Failure to timely renew by the renewal date will result in the forfeiture of the license. After the renewal date, the forfeited license may be restored within 6 months and subject to meeting restoration requirements. Failure to restore a forfeited license within 6 months after the renewal date will result in the termination of the license and the person must apply as a new applicant and meet current licensing requirements.

Pursuant to Section 436B-14.5, HRS. any license held by a member of the armed forces, National Guard, or a reserve component that expires, is forfeited, or deemed delinquent while the member is on active duty and deployed during a state or national crisis shall be restored if certain restoration requirements are met. Professional Limited Liability Companies

A professional limited liability company ( PLLC ) is a business entity designed for licensed professionals, such as lawyers, doctors, architects, engineers, accountants, and chiropractors. While many businesses choose to form a limited liability company ( LLC ) because of the tax, limited liability, and other benefits, some states don t allow LLCs to be owned by professionals whose occupation requires a license. In these states, licensed professionals who want the benefits of an LLC must form a PLLC instead.

Most states that don’t allow professionals to form regular LLCs do allow professionals to form PLLCs, with the notable exception of California. California allows professionals to form registered limited liability partnerships (RLLPs) or professional corporations (PCs), but not LLCs or PLLCs.

Laws and requirements vary state to state, but here are some general principles regarding PLLC’s. For information on each state’s rules, see Nolo’s article 50-State Guide to Forming a Professional LLC.

Formation

To form a PLLC, you usually must meet the following requirements.

The state licensing board for your profession must approve your articles of organization or similar organizational document. The requirements will differ depending on the state and the particular profession. Getting licensing board approval is an extra step in the LLC formation process and, as a result, it sometimes takes longer to form a PLLC than an LLC.

Upon approval by the licensing board, the articles of organization and all other required paperwork must be filed with your Secretary of State or other LLC filing office. To learn more about the filing process, review the Secretary of State s website in the state where you plan to incorporate or organize.

In most states, only those who hold professional licenses can own a share of the PLLC. In a few states, a licensed professional must be the organizer of the PLLC and sign the appropriate organizational documents (meaning a private company cannot form the PLLC for you).

Liability

One of the major reasons to form a PLLC is because it creates a separation between the individual and the entity. In most cases, if a PLLC is formed, the individual will not be personally liable for the business debts or any lawsuits against the business.

However, there are instances where a PLLC will not protect you. For example, forming a PLLC does not protect you from malpractice claims for your own malpractice. Because of this, it is a good idea to carry malpractice insurance even if you form a PLLC.

In addition, in order to receive a loan, banks often require a personal guarantee to back up a loan to a PLLC. Upon signing this agreement, you will be personally liable for any debts that you guaranteed. In addition, although a PLLC generally protects you from your employees actions, if you act in a supervisory role, you may be liable for the actions of the employees whom you supervise.

Frank was fantastic from start to finish. He sized up the situation and told me what my daughter and I needed in order to get her belongings from NYC to her new place. He helped when the front-end movers messed up and helped fix a couple of things that needed attention upon arrival. My son was moving from Alabama to California to start a new job. Large truck loaded pulling auto transport. Truck driver had medical emergency and could not make the trip. We were searching for someone last minute to drive all this to California over a 2,300 mile trip. We found Frank online and he assured us he could do the job and get everything there on time. The truck was an old UHaul truck and he had to deal with tire blowouts, countless breakdowns and a very unhelpful UHaul customer service department. Along the way he had to negotiate to get all the furniture unloaded and reloaded on to a new truck. In addition, the movers hired to unload the truck did not show up. He even assisted us in getting the truck unloaded which was not part of the job. Frank is a smart, knowledgeable, capable, responsible, reliable man. He told me that no matter what obstacles he faced he would get the load there on time. HE DELIVERS! HIS WORD IS GOOD! I have the highest praises for Frank, first a stranger I was hesitant to put this responsibility in his hands .now a true friend who saved me in a time of crisis.

Let me start by saying that I NEVER write reviews. I am just not that guy. Today I NEED to make an exception.

I needed to relocate for work on the Friday before July 4th from NYC to The Hamptons on Long Island. I had everything all set up (I thought). I had everything packed and ready to go. I had a U-Haul rented. I had a driver ready to go because I can not drive. Everything was planned so I can be ready to report to my new position at the new office on July 2nd.

At literally the last minute, my driver decides to stop answering my numerous phone calls and texts. What am I supposed to do? It is the night before the move. Im in a real bind. So I turn to Google. And search for a driver.

It could not have been more than 10 minutes after my inquiry that I receive a phone call. I explain me situation to Frank. I am apologizing the whole time because I know I am asking for a miracle. He could not have put me at ease any faster. He told me that he would personally make sure that it works out. He was completely right!

Frank was punctual, precise, friendly and detail oriented. He arrived at my apartment ready to go. He knew just how to pack everything in the truck for the trip, including the few fragile belongings. He knew the best time and route to minimize any unforseen delays. The price quote was not only fair, but consistant. He did not try to price gouge me due to my situation.

Door to door, I was surprised how quickly we were able to get everything done. I will admit that I am by no means a muscle man , but I gave it my all to keep up.

Although I hope that I am never in this situation again, I am very greatful for all the work that was done to make it happen.

Without a doubt, I would hire Frank again in a heartbeat and refer him to anyone in need of a driver.

The mission of RCCD Distance Education (formerly Open Campus) is to extend access to learning through distance education. Objectives: To facilitate learning at a distance, Distance Education provides:

What Are Online Based or Distance Education classes?

Online-based courses, also called Distance Education classes, may take two different forms:

Online classes are taken exclusively over the Internet. Please note that, while some online courses provide all instructional content over the Internet, others may require some on-campus meetings. Please see the course schedule or WebAdvisor for more information.

Hybrid classes meet both on campus and online. Think of them as a combination or blending of online classes and face-to-face classes.

In a hybrid class, you will attend meetings on campus during the dates and times listed in the schedule of classes. Since the on-campus portion of hybrid classes could take place at any of our three colleges (Riverside City, Norco or Moreno Valley), hybrid classes are listed in the schedule by the college where the on-campus meetings will take place.

Are there Face-to-Face classes that use the Internet?

Web-Enhanced classes are traditional face-to-face classes that are supplemented with course websites and the use of Internet resources. Unlike hybrid or fully-online classes, all web-enhanced class meetings take place on campus.

The Michigan Certification Board for Addiction Professionals (MCBAP) is a member of the International Certification and Reciprocity Consortium (IC RC), and the most active authority for professional substance use disorder prevention, treatment, and recovery credentialing in Michigan.

MCBAP’s membership in the IC RC requires a commitment to adhere to international standards that ensure competence in professionals providing substance abuse services. The IC RC’s membership currently includes more than 77 boards in the United States, Indian Health Services, U. S. Military, U. S. Federal Court Administrators and numerous foreign countries including Canada, Sweden, Bermuda, Germany, Singapore, the United Kingdom, Spain, Mexico, Japan, and India.

The IC RC reciprocal certifications we currently offer are:

Professional indemnity insurance

Professional indemnity insurance covers the cost of defending your business against allegations of professional negligence (such as giving your client incorrect or wrongful advice) and any compensation or damages subsequently awarded against you.

  • You produce a report for a client on restructuring their operations to lower costs. The changes directly attributable to the recommendations you have made result in higher costs for the client and they take legal action against you for the poor advice.

This is essential insurance for all management advisors and business consultants and insurance cover is available with limits ranging from £50,000 to £5m.

Public and product liability insurance

Public and product liability insurance covers the cost of defending your business (including damages awarded against you if unsuccessful) if someone is injured, or their property damaged, which arises from you going about your business or supplying products.

Examples of claims include:

While visiting a client’s office, you accidentally spill a cup of coffee over their smartphone and laptop. You are sent an invoice for the cost of replacing them.

  • A client slips on a wet floor and injures themselves while visiting your workplace. They make a personal injury claim against you seeking compensation.
  • If you regularly visit client premises as part of your consulting activities, you may need this cover. Limits range from £1m to £5m.

    Employer’s liability insurance

    Employer’s liability insurance is a legal requirement if your business has employees. It covers your business against claims for injury or illness suffered by employees arising from their employment.

    An example of a claim would be:

    • An employee trips over a computer cable at your office and is unable to work for several weeks due to the injury. They make a personal injury claim against you seeking compensation.

    If your consultancy employs staff, you need this cover. Cover for £10m.

    Office insurance covers your office buildings, office contents and computer equipment against accidental damage (including theft) whilst on your business premises. You can also choose to cover your business equipment (such as laptops and mobile phones) on a worldwide basis, and insure your business against loss of income and/or additional trading expenses following events such as damage to your property.

    Directors and officers insurance

    Directors and officers insurance covers the costs of defending you as a director or officer of your company against allegations of wrongful acts and any damages subsequently awarded against you. Cover is also provided in respect of the legal costs and expenses of defending actions for disqualification as a director, investigations and extradition proceedings. If you are a director of a business or management consultancy, you may want to consider this cover. Limits range from £100,000 to £5m.

    Occupational personal accident insurance

    Occupational personal accident insurance provides a weekly payment if you are unable to work due to temporary total disablement (subject to a 14 day deferment period).

    In the event of loss of limbs, sight, speech, hearing, permanent total disablement or death, a lump sum would be paid out.

    If you would struggle to maintain an income if you were unable to work following the accident, you should consider having occupational personal accident insurance to help ease the financial burden. Limits from £100/week to £500/week for temporary total disablement (£25k lump sum to £100k lump sum for permanent total disablement).

    Legal representation and employment disputes insurance

    Legal representation and employment disputes insurance pays your legal and representation costs, together with any award you are required to pay, following an employment dispute – for example, with another dance teacher that you employ in your business. It also pays costs and expenses for certain crisis management, identity fraud, official investigation, corporate manslaughter, pollution and data protection issues. Limit of £100,000.

    Cyber and data risks insurance

    Cyber and data risks insurance pays the costs of restoring data and equipment, informing clients, meeting ransom demands and loss of your net profit following a cyber attack. It also pays your legal defence costs and damages you are legally liable to pay to other parties. If you hold confidential information about your clients and their projects on computers and other internet connected devices, you should consider to this cover.

    Underground Lawn Sprinkler Systems

    There are four steps to completing a do-it-yourself sprinkler system:

    1. Consider what parts you want to use. Will the sprinklers be a 12 foot radius or 30 foot? The differences in these two sprinklers will have a profound effect on your irrigation system design;the number of sprinklers, stations and valves.
    2. Look over the information on selecting parts for your sprinkler system, then go to our layout instruction page. The layout is strongly dependent on the parts chosen. Consider the tradeoffs carefully, what seems like a less expensive choice now may cost you a lot more when your water bill comes!
    3. Prepare a parts list and purchase your parts.
    4. The last step is installing the sprinkler system by digging trenches, gluing pipe and fittings, and installing the automatic controller. Check out our installation instructions for helpful information. Also, don’t miss our detailed operation and adjustment instructions for many of the products we sell.

    If you are thinking of having an installer put a system in for you, be sure to read our free advice on features to ask about during your bid request meetings.

    It would be a real shame to go to all the trouble to install your system, only to find later you used parts so cheap that you have an ongoing maintenance problem, or poor performance. That mistake can cost you anywhere from fifty dollars per year for a very small lot to several hundred dollars a year for a larger lot.
