Planning and Preparation are Essential for Estes Park Visits

Travel planner

No matter what the season, visits to the welcoming wilderness of Rocky Mountain National Park require planning and preparation. A few tips:

Most visitors arrive during the summer months. Expect lots of company on roads, along popular trails and in parking areas, especially between Memorial Day and Labor Day, when camping reservations inside the park and lodging reservations outside the park are imperative. If you want to avoid the crowds go into the park early and late in the day.

Don t push your physical limits in this region located above 8,000 feet. Altitude sickness symptoms include shortness of breath, fatigue, dizziness, nausea, rapid heartbeat and insomnia. If symptoms persist, go to lower elevations. The #1 cause of Altitude sickness is dehydration.

Keeping well-hydrated is very important while visiting the park, but there is limited drinking water available. Please bring your own reusable water containers and refill them at park visitor centers.

For further information, visit the park s official website at http://www.nps.gov/romoor call the Rocky Mountain National Park Information Office 970-586-1206.

RTA Trip Planner | RTA, CTA, Metra, Pace, Driving and Biking Directions | Better Directions, Better Trip Planner.

Did You Know?

If one in 10 Americans regularly used transit, U.S. reliance on foreign oil could decline by more than 40%, or nearly the amount of oil imported from Saudi Arabia each year.

Help

About the Chicago Trip Planner

The goroo Chicago Trip Planner provides you with step-by-step directions to reach your destination in the Chicago region using buses and trains or by driving, biking, and walking. Just tell us where you’re starting and where you’re going, and we’ll make sure we take you there!

Your customized Chicago trip planner itinerary will show you:

  • which bus or train to catch
  • when and where to board
  • when and where to transfer, if necessary
  • how much fare is required
  • walking directions to and from your stop(s)
  • driving, biking, and walking directions to and from your destinations
  • visual maps of your trip

Itineraries, directions, and maps are based on information supplied to the RTA by its public transit operators: the CTA, Metra, and Pace. Schedule and route information is based on the latest timetables available and is subject to change without notice. Service may be affected by traffic, construction, accidents, or weather conditions.

Entering a Location

You can enter a location into the goroo trip planner in four formats: a street address, intersection, location of a bus stop or train station, or a landmark.

When entering street addresses, type in the complete address as much as possible including the street directions (N, S, E, W), street suffix (Rd, Street, Ave, etc.), and the city location (e.g. 175 W Jackson Blvd, Chicago).

If you are entering an intersection you must separate the street names by a comma (Addison, Clark), by “and” (Addison and Clark), or by the symbol ” ” (Addison Clark). If your intersection is not recognized, try including the type of street such as, Green Bay Road or Torrence Avenue.

To enter a landmark, simply type the landmark name, such as Navy Pier or Wrigley Field.

If the Trip Planner finds more than one location that matches your request, or if there is an error in the input, you will be presented a list of choices to select from.

Setting the Timing of Your Trip

The current date and time are automatically filled in when you visit the goroo Trip Planner page. You can plan a trip up to two weeks in advance.

I want to leave on: If you are ready to take your trip now use this option and choose a time.

I want to arrive on: If you would like to arrive at your destination at a specific time, use this option and choose a time.

Additional Preferences

The goroo Chicago Region Trip Planner can build an itinerary that suits your needs.

You can decide if you want a trip that uses only buses, only trains, or both trains and buses or driving, biking, and walking. The default is both trains and buses.

You can indicate the maximum distance you would like to walk. The goroo Trip Planner defaults to an allowable walking distance of 1/2 mile. You may adjust this to 1/4 mile, 3/4 mile, 1 mile, 2 miles, or 3 miles.

You can also decide if you want a trip that is quickest, is the cheapest, has the fewest transfers possible, or has the least amount of walking. The goroo Trip Planner defaults to the quickest trip.

You can also indicate if you require accessible services such as a lift, a ramp, an elevator, or an accessible station.

Plan Your Trip

After you enter the relevant information, click on the “Take Me There!” button. Please wait a few seconds while the goroo Trip Planner finds your starting point and destination, looks for routing alternatives, and compiles itineraries and maps for you.

Results Page

The goroo Trip Planner will display up to six trips in tabular format. For each trip option, you can view detailed driving, biking, or walking directions to and between stops (in case you need to transfer).

You can also plan your return trip by using the “Reverse Directions” feature. For your convenience, you can also change your trip preferences directly from this page.

From this page, you can print or email trip itineraries, directions, or maps.

Driving Directions

The goroo Chicago Trip Planner promotes the cleanest, most sustainable transportation method, which typically means utilizing public transit over driving. However, we provide driving directions, maps and driving times as part of the service offering, because we understand that there are times when public transit does not fit in conveniently to your travel plans. On the results page, you can compare the time of travel, routes and your carbon footprint when taking public transit versus driving. We hope this information will help you make environmentally smart decisions in planning your travel.

Uncertain Location Page

If the goroo Trip Planner is not able to exactly match your starting point or destination with a location in its database, you will see a page with the heading “Get Directions Results Page” You will be told which location was not completely recognized, and you’ll be asked to select from a list of possible options.

To make your selection, select your choice by clicking on the radio button and click on the “Continue” button.

If none of the choices reflect your location, use the browser’s “Back” button to return to the main Trip Planner page, and alter your entry. Be sure to check your spelling and verify that you have followed any tips mentioned in the sections above.

If You Are Still Having Trouble Planning Your Trip

To create a goroo Trip Planner itinerary over the phone, dial 836-7000 from any area code in our service area. If you are calling from outside the RTA service area, dial 312-836-7000.

Road Trip Planner with Stops: Tools – Tips for a Perfect

#planning a trip
#

Route

The first step is the fun one: selecting the route. To do so, decide what s most important to you: distance, destination, or budget. Once you know this, you can begin researching and building out the rest of your plans.

When in the planning stage, Roadtrippers  will be your best friend! Founded by two fellow wanderlusters, this web and mobile service provides a seemingly endless database of inspiration. Explore tested routes, or plan your own and discover the variety of interest points that can be found along your newly blazed trail.

From culture to campsites and nature to nightclubs, Roadtrippers will help you plan a trip tailored to your travel style. It’ll also help you budget by providing cost estimates for the gas require for the selected trip.

Make sure your route is broken down into doable driving segments both to and from your final destination. Your plan should also include a list of attractions you want to see along the way. The more you have on the list the better, but be prepared to skip a few. You never know what will happen on the open road. Being flexible is key.

Lodging

Once you know where you’re going, you’ll need to decide where to stay.

If your road trip is all about the great outdoors and you plan on camping, visit recreation.gov to find and book campsites on your route.

Prefer more modern accommodations? Priceline. Hotels.com. Hotwire. Expedia. or any one of your preferred hotel booking sites can help you book a hotel at each check point along your route.

Or, check out AirBnb for a more unique lodging selection.

Appify

You’ve heard it, you’ve probably said it, and we all know it’s true: “there’s an app for everything.” And as a matter of fact, there’s quite a few to aid in your road trip success. Here are the ones we suggest downloading before you go:

TripIt . Yeah, so this might be a shameless plug, but we can actually help! You’ve already selected and booked your lodging and attractions, so let us automagically create an itinerary for you. That way you can find all your plans in one place and you won’t have to dig through all your email to find times, locations, and confirmation numbers. TripIt will also automatically generate the best route between stops with turn by turn driving directions and Google Maps. It s perfect if you re looking for a road trip planner with stops.

Along The Way : Whether you’re in need of a bathroom, caffeine fix, retail therapy, or just about anything else, Along The Way can help you locate whatever you’re looking for without getting off track.

Gasbuddy : Unfortunately, you’ll have to frequent the gas stations on your road trip, which makes this app essential. Gasbuddy provides a crowd-sourced list of gas prices to help you find the best deal near you.

Spotify : Every road trip needs good jams and lots of them! Although the free version of this service is awesome, it’ll definitely be worth your money to upgrade to premium for your road trip. For just $9.99 a month you have access to any song at anytime … even when you re offline.

AAA : Although we suggest you check out your car before leaving, you never know what can happen out there on the road. With this app, you can contact roadside assistance and help them locate you. You can also discover AAA discount locations, Diamond-rated hotels, restaurants, and attractions.

Wi-Fi Finder : Whether you need to post to Facebook, Facetime mom, or email your boss, Wi-Fi Finder will help you stay connected by locating both free and paid Wi-Fi spots.

Documentation

On your road trip you’re going to see some breathtaking sights and make some incredible memories, so documentation will be key.

If you’re into the visuals, snapping pics on your phone is a must. Step up your editing game with VSCO Cam ; this will help your pictures come to life and look at least half as beautiful as in real life. Then your photo will be ready to share on Instagram. Also, don’t forget to tag your pictures with #TripItPic to share your travels and have a chance to be featured on our page .

For your videos, you can use Magisto to automatically create and edit amazing videos, complete with music and effects.

Evernote is yet another great documentation tool. Write down everything you love and learn along the way, and add photos to create the ultimate travel journal.

Any other road trip tips? Share them below! Happy travels!

Since 2009, Custom College Visits has been privileged to assist teens and families from around the world with their college tours.

Summer college tours can be particularly challenging for parents or teens to organize.

Call us +1 (650) 931-4515 or (800) 930-1701 for a free consultation.

Please scroll down to read what parents say about our college road trip itineraries.

“A friend who is a maven in finding outstanding resources, recommended Janice and Custom College Visits as we began the daunting college selection process. We worked with Janice on two fronts; to help create a list of colleges and to set-up meaningful colleges visits. The college visits were also a lot of fun for us as a family and very informative on so many levels. More importantly Janice helped make the college selection process manageable, not so daunting after all, and we felt no stone was left unturned in this important decision.

Tracy P. Parent of a New York City high school Senior

Thank you so much for planning such a wondrous experience for our son. The careful attention to detail was evident at every turn. Custom College Visits planning effort provided an appropriate path of discovery for our son and for us.

Michael C. New Jersey parent of a high school Junior

Hi Janice, Our trip was a thoroughly enjoyable family adventure! Thank you so much for the unique opportunities that you created for our daughter at each college. Meeting with a student at Harvard, was probably the most informative way to start the entire trip. She devoted a lot of time (in the rain) providing real college life details. She swiped us into dining halls, dorms & buildings that we might not have seen otherwise. The sophomore session at Princeton was wonderful! Thank you so much for everything that you did! We really were able to get the most out of each campus visit! Best, Julie

Julie, Parent of a high school Junior in Southern California

I found working with Custom College Visits a very positive experience. They were able to pinpoint colleges that were best suited for my daughter and the travel plans were well organized. In addition, they were able to set up an interview with a member of a college color guard, as my daughter had expressed interest in going to a school that had a color guard. I am very pleased with my experience with Custom College Visits, and would recommend them highly.

Mark L. Parent of high school junior in Northern California

Lili got accepted into her first choice school today (early decision): Boston University! She is thrilled beyond belief and relieved as well. We could not have done it without your help, it was invaluable. I think the High School Honors program she did there was probably very helpful and we would not have know about it without your forwarding the information to us. You rock! So, I am tipping my hat today to both you and Lili!

Kim T. Parent of high school senior in Kansas

I am happy to tell you that Nivi has been accepted early decision to Brown University. She is the first ivy leaguer in our family and we couldn’t be more proud! Her decision to apply was made easier because of the excellent experience she had during her customized tour via your company so thank you so much! We will be sure to recommend you to our friends here..

Gayathri S. Parent of high school senior Chennai, India

Thank you again for being so good at what you do. Our trip to the US was a huge success. I was on the verge of cancelling the trip but knew I couldn’t let my son down. That I even found you on the internet was a direct answer to my prayer for a miracle. The itinerary worked very well. I knew I was in good hands even before I boarded the plane to the U.S. and your attention to detail far exceeded my expectation.

Egbe O. Parent of international high school student

We had a wonderful trip to Philadelphia and Boston thanks to Janice Caine of Custom College Visits. She worked out an itinerary from start to finish. We visited 9 schools and it was as smooth as possible. Janice worked out tours and information sessions as well as meetings with tennis coaches. We have boy/girl twins and both were happy which is not an easy achievement. Not only did Janice work out the schedule but she recommended great schools in both towns. We would highly recommend her.

Phil S. Parent of high school students SF Bay Area

“Thank you SO MUCH for your involvement in the Splash Parents’ Program this weekend! I am just reviewing the feedback forms, and your presentation received rave reviews across the board; many parents cited it as the highlight of the program for them! Some verbatim quotes include: ‘The Planning and Preparing for College Visits was a great eye opener;’ Thank you for all the effort, energy, and enthusiasm you put into making the event such a success.”

Marisa M. Coordinator, Splash Parents’ Program Stanford University

Our college process was two-fold. It began with getting a jump start on the standardized testing, and not waiting until spring of junior year to focus. I believe our outcome was successful because we had a well-managed plan helped along by an expert, Janice Caine, of Custom College Visits.

Lisa L. Parent of high school students SF Bay Area

Happy New Year! Wanted to let you know that Charlie was accepted to Johns Hopkins Early Decision! Great news and very exciting all around. Thank you for all your help.

Beth A. Parent of a high school senior. Massachusetts

Dohop travel planner – find cheap flights #one #stop #travel

#find flights cheap
#

If you are using Dohop.com’s flight search engine, there are a few things you can keep in mind to optimize and get the most out of the results. By default the results are ordered by price, lowest first. You can rearrange this order, perhaps by departure time if you want to catch an early flight, or by total trip duration to minimize your stay in airplanes and airports.

Dohop’s specialty is finding the best connections, ones that other flight searches won’t show you. Our flight planner shows you the best connections, but again you can limit these by using the filters. You can eliminate ground travel, reduce the maximum number of stops and disallow overnight flights. You may be cutting out the cheapest flight by doing this, but instead you might find the one best suited to you. Direct flight are the most tempting, since you eliminate a lot of hassle, but they are often not the cheapest flight available. For the cheapest prices, look for low cost airlines, and especially connections with at least one low-cost airline.

And using Dohop.com’s flight search saves you the time and hassle of searching for available flights on each of the airlines sites individually.

Household Planner, Home Management Binder System | Lifetime Membership

Mom s Household Planner for ALL seasons

This is just a sampling
of our collection!

Mom s Household Planner for ALL Seasons
LIFETIME membership

is just a ONE TIME payment of $24.95 .

I have used numerous planners, forms, etc, in the past. I love the Mom s Household Planner because I use it all the time! We use the calendars, the home school planning forms, etc. I love that I can print out my own planner. It is wonderful for keeping our family more organized. I like that I can print what I need, whenever I need it, instead of searching for a printable calendar. Thank you! And I love the designs, the calendars, the planning forms, household forms..By the way, each of the other planners asks you to renew every year. That means more $$ on for planning. We are a single income family of 6, so every little bit helps. I use the calendars for bill paying, for our schedules for school, as well as for marking appointments, Awesome!

I have been using the Moms Tool Belt for several years now. I LOVE IT. I started out slow and created only one section at a time. In a short amount of time and using only 5-20 min. at a session, I have built my organizers. I have a Household Planner with calender, budget/billing info. Addresses, Gift charts, Emergency contacts, and soooo much more. I have a Home School Planner with Lesson Plans, Form and Documents necessary to fulfill state requirements, and again, soooo much more. I have a Recipe Book with favorite and often used recipes, menu plans, and grocery list sheets. There isn t one planner that I have created that doesn t get used daily. I put in only what is pertinent to my family, customize forms to meet our needs and have a personalized organizational system just for us. You can do it too. It really makes life sooooo much easier for everyone. Stress gets reduced. People are happier. Thank you Debra Reed for creating, teaching, and sharing the gift of organization with my family. May the Lord Bless you for how you have used your talents.

I am a mom with a household of 8. Mom s Household Planner has been wonderful about helping me keep our day to day lives organized and in one place. I used to get stressed because of all the papers and clutter in my home office and now it is all gone. Thank you so much for such a wonderful product!

Vania MacCarthy says:

I absolutely LOVE the Mom s Household Planner. I have used it every day since Debra started it and I absolutely LOVE it. It is fun, versatile and colorful! It is definitely worth the money and is not a purchase you will regret. )

Thanks, Debra, for the LIFETIME memberships. That is SO awesome. )

Thank you for sharing your talents and gifts with us, Debra! I have tried many planners over the year, but never fully used them as they were intended. Now that I have my household planner on my kitchen counter, I can quickly grab it to organize our home, one step at a time. I love the different styles you have available, and it was hard to choose just one! I am looking forward to using the homeschooling student sheets planner for next school year. Our children are going to love it! Thank you!

This was just what I d been looking for. Custumizable, LOTS of options, and she s done all the work for me. For what you get, the price is unbeatable. Thanks Debra!!

I have been looking at purchasing this since you first introduced it. I am not very good at keeping up with planners, but I decided that 2013 is going to be my Get Myself Together year. I appreciate all the time you invest in this site and Notebooking Pages. Your hard work enables me to spend more time with my children. May God continue to bless you and your family. Merry Christmas.

Norma Rudd says:

Thank you, Debra, for making this tool available to us mom s that need things like this. I love to be organized and with homeschooling 2 kids, this is a necessity! Also, thank you sooo much for the lifetime membership! God bless you.

When I became a full-time stay at home mom, I left my planning pages behind. What a mistake! The problem was, I didn t want a strictly business format, and if I was going to use planner pages, I wanted to find something that was both pretty and practical. When I stumbled on Moms Tool Belt I was pretty impressed! I loved the seasonal look and then came the floral pages and the editable pages and I am HOOKED forever. These are the BEST planning pages I ve ever found and I think my membership is worth every single penny.

I have never been the most organised person. I was constantly looking for some lost paperwork here or there, struggling to remember weather or not I paid a bill, remembering which of my kids has an appointment where and when etc. Mom s Household Planner has helped save me soo much time! For instance, just the other day my Husband was on the phone with our health insurance company. They needed one of our children s social security numbers as well as a copy of our Marriage License. He began to tell the representative that he would have to get back to him when we found them the look of amazement on my Husbands face when I opened my planner and laid it in front of him with a copy of the Social Security Cards and Marriage license was PRICELESS. Definitely worth the investment! We Home school 4 children the planning sheets have made compiling our end of the year portfolios soo much easier! No more trying to remember resources used, compiling book logs etc. from memory at the end of the year! Each kid has a planner and they help keep track of what they read through the year, samples of their work, what their assignments are and how they are working through them on their own! I have recommended Mom s Toolbelt to all my friends and family and will continue to for the rest of my life!

Hello. My name is Donna, and I am a a a list-a-holic! Therefore this site has been such a fun and awesome blessing to me! The pages are useful, pretty, and easy to print up!
I am looking forward to a new year with these lists! I wish I would have had these back when i was home educating. I could have had everything not only in one place, but all matchy match which for a crafty/artsy/ocd person like me that means something!
Wishing you all a fantastic new year full of blessings that will knock your socks off!

Finding Your First Financial Adviser After You Are 50 #finding #a

Finding Your First Financial Adviser After 50

Credit: Adobe Stock

You’ve heard about financial advisers your whole adult life, professionals who reputedly combined the know-how of accountants with the money wizardry of seasoned investors. So how come you’ve never been to a financial adviser?

The possible reasons are many.

Why People Don’t Hire a Financial Adviser

“I think some folks believe they’ll be sold something they don’t need,” said Sterling Raskie, instructor of finance at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Others, Raskie said, may be apprehensive about dealing with their finances. In addition, “some are afraid a financial adviser might be too expensive, while others may not know where to look for one,” Raskie added.

People put off going to a financial adviser for “the same reason I put off doing my taxes: It’s boring and sometimes painful,” said Taylor Schulte, a Certified Financial Planner and founder of Define Financial in San Diego. “A research group once described financial planning as feeling like a mix between a dental visit, math class and marriage therapy.”

Some are afraid a financial adviser might be too expensive, while others may not know where to look for one.

— Sterling Raskie, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign

“We often hear something along the lines of, ‘I’ve made it this far without a financial adviser, why do I need you now?’” Schulte said. “After 30 years of managing their own finances, it’s not always easy to turn the keys over.”

What a Financial Adviser Does and Charges

A recent Northwestern Mutual survey found that nearly seven in 10 Americans say they don’t have a trusted money adviser. And almost half (45 percent) don’t know where to get the help they need.

Ready to get a financial adviser? First be sure you understand what a financial adviser is and does. “For some, a quick talk with their broker counts as seeing a financial adviser. I disagree,” said Eve Kaplan of Kaplan Financial Advisers in Berkeley Heights, N.J.

Financial advisers should help you map a money plan based on your goals, discuss asset allocation options for your investments and help keep you on track with your plan. He or she shouldn’t try to predict the market or forecast precise returns on your investments.

Advisers generally charge a flat fee (either hourly or based on the percentage of your assets the adviser handles), earn a commission on products sold or work for some combination of the two. It’s important to decide what compensation arrangement meets your needs and your best interests.

Why People Look for Advisers After 50

A major life event often triggers someone over 50 to call a financial adviser for the first time: a death in the family, a divorce or an inheritance, for example.

The accountant of a retired couple recently referred them to Schulte after the husband’s mother died. “For the first time in their life, they had a seven-figure account balance. Along with cash distributions and retirement accounts, they also inherited fractional shares of both commercial and residential real estate,” he said. “The number of moving parts urged them to contact a professional to be sure they made smart decisions.”

In other cases, impending retirement is reason enough. “After 50, some folks are done funding college and they suddenly realize retirement looms – and perhaps they are woefully unprepared,” Kaplan added.

Bouncing From One Adviser to Another

Rita Jensen, of New York City, first saw a financial adviser a few years ago, after turning 66. “I had just sold my co-op and was flush with cash,” she said. “I wanted expert advice. I didn’t do it before because I was distracted: work, kids and so on.”

But Jensen wasn’t pleased with the firm. “What they really offered was to advise me for all sorts of fees to keep my crucial documents in their vault and then invest my money for me. Which they delegated to another firm. I was underwhelmed.”

Jensen found one adviser at her bank, “a youngish man … I think he churned my account, because it never really grew,” she recalled. “I got annoyed when he and his team couldn’t estimate for me how much my RMDs [required minimum distributions from retirement plans] would be.

Then she had a financial adviser from another bank. That didn’t work out well either. “I just picked her from the phone book because her office was near my office. I kind of liked her, an older woman, and I felt she looked out for me. But a large portion of my savings was in money markets and I didn’t really experience any growth.”

Jensen eventually found what she thinks is reliable adviser — through her niece. “I hope this one works out okay,” she said. “I am so busy that and so poorly informed that I just look at the bottom line once in a while and check that I haven’t lost money and hope I actually gained. But at least my current adviser was able to accurately estimate my RMD.”

Locating Local Financial Advisers

Discount brokerage houses such as Vanguard and Schwab will offer financial advice, but to find a self-employed adviser or small firm you can use your ZIP code to search the sites of the Certified Financial Planner Board or The National Association of Personal Financial Advisors. a group of advisers who charge fees and don’t take commissions on financial products.

Once you have the names of a few potential advisers (you might ask your friends and family for ones they’ve been happy using, too), you’ll next want to vet them to match your comfort level, goals and wallet.

Generally financial advisers hold designations that reveal much about their expertise. For example, a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation means the adviser passed requirements of the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards. A Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designation requires at least three years’ experience in the financial industry before passing finance courses at The American College.

Cancun Travel Guide

Established in 1970, Cancun is still a relatively young city. In her short lifetime, however, she has made quite a name for herself. The popular tourist destination is known as a mecca for sun-worshipers, who visit the area to take advantage of the miles of beautiful, white-sand beaches, and for it’s incredible nightlife, which rivals that of Las Vegas and Ibiza. Each year, millions of people flock to Cancun from all around the world but, due to their close proximity to Mexico, the majority of visitors are from the United States and Canada.

Cancun went through many changes as it evolved into the world-class resort area that it is today. It was first known as a Spring Break hot spot in the 1980s and still has the reputation of being a “party” town. While you can still find many amazing bars and nightclubs in Cancun, it is no longer the non-stop party that many people still believe it to be. Quite the contrary, in fact. Nowadays, Cancun is the home to numerous family-friendly resorts, adults-only resorts, which are popular with honeymooners, and to many ultra-luxurious hotels that cater to the rich and famous. In fact, it is not uncommon to see celebrities, or even world leaders, at some of the high-end resorts, or to brush elbows with famous people in Cancun’s nightclubs.

The city of Cancun is divided into two very different sections. There is the downtown area of Cancun, known as “El Centro”, where most of the area residents live, and there is the Zona Hotelera (Hotel Zone), where all of the beachfront resorts are found. Most tourists opt to stay in the Hotel Zone, since that is where the beaches and major nightclubs are located, but you will also find tourists in downtown Cancun, where the hotel prices are lower. El Centro has a very Mexican feel, with cobblestone streets, taco stands, and large flea markets. Conversely, the Hotel Zone is full of high-rise hotels and condominiums, upscale shopping malls, and gourmet restaurants.

Area attractions, such as the Mayan ruins of Chichen Itza and other important archaeological sites, like Coba and Tulum, can easily be reached from Cancun. Eco-parks, where visitors can enjoy water sports, learn about area wildlife and plant life, swim with dolphins, learn about Mexican culture, or just lounge in hammocks on the beach, are wonderful places to visit on sightseeing excursions. Xcaret and Xel-Ha are the area’s largest and most popular eco-parks. Day trips to visit the small island of Isla Mujeres, just a 30-minute ferry ride from Cancun, or to the nature reserve of Isla Contoy are also nice options for sightseeing tours. Each of these parks and attractions are suitable for families with small children and adults of all ages (although there can be quite a bit of walking on some of the tours).

Dohop travel planner – find cheap flights #travel #to #amsterdam
