When I worked full time with a big psychic company I had 90% of my clients coming through a free to call customer service operator but many regulars sometime prefered to call on my premium line extension if they just want a quick psychic question answered and they didn’t need the full ten or twenty minutes, the norm on a credit card line.

    The dodgy psychic hotlines ONLY have premium numbers. They are very difficult to contact and if you take on their telephone psychic jobs you will find they will push you to stretch the calls past certain minimums or they withhold paying you. Don’t waste your time. If you are a good psychic, stick with good psychic companies. Call the customer service number and ask for an application to become one of their readers. They may put you on a waiting list if they have a full quota of readers. But that’s OK; apply to a few more telephone psychic jobs until you click in with the right one. You will be tested and appraised then taken on if all is well. You will in most cases be self employed and that means you handle your own taxes.

    You will also be contracted to work with only the one company. That’s good ethical practice. Although I will show you how to set up a second and independent line to your psychic business, under no circumstances EVER bring a client of one company over to another or to yourself. It’s not ethical and most likely not allowed if you read the small print of the contract you will sign.

    Mobile Phone Distributors – What You Need To Know!

    Mobile phone distributors are a critical part of a prepaid wireless provider’s success! Are you interested in becoming a cell phone distributor? Here you’ll learn about what it takes to be a wireless master agent, how it works, the technology involved, and more! The fact is that the world of mobile phone distributors is fascinating, and can be the life blood of many wireless carriers.

    What are cell phone distributors?
    First, let’s define what exactly a distributor is and does. Different people will have different definitions and describe various scopes of responsibility, however, generally speaking the following points are very consistent. Having worked directly with prepaid wireless distributors for many years, I feel comfortable that the following information will help you get jump-started on becoming knowledgeable!

    • Distributors are often referred to as master agents. This is because they are at the top of the so-called distribution food chain. What that means is that while a distributor or master agent may sometimes sell phones and airtime directly to customers, they typically mostly sell wholesale to dealers.
    • In turn, dealers have their own stores, but also sell wholesale to smaller stores. Sometimes there is even a sub-dealer level between the dealer and the store level.
    • A cell phone distributor will buy phones and airtime discounted directly from prepaid wireless carriers. They will then mark up the price and sell it down to the next level.
    • Mobile phone distributors can have relationships with dozens, hundreds, or even thousands of stores beneath them. The layers under them are often referred to as their sub-distribution. Depending on the size, reputation, and policies of a prepaid wireless carrier, some wireless distributors won’t be able to work directly with a prepaid carrier. In other words, as a wireless distributor, you could have a direct relationship with a prepaid carrier, or you may have to work as a sub-distributor under another larger master agent who is working directly with the carrier.

    What’s the best level?
    This can become a very personal decision. Are you the type of person who wants to run a large distribution network, and deal with the operations, collections, and warehousing that comes along with that? Or are you the type of person who enjoys working day to day directly with the customer? The answer will likely be a combination of what you enjoy, as well as what are your strengths and capabilities.

    There’s no doubt about it that the higher you are on the mobile phone distributor food chain, the more money you’ll make, and the faster you’ll make that money. The simple reason is because once you have a network of sub-distributors and stores, you’ll be able to sell hundreds, or even thousands of phones in one deal, versus the bottom of the chain, where you’ll be selling one phone at a time to the customer, which practically speaking, will simply take more time. But for that apparent ease, you’ll have more overall risk.

    Consider if you were to buy 10,000 phones from a prepaid carrier. If you don’t have the operations in place to receive and ship out those phones in an efficient manner, it could take you some time before you get the products in the hands of those who will actually be selling them. And that doesn’t include the cost of paying for the phone (or topup) inventory, and the cost to store it. Many prepaid carriers require that distributors prepay for inventory. Some will give you payment terms (ex. net 10 days or 30 days), however, that is becoming less common these days. Even with payment terms, you’ll still need to get the product out, and get paid in time to pay the carrier for the inventory if you want to minimize your cash flow outlay to support your inventory.

    As a side note, I’ve seen more than a few mobile phone distributors selling millions upon millions of dollars of phones and airline who have been extremely cash-strapped, and on the brink of bankruptcy! One operational issue, or trouble collecting money from your sub-distribution, and you’re toast! But don’t let that scare you off. Those issues really come down to poor management, and perhaps greed, trying to grow their business too quickly. If you’re wise, you should be able to profitably (and safely!) build your business without being on the edge of financial disaster.

    What do you need to become a wireless distributor?

    • Relationships – You’ll need to have relationships with sub-dealers and/or stores. In my opinion this is the most difficult part. Building relationships with other dealers or stores is not easy. It takes a certain kind of person to seek out such opportunities and to sell your services. Due to the amazing potential to make a lot of money in the prepaid wireless distribution business, competition is fierce! You can target a specific neighborhood, type of mom and pop store, small convenience store, etc. Think about where people might want to buy a phone or topup their prepaid wireless account. Also consider what unique value you can add. Do you have special knowledge, insight, or existing relationships with a specific type of community? This should be considered a critical success factor, and will largely determine whether you should be a master cell phone distributor at the top of the chain, a smaller one, or somewhere in the middle. There’s really no “wrong” place to be. Wherever you fit in, and can apply your passion, you’ll have a chance to succeed!
    • Access to Technology – Depending on where you are on the food chain, you’ll need to have technology to process airtime sales. Usually the master cell phone distributor will provide access to technology to partners below them, so lets assume you’re at the top for the moment. You’ll need to partner with a Technology Service Provider (TSP). TSPs also have relationships with prepaid wireless carriers. The larger ones will have direct relationships, while the smaller ones will have indirect relationships. The closer they are to being direct, the more money you’ll likely be able to make (due to higher available margins). There are a number of technologies currently available, and depending on the dealers/stores that are selling your prepaid products, you may need one or all of these:
      • POS Terminals – These are Point Of Sale Terminals that typically look like credit card terminals. They can be used to sell electronic PINs (ePINs) or to perform PIN-less Real Time Replenishment (RTR) transactions.
      • Web Terminals – These are secure websites that provide the same products as do POS terminals, but can be accessed via the Internet, without the need for special hardware or equipment. Internet access, however, IS required.
      • Hot Cards – This product has been phased out of the market. These require minimal or no technology, and can often be purchased directly from the carrier or master distributors. The operational and fraud risks around this product lead carriers to get rid of it; I keep it here as a historical reference, and you may encounter people who talk about it even to this day.

    To read about these technologies in detail, visit the Point Of Sale Technology page. As a cell phone distributor you’ll need to get a very good understanding of these replenishment technologies so you can sell your services to dealers and/or stores. You may only need one of them or all of them. Remember that you need to keep in mind the needs of YOUR customers (dealers and/or stores), as well as what the end users (wireless customers) need and prefer. Believe it or not, these are not always the same things!
    Special Note: Depending on how large you are, as well as your relationship with your TSP(s) and sub-distribution, you may be able to get these technologies from free, you may have to buy them outright (ex. terminals), or you may be able to lease them. Depending on where your business lies in the food chain, you may be able to pass any costs down to your sub-distribution.

    • Money – You’ll need to either have cash on hand, or access to money from banks or investors. You’ll need this money to pay for technology, warehousing, staff, and of course, prepaid phones and prepaid airtime. Although people tend to worry the most about getting money, I put it last because it really is the easiest part of the equation! If you have good relationships and access to technology, you’re well on your way to building a successful cell phone distributor business, and finding the money will be the easiest part!

    The Top 10 Types of Phone Dialer and Automated Dialing Technology

    As part of the Sales Technology Landscape, we created a category for Dialing as we believe this is an emerging and important category of technology that offers significant productivity gains to salespeople.

    There are a number of different phone dialer vendors and dialing technologies available today, so we put together a brief review of the main types. We recently completed an article on the Top 15 Considerations when selecting a Phone Dialer that you may want to check out as part of this process. The focus of this review is dialing technologies that assist the sales function rather than a contact-center, support or customer care function.

    Dialing Technology

    1. Click-to-Call(-Me)

    This term has been used interchangeably with Click-to-Dial. Today it is more commonly used today to describe a feature that requests a callback from a agent, or opens a chat window, when a person is on a website. Example vendors include Vocalocity, Ring CentralВ and Synclio.

    2. Click-to-Dial

    This is an outbound call that is initiated by a single mouse-click on a phone number field in a system. This functionality is commonly enabled in CRM systems and email systems and allows the user to make a call without dialing the number.В Example vendors include Skype, GoogleVoice,В Vocalocity and DATELВ and Cisco.

    3. Preview Dialer

    A preview dialer makes sequential dials from a contact list and allows the agent to ‘preview’ the contact record prior to the call, and decide if they wish to proceed with a call or move to the next contact in the list. Calls are made sequentially and the agents do not know who has answered the call. See Power Dialer for example vendors.

    4. Power Dialer

    A power dialer is the same as a preview dialer, where the calls are initiated by the users and not made until an agent is available. This term is more commonly used in B2B environments. Example vendors include, CallFire and Five9.

    5. Progressive Dialer

    A progressive dialer is similar to a preview dialer, but the system passes the call information to the agent at the same time the call is placed. The agent has a few seconds to view the call information, but is not in control of the calls and cannot typically stop the call process.В Calls are made sequentially and assigned to specific agents. The agents do not know who has answered the call.В Example vendors include VanillaSoft and Leads360.

    6. Predictive Dialer

    A predictive dialer makes a large number of calls in parallel and then routes the live call answers to the next available agent. The latency and abandonment rates of predictive dialers may result in an extended delay when the contact answers a call, or in some cases no agent being available. TheВ agents do not know who has answered the call.В Example vendors include Voicent, CallFireВ and Five9.

    7. Live Conversation Automation

    Live Conversation Automation (LCA) combines a phone dialer withВ live agents and rapid call-transfer capabilities to deliver guaranteed live conversations to the Caller. In a one-hour period Callers typically experience 5-8 live conversations with targeted contacts.В LCA is designed for B2B environments and has the ability to differentiate and navigate Dial-By-Name Directories, operators and voicemail systems. When an agent makes a positive identification of a targeted contact, the call is transfered without noticeable delay to the Caller or contact. The agent does not speak to the contact in this process. Example vendors include ConnectAndSellВ andВ ConnectLeader.

    8. Voice Broadcasting, also Guided Voicemail

    A guided voicemail system, also called voicemail broadcasting, allows you to send thousands of voicemails at one time. These services are used when there is no requirement to speak directly to the recipient. Typical uses cases include announcements (invitations, warnings/alerts, new products, etc) and reminders (impending event, renewal date coming due, etc). Vendors use humanВ agents to navigate through operators, gatekeepers and Dial-By-Name directories to guide your voicemail to the target contactsВ voice mailbox.В Example vendors include BoxPilot, Voice BroadcastingВ and CallFire.

    9. Auto-Dialer

    An auto-dialer is used in B2C applications and is a computer that automatically dials a phone number on a list, listens for the correct tone, and then plays a pre-recorded message to a voicemail system. Auto-dialers are primarily used to to leave pre-recorded messages on voicemail systems in residences, and do not have the ability to navigate Dial-By-Name directories or gatekeepers.В Example vendors includeВ Voice2PhoneВ andВ VoiceShot.

    10. Inbound Call Routing, alsoВ Automated Call Distribution (ACD)

    The ability to route an inbound call to a salesperson quickly and accurately is critical to avoid missed opportunities. ACD is a standard feature of mostВ PBXВ systems.

    These systems either work through the use of line-hunting, Caller-ID routing or burst-calling all salespeople telephone lines simultaneously.В Some systems use the Caller-ID of the inbound call to route the call to the agent or salesperson assigned to that specific number if it exists in the database. If the call is from an unknown telephone number a new record is created in the CRM system and assigned to a salesperson based on area code, or similar rules.

    Some systems allow several salespeople to be called simultaneously so that the inbound call is answered in the shortest possible time.

    Motorola’s Moto E Android prepaid smartphone is a great option for users of Tracfone’s network. Multitasking adds a little more of a challenge (apps take slightly longer to load), but for a very low price point, tradeoffs are bound to exist. Additionally, Motorola includes a five-megapixel camera that offers average quality, but works in a pinch.

    LG’s Phoenix 2 is a surprisingly attractive and stylish smartphone with an eight-megapixel rear camera and five-megapixel front camera. The rear camera offers surprisingly good color reproduction and accuracy. Low-light shots are a little more difficult, but that’s something to be expected with an introductory smartphone offering. Still, there s the inclusion of 720p video recording at 30fps and a good level of detail with rear-camera photography.

    The sturdy design feels superb in the hand without feeling too plasticky or cheap like any number of prepaid devices in a similar price range. The five-inch 1280 x 720 LCD offers a display that’s sharper than most entry-level devices. Operating on AT T’s prepaid LTE network, there’s full support for all of AT T’s suites and offerings available to GoPhone devices. Additionally, there’s support for Bluetooth 4.1, a 1.3GHz quad-core processor and 1.5GB of RAM, which delivers better-than-average performance.

    The Phoenix 2 falters a little on battery life (it lasts just around four hours), which is likely due in part to the more demanding LTE data. The good news is the device offers removable batteries, so carrying a spare is a possibility.

    What Are Online Based or Distance Education classes?

    Online-based courses, also called Distance Education classes, may take two different forms:

    Online classes are taken exclusively over the Internet. Please note that, while some online courses provide all instructional content over the Internet, others may require some on-campus meetings. Please see the course schedule or WebAdvisor for more information.

    Hybrid classes meet both on campus and online. Think of them as a combination or blending of online classes and face-to-face classes.

    In a hybrid class, you will attend meetings on campus during the dates and times listed in the schedule of classes. Since the on-campus portion of hybrid classes could take place at any of our three colleges (Riverside City, Norco or Moreno Valley), hybrid classes are listed in the schedule by the college where the on-campus meetings will take place.

    I haven’t be able to find another program out there that will dial selected text via your modem. This program does this well among other features that I am not using.

    I replaced my hard drive and the files that I had saved from my original installation did not work. I asked for a new registration file, which did not work. Then, after charging me an additional $10, I was sent yet another registration file that worked. I and others have reported that he blames his customers for not following his directions correctly. Apparently, the developer is a very busy man and can’t be bothered helping his paying customers without charging them more for the support.

    I wish that someone would develop an application to compete with this guy. The program works well and the cost is very reasonable, but I prefer to support businesses that appreciate their customers and treat them respectfully. Check out Softpedia for more reviews.

    I don’t make full use of its features as others may, but it’s the only game around that allows me to select a phone number and dial it with a mouse button click. A real lifesaver for those who spend a lot of time on the phone.

    I’ve had to reinstall the software two times now when I’ve had hardware failures on my system and I’ve needed to solicit the support/author for new license/key gen file but other than that (a minor inconvenience) it works no problem.

    Again, there isn’t another product that does what this does. I’ve looked and tried everything out there. It’s quick, painless and just works.

    Program Stop Working ERROR when I first started it

    Error out immediately when I started it. Don’t even try it if you are using Enterprise Vista.

    I welcome help from the maker because it’s been hard to find a program that will allow me to dial any number on any window by just doing a right click on it.

    There is nothing wrong with the software. It runs fine in Vista and Windows 7 environment.

    How to Save a Wet Cell Phone

    This instructable will cover two ways that can help you repair a “wet” phone. As water damage varies from case to case, there is no guarantees that this will work in your case, but it is worth a try!

    It is important to know that these procedures will NOT void warranty. However, if your phone has been water damaged, there is a large chance your warranty is already void! On newer phones, there is usually a sticker in the battery bay that is used to tell the manufacturer when a phone has been “water damaged” which allows the manufacturer to then cancel the warranty. This sticker is usually round in shape, and starts off white when it is not wet. Although, I think my samsung a900M started with brown and went to black.

    If neither of these methods work, and your sticker is still it’s original color, try to have your phone serviced under warranty.

    CAUTION: Before attempting ANY method in this instructable, remove the battery, battery door, and SIM card if applicable, and place them in a safe location!

    DISCLAIMER: I am not responsible for any damages to your phone as a result of you attempting any of these methods, do so at your own risk.

    Step 1: Understanding the Problem

    When your phone got wet, it most likely got some moisture trapped inside it. This moisture causes the phone to behave very funny, and possibly not even power up.
    This is due to the conductivity of water (It’s ability to have electrical current pass through it.) This moisture can bridge certain connections in your phone, causing these behaviors.

    Even though your phone may behave fine at first, it is better to dry the phone before use anyways, as the water that remains inside can be moved around, and cause issues later.

    So what to remember, is that after exposing your phone to moisture, you want to nullify the moisture inside.

    Step 2: Prepping the Phone for “repair”

    As we discussed in the last step, we want to make the water either dry up, or we can use a “Neutralizer” technique that allows it to become not as conductive.

    The first thing we need to do is remove the battery and battery door and place them in a safe spot. This is because the phone can air out better without the battery, we don’t want to damage the battery, and we also reduce the amount of live circuits that the water can short out.

    Step 3: Method One: Heat It Up!

    I live in Arizona, and here in the sunny state of AZ, we have an abundance of swimming pools. My phone has gone for a swim many times in the past few weeks, and this method was tried and proved each time.

    Fortunately, here in Arizona, I can take off the battery and leave the phone in the sun, on a towel to prevent heat damage from surface contact, for about 20 minutes and it’s good to go! Your timing may vary depending on how hot the sun is, but this method is my preferred.

    Pretty simple, remove the battery door and battery, place them inside, place a rag out in the sun and put the rest of the phone on that. Depending on how hot of a day it is, bring the phone inside for a bit if it ever gets hot to the touch (overheating can damage LCD screens.)

    Step 4: Method 2: Freeze It!

    The second method consists of freezing the water inside the phone. This is by far my favorite method if your outside temperature does not go over 80 F.

    Again, we start by taking out the battery.
    Place the phone on two or three layers of paper towel to prevent frost damage.
    Leave it in the freezer for about 15-20 minutes and take it out to test it, if it still doesn’t work, leave it out for about 5 to 10 minutes then try again. Electrical components are fairly tolerant to cold, however depending on your screen, it is best to play it safe and just leave it out of the freezer for a bit to keep from damaging it. I haven’t researched LCD or Plasma screens, so if anyone knows what temperatures they hold up to, let us know!

    That’s cool, but why does it work?

    Freezing the phone works a little differently on a technical level than heating it up does.
    When the water molecules inside become Ice or frost, they are less conductive (I believe due to the spacing of molecules?) thus preventing the phone from “shorting out.”

    This method my also lead to the problem acting up again as the phone thaws, or a worse problem acting up as the phone thaws and the water moves to a different spot.
    It is also of note, that some electronic components are ‘surface mounted’, which results in tiny space between the component and the circuit board it self. This means that if water manages to get underneath the components and is then frozen, it can expand and cause further issues. However, in my opinion, the possibility of water getting under there with the phone only being submerged for a little while, is pretty slim.

    Step 5: Unverified Methods

    The following are methods that I have not verified myself. Next time my phone gets wet, I’ll try some out!

    1: The oven
    It is said that placing the phone in the oven for a few hours at about 125 F. will solve the problem. This method sounds likely, but I would recommend taking it out now and then to test it and let it cool! And don’t forget to remove the battery, cover, and SIM card!

    User Carolradtech has tried this method, and said the following.
    I successfully baked my wet cell phone on 125 for 40 minutes and the phone is now fixed. the unverified baking method is now verified.

    2: Rice
    It has also been reported that placing the phone in a bowl of rice while putting it in the sun allows the moisture to absorb faster. As the water evaporates into steam, the dry rice can absorb it rather than have it re-condense elsewhere inside the phone.

    3: Silica!
    This one is similar to the rice method, it just utilizes a better drying agent. Ya know those little packets that come in jerky, new shoes, purses, backpacks, whatever, that say “DO NOT EAT” all over them? The contain little balls of a chemical called “silica.” Place these in a bag with the phone, and toss it in the sun! This is potentially the best method I have heard of. It is also of note that craft shops sell silica as a flower drying agent.

    4: Give it booze!
    Well not exactly. Isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol) is non-conductive. It is said that if you get some, put it in a cup or a bucket, and swirl the phone around in there, it will rinse out the water and likely even clean some dust deposits! This will prevent any further “bridging” of connections as it is non-conductive, and alcohol evaporates super fast.
    A few words of caution: I would try this only with the bottom half of your phone if you have a flip-phone, as I am not sure how the screen will react. Also, I wouldn’t attempt it with anything less than 91% isopropyl.

    Last but not least..
    5: Open it up and air dry!
    This is the best method hands down, but it will sacrifice any sort of warranty you had. I do NOT recommend this method unless you are entirely comfortable with it.

    Step 6: Rrport Your Success/failure!

    Now your phone hopefully functions as good as new! Let us all know how it worked (or didn’t) and keep your information-lifeline away from swimming pools!

    Avaya offers a robust VoIP phone system for small businesses that can be configured specifically for each business. The system we researched in depth was the Office IP platform. This system is designed for businesses with five to 3,000 users.

    The Office IP platform can be deployed as an on-premises system or a cloud-hosted solution. Both options have same functionality; however, with the on-premises system, your IT staff is responsible for maintaining it and making any upgrades when necessary. With the cloud-hosted system, Avaya handles all of the maintenance and upgrades.

    A nice aspect of the on-premises system is that businesses can configure it for their specific needs. Each system starts with the main platform, a two-rack unit, and then businesses can pick and choose from the different add-ons. Add-ons can include mobility options and call center services. This allows your business to build a system that has exactly what it needs. As a business grows, the equipment can easily add storage, phone lines and new capabilities.

    The choice between an on-premises and a cloud-based system is part of what makes Avaya a great option for enterprise businesses and businesses with multiple locations. Since larger businesses have varying needs, having options on how they deploy their phone systems is a huge plus for many organizations.

    Avaya is also an enticing option for enterprises because of the large number of employees that can use the service. Businesses that have more employees than the Office IP platform supports can deploy Avaya’s Aura platform. This platform can serve up to 250,000 workers, including 2,500 on a single server.

    For businesses operating multiple offices or stores, the IP Office platform can easily expand to work in 150 different locations. Avaya’s phone system allows businesses to manage each location from a single browser-based interface. In addition, businesses using IP phones can automatically switch their service to one of the other locations should the office they are working in lose power. This helps ensure continuous operation.

    Overall, Avaya’s business phone systems offer more features and tools than most of its competitors. In total, the system is available in five editions Basic, Essential, Preferred, Server and Select that differ in the number of included features.

    Among the features available are automated attendants, caller ID, automatic callback, the ability to put calls on hold, on-hold music, the option to transfer calls and toggle between multiple calls at one time, and voicemail and voicemail-to-email. Altogether, Avaya offers more than 600 features and tools.

    One module businesses can add to the system is the Avaya Communicator. This allows employees to use their mobile devices or computers to talk on their business lines, make video calls and instant-message with co-workers. A presence feature indicates who is online and available for a meeting.

    In addition to choosing the edition with the features it needs, your business can designate which employees have access to which features. Each employee is designated as a basic user, office worker or power user.

    Basic users can make and receive calls and have access to most of the standard features, such as the ability to put calls on hold and transfer calls. The office worker designation allows employees to also use the visual voicemail tool, access the corporate directory, and integrate their systems with Microsoft Office and Salesforce.

    Power users have total control of the system. This allows them to make and receive calls on their mobile devices over cellular, Wi-Fi, 3G and 4G connections. They can also schedule conference calls and turn their home phones into their office phones.

    In addition to its regular phone system features, the Avaya contact center module offers features and tools for businesses with a call center. Among them are the ability for customers to connect with businesses via the phone, email and web chat.

    It also has skills-based call routing, interactive voice recordings, call recording, integrations with customer relationship management software, and access to real-time and historical reports. The contact center services also let businesses make telemarketing and outbound campaign calls.

    Since Avaya’s phone systems are so customized, pricing is often different for each business. Additionally, Avaya works with local resellers to sell and install the systems, which can affect pricing.

    The prices that one of Avaya’s local resellers quoted to us were based on a business with 100 total employees and 25 call center seats. For the on-premises system we were looking at, which included the mobility, conference calling and upgraded voicemail modules, the one-time costs were $500 per station. That included basic phones and installation. The call center service had additional one-time costs of $1,200 per user. The prices, however, do not include the monthly cost of bringing a dial tone into the system either via PRI circuits or SPI trunking.

    The cloud-hosted system cost $25 to $30 per user per month. That included 500 calling minutes per station. Call center services cost an additional $36 per month per user. However, there is an additional $400 charge per station for phones and installation.

    Since the pricing we were quoted was for our specific requirement and by a reseller in our area, the costs of the system for your business would be different. Knowing that Avaya offers such a wide range of system options, we would encourage all businesses to contact Avaya, or a local reseller, early on in their research process to get specific pricing for their exact needs.

    While some phone system providers handle all of their sales and support in-house, others, like Avaya, work with resellers in local communities. These resellers work with businesses individually to design and price out packages that best fit their needs. They also handle the installation, training and some support moving forward.

    During our research, we first contacted Avaya to learn more about the system. After giving us some basic details, the Avaya representative we spoke with asked for our contact information and said a local reseller in our area would reach out to us to provide more specifics and pricing details.

    While we were initially discouraged that we couldn’t learn more during that initial call, we were pleased when we heard back from the local reseller that same day. The reseller we spoke with was extremely knowledgeable about the Avaya system and provided us with more than enough detail.

    In addition, he followed up by emailing us a 90-page document that described the system in even more detail. The reseller also didn’t hesitate to share pricing information with us.

    While our interactions with the local reseller left us very comfortable with the service his company would provide, we can’t guarantee that Avaya resellers in all communities would offer this same level of support.

    Similarly with pricing, it is important to spend some time talking with the reseller Avaya refers you to in order to get an idea of what it would be like to work with them. Since getting the right phone system is such a big decision, businesses should make sure the reseller they are working with is not only going to provide a system that meets all of their needs, but is doing so for a fair price.

    Avaya does handle some support issues itself. If users have a problem, the company encourages them to file a help ticket online or launch a live chat session to get assistance.
