-Daimler, as a result, Rapp needed to find a backer to finance the companies expansion and the Bayerische Motoren Werke BMW as we know it was formed. Unfortunately BMW expanded too quickly and financial difficulties followed leading to Rapp resigning and Franz Josef Popp a leading industrial tycoon who laid the foundations for the BMW company that is known today.

For the next few years BMW concentrated on the manufacture of aircraft engines until in 1919 with the signing of the Treaty of Versailles restrictions were placed on German companies manufacturing parts for the aero industry, as a result, BMW diversified to manufacture components for the rail industry. 1923 saw BMW finally make their first move into the automotive industry with the introduction of the R32, a motorcycle that would go on to hold motorcycle world speed records throughout the 1930’s.

Buoyed by this success, BMW purchased a small car manufacturer (the Eisenach Vehicle Factory) in 1928 and by the 1930’s had begun production of sports and touring cars. The culmination was the BMW 328 roadster, a car that has been named one of 25 finalists for Car of the Century by a worldwide panel of automotive journalists.

The Second World War ending saw BMW’s main factories being dismantled by the allies and diversification was once again the name of the game, a brief foray into kitchen and garden equipment followed, with the introduction of a new motorcycle in 1948. The 1950’s saw a move back into the car market, although with no marked success, however with a change of direction that saw BMW concentrating on sports sedans and compact touring cars, the 1960’s saw a an increase in sales that meant BMW was beginning to compete with its rival Mercedes Benz. Sales peaked in 1986, but with the collapse of the Berlin Wall a whole new marketplace opened up and BMW capitalised and as a result outsold Mercedes for the first time in 1992.

BMW are now regarded as one of the premium car manufacturers with a combination of outstanding engineering and a fantastic build quality the Bayerische Motoren Werke has come a long way since its humble beginnings all those years ago.

    Greyhound s new low-cost buses, with Wi-Fi #bermuda #travel

    #low cost travel

    Greyhound’s new low-cost buses, with Wi-Fi

    Local and Public Transportation

Attention, fellow cheapskates. Greyhound has launched a low-fare spin-off service, BoltBus, on the popular route between D.C. and N.Y.C. On March 27. BoltBus starts traveling eight times a day. One-way tickets start at $1, plus a 50 cent fee. Round-trips start at $3. As the seats fill up, the prices rise to about $30 to $40 each way, in line with Greyhound’s standard prices on the route.

Fares are non-refundable and have to booked online at up to two hours in advance.

Unlike Greyhound’s vehicles, BoltBus coaches offer free Wi-Fi and seats with 110-volt plugs.

Locations are limited so far. In Washington, D.C. near the Metro Center Station at 11th Street and G Street. In New York City, near Penn Station at 33rd Street and Seventh Avenue and in south Manhattan at 6th Avenue and Canal Street. There’s a one-bag limit for passengers. As noted, eight trips are offered daily.

Passengers use printed boarding passes to board. Each passenger gets a boarding group assignment when they buy their ticket, and each one is boarded roughly in the order in which he or she purchased tickets. Frequent travelers also get seating priority.

I’ll try the service on launch day, March 27, and let you know how it goes.

BoltBus hopes to compete with alternative cheap services, which include: DC2NY (which also offers free Wi-Fi and similar schedules), Washington Deluxe . Vamoose . among others.

Thanks to Paul Brady at Jaunted for the tip.

Gordon Ramsay travels to India in TLC’s new show

MUMBAI: Lifestyle channel TLC is all set to present the culinary discovery of India by Chef Gordon Ramsay in the new series ‘Gordon’s Great Escape’. The series will showcase Gordon travelling in search of Indian flavours, discovering authentic food from the most jaw-dropping locations across the country.

Gordon will explore the diversity of Indian food, starting his journey in the capital Delhi and moving on to exciting locations including Kolkata, Kerala and Northeast India, and ending his journey in bustling Mumbai.

Kicking off on 31 January, the show will air every Saturday at 10 pm on TLC.

As Gordon samples a variety of Indian delicacies, he will immerse himself in local traditions and activities such as bullock racing in Kerala, hunting deer in Nagaland and assisting a master chef in Lucknow to help prepare a wedding feast.

Discovery executive VP, GM South Asia, South East Asia Rahul Johri said, “TLC continues to present the world of ultimate lifestyle experiences to Indian audience with its varied, distinct and quintessential programming. Gordon Ramsay is an iconic host loved by viewers for his unique personality and style. We are delighted to present his first ever culinary expedition in the new series Gordon’s Great Escape on TLC.”

Viewers can watch Ramsay doing what he loves the most, seeking out the best food in India and testing himself in extreme and demanding situations. His appetite for adventure will take him across the country on his ‘great escape’.

Some of Gordon Ramsay’s India culinary experiences include the following:

Northern India: He travels around Northern India to look for more authentic versions of the popular Indian dishes he grew up with. At the end, he has to prove he has learned how to cook some authentic Indian food in front of food experts in New Delhi.

Kolkata: Gordon demonstrates his curiosity about Indian cuisines that are not normally represented in UK restaurants, so he will travel to remote Northeast India to search them out, and will open a food cart in Kolkata for a day to prove he has learned something.

Southern India: He will travel to Southern India to learn more about vegetarian cooking and Indian fish dishes. He will cook Sambhar with a street chef and put on a fancy dinner for the upper crust of Mumbai.

    Elderly Couple Assaulted by Burglars

SRIKAKULAM:  The police arrested a six member gang Thursday, for attempting to burgle a house by threatening the occupants, an elderly couple, with a pistol in the town on November 14. The police recovered the country made pistol from the gang. The arrested persons have been identified as M Mohan Rao, J Ravi Kumar, M Gurunatha Rao, P Ramesh, M Ramayya and B Dhanunjaya Rao.

Revealing the arrests of the accused, Srikakulam deputy superintendent of police K Bhargava Naidu said that the accused broke into the house of retired employee V Chandrabushan Raju at Sayabula Thota area in the town on November 14 and tried to loot valuables after threatening them with the pistol.

Their attempt proved futile as neighbours rushed to the house after Raju shouted for help. However, the gang severely beat the elderly couple before fleeing from the house. During investigation, police came to know that Raju’s son died a few years ago and his daughter-in-law, Santhi, has been staying with her parents after the death of her husband.

However, Santhi’s brother B Dhanunjaya Rao decided to loot Raju’s house. To attempt the offence, he hired some criminals and gained entry into Raju’s house.

However, after the police took them into custody, one of the accused, Ramayya, jumped from the police jeep in a bid to escape and was severely injured. He was admitted to a hospital, the DSP said.

    Business Loan for SME in Malaysia #business #loan, #loan #malaysia, #small

    SME Loans

Need a business loan but have minor CCRIS problem and no guarantor?

Need additional working capital but have no asset or collateral?

We are a business loan consultancy team consisting of ex bankers and lawyers. We assist SME and SMI entrepreneurs to arrange for credit facilities from conventional or islamic banks. Common needs for financing include:

    Loans for Asset Acquisition

Asset acquisition is one of the many strategic ways to expand your business. Some of the available business loan products for asset acquisition include:

    Term Loan
Term loan is for a specific amount that has a specified repayment schedule and a floating interest rate. It is useful for acquiring assets such as land, buildings and vehicles.

    Bridging Facilities
An interim financing (usually one year) to allow the borrower to meet current obligations by providing immediate cash flow pending the arrangement of larger or longer-term financing.

Leasing is a contract by which one party conveys land, building, equipment or machinery to another for a specified time, usually in return for a periodic payment. It enables SME to acquire the usage of physical assets without having to purchase.

    Industrial Hire Purchase
Financing to upgrade or buy machinery and equipment as part of expanding your business capacity without incurring high upfront payment thus freeing up funds for other uses.

Short Term Financing for Working Capital

To run smoothly, your business needs working capital i.e. the cash available for day-to-day operations of an organization. There are various products offered by financial institutions to provide additional liquidity to your business. And these include:

An overdraft is a credit facility loaded to your current account where the bank extends credit to meet working capital needs such as payment of salaries, purchases, utilities and other unplanned expenses. Although overdraft provides flexibility and convenience the interest is high as it is calculated on a daily basis on outstanding balance at the end of each business day.

Should I Try This Amazing New Drug For Multiple Sclerosis: Shots

There’s An Amazing New Drug For Multiple Sclerosis. Should I Try It?

    New multiple sclerosis drug

It wasn’t long ago that there were no treatments for multiple sclerosis.

In the 1970s, some doctors used chemotherapy to treat the degenerative neurological disease. Since then, more than a dozen drugs have been developed or approved, including infusions, oral medications and self-administered shots.

None of these are a magic bullet for a disease that can be disabling and deadly. But now there is a new drug, Ocrevus, that looks like a game-changer. It uses a novel approach to blocking the inflammation that drives the disease and looks as if it’s spectacularly effective. It also costs $65,000 a year.

I have MS. Should I take Ocrevus?

That, I discovered, is not a simple question to answer. But because I’m an MS patient and a science journalist, I was determined to try to figure it out.

In March, the FDA approved Ocrevus (ocrelizumab) for the treatment of relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis, the most common form of the disease. People with RRMS tend to have flare-ups when their symptoms worsen, followed by periods of remission and, in some cases, a full or partial recovery.

In two clinical trials sponsored by the drug’s eventual manufacturer, F. Hoffmann-La Roche, RRMS patients who were given ocrelizumab had about 50 percent fewer relapses and up to 95 percent fewer new lesions on the brain and spinal cord than those who were given Rebif, a common therapy.

MS is an autoimmune disease, meaning the body attacks itself. The body’s nerve endings and the fatty tissue that coats them, called myelin, bear the brunt of the immune system’s attacks. As a result, the central nervous system has difficulty communicating with the nerves, leading to a disease that manifests itself in different ways, such as pain, fatigue, disability and slurred speech.

Historically, treatment of MS has focused on changing the way T cells, a type of white blood cell, decide which “foreign materials” to attack. “That’s why the pathway to B cell therapy took so long,” says Dr. Stephen Hauser, who has studied MS for decades and led two key clinical trials to test Ocrevus. He chairs the department of neurology at the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine.

B cells, which are less numerous than T cells, are a different type of white blood cell involved in fighting infection, and these are the cells that Ocrevus targets. “Now that we look back,” Hauser says, “we know that all of the other therapies work against B cells also. They are not selective for T cells.” The fact that the previous therapies worked, Hauser says, was “fortuitous.”

Ocrevus is also the first FDA-approved treatment to target the more aggressive form of the disease, primary-progressive multiple sclerosis, in which a person’s condition worsens with few if any periods of remission. Another F. Hoffmann-La Roche-sponsored study found that Ocrevus outperformed placebos in patients with PPMS. Though the results were not as good as for relapsing-remitting MS, Hauser says, the drug did slow the progression of disability and myelin lesions.

I have had RRMS for more than 15 years and have taken Rebif, along with Avonex, a drug developed in the 1990s. Now I’m taking Tysabri, a once-a-month infusion that works by keeping certain immune-related cells from crossing the blood-brain barrier.

After talking to Hauser, who called Ocrevus “stunningly effective,” I wanted to know: Why wasn’t I making the move to this new drug? So I called my doctor, Scott Newsome, at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.

The answer was simple: “You’re doing extremely well on your current therapy.”

He mentioned that my latest MRI looked good, with no new areas of demyelination, and although I was complaining about pain in my hands, I’ve been dealing with that for years.

His biggest concern seemed to be safety. Ocrevus is a new drug, and even though all drugs carry a potential risk, he felt the known risks of Tysabri — including a big one that can it increase a person’s chance of contracting a rare, deadly brain infection — are safer than those in a just-approved drug.

Newsome also mentioned the potentially increased risk for cancer, particularly breast cancer, with Ocrevus. Though the rate of cancer in trial participants who had relapsing-remitting MS was not statistically more than is expected in the general population, more trial participants receiving the treatment did develop cancer.

Risk analysis is the overarching theme here. What is the risk that my symptoms will worsen? What is the risk that I’ll die? What is the risk that I might develop antibodies to treatment? Or get cancer?

“Patients need to be informed consumers and be part of the decision-making in my clinic,” Newsome told me. “You really need people to be comfortable with the decision.”

But there are other factors to weigh, too, like convenience. After all, how effective can a treatment be if you can’t actually make it to the doctor?

“There are patients I have seen who’ve said, ‘There is absolutely no way I can do monthly infusions,’ because of time off from work, or maybe they live really far from an infusion center,” Newsome said. For those patients, “we would strongly consider a therapy like ocrelizumab,” which requires just two intravenous infusions per year.

    New multiple sclerosis drug

    Shots – Health News

Multiple Sclerosis Patients Stressed Out By Soaring Drug Costs

And then there is cost. Drugs for MS are expensive, and they’re not getting any cheaper.

According to Ge Bai, an assistant professor in the accounting department at Johns Hopkins University, it is the market that determines the price. The question to ask is: How high a price can the market handle?

Other than that, Bai says, “there’s no limit to what drug companies can charge.”

When she says no limit, she means it. Rebif, the medication against which Ocrevus was tested in patients with RRMS, has an annual price of about $86,400. The therapy I take costs about $78,200.

So, at $65,000, Ocrevus is a steal, right?

Not necessarily. The cost of a drug is not necessarily a harbinger for what a patient will pay. Pharmaceutical benefit managers such as Express Scripts or Caremark negotiate drug prices on behalf of insurance companies, getting a lower price for buying bulk or simply for getting word of the drug out, Bai says.

One drug may have a higher price on paper, but thanks to intermediaries, insurance companies or even special programs directly offered by pharmaceutical companies, it could actually be the cheapest option for a patient.

In the end, choosing the right therapy for a complex medical condition involves a constant back-and-forth between patient and doctor.

“When we see each other, and between visits,” Newsome says — possibly alluding to my late-night questions to him online via MyChart — “We’re always discussing, ‘Is this the right treatment for you? Has something changed?’ That is still paramount when it comes to taking care of you and others.”

So while I won’t be switching to Ocrevus, other patients will. Hauser speaks excitedly about the potential of new B cell-targeting therapies to ultimately wipe out all of the rogue cells that lead to MS symptoms — something that sounds almost like a cure to me.

“The ideal cure would be to identify those cells and vaccinate before it begins,” he says. “Some people would say that a cure would also require that the damage be reversed. So it depends how you define ‘cure.’ “

But, he says, the story of Ocrevus is bigger than MS: “We need stories that show that, although these complex diseases are difficult, you have to support science. That is the way we will get healthier.”

Brandie Michelle Jefferson is a communications manager and freelance reporter who loves a good science story. She’s on Twitter, too: @b_m_jefferson.

Criminal offenses in federal law include offenses related to:

  • Forensic psychology is a fascinating career that combines psychology and the legal system. In general terms, forensic psychologists focus on the application of psychological theory and practice to the criminal, court and corrections systems. Forensic psychologists work with the justice system and members of the court to assist in its functioning. The application of many legal concepts requires understanding psychological principles, such as state of mind, memory and perception.

Due to the unique and specialized nature of forensic psychology, a graduate education is a necessity. Here’s a discussion on what forensic psychologists do, what it takes to become one and how to succeed as a forensic psychologist professional.

What Does a Forensic Psychologist Do?

A forensic psychologist helps facilitate the legal process by providing psychology expertise to various individuals in the legal system. Their understanding and explanations of certain aspects of psychological health can help move along court cases, inform juries, determine the reasons behind crimes being committed, and otherwise play an integral role in the system.

Forensic psychologists provide advice to trial counsel, evaluate litigating parties and witnesses on behalf of judges or attorneys, and conduct research, such as figuring out why juries vote a particular way or why eyewitness testimony can be unreliable. A forensic psychologist might serve as an expert witness to explain a complex psychological concept to the jury, provide consulting advice to an attorney about a person’s state of mind or evaluate a defendant to determine whether they are competent to stand trial.

Beyond the court system, forensic psychologists are often employed in jails and prisons, providing rehabilitative treatment and education to inmates in preparation for their release and return to the outside world. Forensic psychology professionals are also sometimes hired by police departments as consultants and profilers during criminal investigations. Finally, forensic psychologists conduct research on criminal behavior and the development of effective clinical treatments.

Forensic Psychologist Salaries Across the US

What forensic psychologists can expect to make depends on many factors, including their education, legal experience, courtroom savvy and geographic location. This map represents typical salaries forensic psychologists can expect to make based on what state they’re working in.
