Gay Travel for the Single Man #flight #tickets #deals

Gay Travel for the Single Man

People often ask us, where is the best place to go on a vacation, if you are gay and single. Gosh, there are so many choices!

Travel is one of the most enriching experiences a person can undertake. But deciding where to go can sometimes be a challenge. With almost any option possible and (in the case of a solo traveler) nobody else to have to pander to, in some respects choosing your destination can be more of a challenge than the actual journey itself. What is it you want from the trip?

In the US I would suggest Palm Springs . They have a lot of small intimate resorts and guesthouses that make it very conducive to mingling and make new friends. Palm Springs California is well-known as one of the most reliable and consistent sunny destinations in the USA. Abundant sunshine, clear blue skies, low humidity, warm temperatures and only a hint of rain characterize the consistently beautiful weather in Palm Springs, Ca. In fact, the sun shines in the Palm Springs California area more than 350 days a year!

Big city obvious gay meccas like West Hollywood and San Francisco are not my first choice for the single guy. Though you can have fun in both cities. It just depends on how outgoing you are and what you are looking for. New York City is amazing, for all kinds of reasons.

Chicago (below) is very laid back it s very easy to walk into a bar and start chatting with strangers. Huge gay population concentrated in some very cool neighborhoods (Lakeview-Boystown, Andersonville, Uptown, Edgewater, Rogers Park), friendly people, the only major US city that s actually affordable to live in. You have Lake Michigan, beaches, shopping and world class dining.

Fort Lauderdale is certainly very nice but very spread out whereas Key West is small enough to feel at home. Key West is very easy to navigate and meet new people. Key West is a Lush tropical island with fascinating architecture, friendly people, a rich history, and plenty of activities to keep you engaged or help relax

Columbus Ohio is a new and upcoming gay travel destination. The Short North/Victorian Village/Italian Village/Grandview area of town is a huge and vibrant gayborhood that mixes trendy shops, art galleries, fun dining, nightlife, high end dining, lots of homes, apartments and new condos, and culture. The city can skew a little young at times due to Ohio State, but there are lots of young urban professional gay men all over Columbus. It s sort of a smaller version of Chicago.

There is a great tour group called Spirit Journeys. Spirit Journeys offers extraordinary gay travel, retreats and workshops at magical destinations all over the world. Whether it be on adventure tours or attending a retreat, our aim is to offer you a chance to get away from it all , to connect with others and to explore the mysteries and cultures that are in the world around us. You can see a lot of the world, with a gay group.

David Hodkinson, of Travel Leaders agrees. For gay, single individuals, small group gay travel is the easiest and best way to meet other singles. There is a lot of variety in the type of travel one can choose, often very specific, i.e. adventure, cultural, active, ecotourism, spa and health, etc. Small groups vary in size….perhaps ranging from 8 to 18 and some even larger. Since participants often share the same interests, there are many opportunities for discussions and dialogue.

The companies that offer this type of travel are numerous…travel to exotic destinations, ski (Gay Ski Weeks), small ship cruising, river cruising, gay safaris (outstanding!), Gay Games, active (hiking, dude ranches, climbing, rafting, skiing), and the list goes on.

Gay travelers should check out agencies that are members of IGLTA (International Gay and Lesbian Travel Association) since these agencies can direct them to appropriate suppliers and provide guidance in making decisions.

He also says, Amsterdam is my #1 choice…..the bars and clubs are like nothing else and there is something for everyone and every preference. The biggest festivals are Amsterdam Pride and Queensday with many celebrations, concerts, parties, etc. held not only in the streets but in the numerous clubs and bars. Europe’s biggest gay dance party is Rapido and one of the best and most famous is held in Amsterdam during Pride, at Rapido Paradiso (a phenomenal venue). Tickets sell out fast and must be purchased months in advance. Gay and single….Amsterdam is an easy to meet and mingle and English is spoken everywhere. Winter is a bit dreary but there’s always something going on .

Puerto Vallarta Mexico is great for couples, friends or single travelers. Beautiful ocean bay beaches

World class dining, mountains and jungles, and a huge gay lesbian community. Very friendly. Lots to see and do. Still affordable.

Toronto ’s gay and lesbian village is most famous for having provided the location for much of the Showcase series Queer as Folk. Canada’s laws regarding legal same-sex marriage make this city a perfect destination for a wedding and honeymoon vacation. Church Street’s lively bars, warm cafés and friendly people provide a fun and a very welcoming atmosphere for gay and lesbian travelers.

In Europe. Prague is one of my favorites. Paris is one of my least favorites.

Prague is VERY AFFORDABLE and the city of spires has more than just gorgeous architecture and a fascinating history to offer gay and lesbian travelers. The city boasts numerous gay and gay-friendly clubs, bars, restaurants, cafés, saunas and accommodations. Lots of shopping. Lots of culture. Lots of GAY! Very easy to meet people. Prague is like one large outdoor museum with myriad wonders to explore. On the other hand, Paris is like a huge large outdoor museum, but for the most part, not over-friendly. Hard to connect with people. and triple the price of Prague.

Costa Rica has been dubbed Central America’s Gay Paradise. From cloud forests, rainforests and rushing rivers to active volcanoes and tropical beaches, Costa Rica boasts innumerable natural wonders that will arouse your senses. With its progressive laws protecting gay rights, Costa Rica is a friendly place to visit without hassles.

Phuket, Thailand. Patong beach has become a gay hotspot because of its unbelievably inexpensive nightlife, exhilarating water sports and friendly atmosphere. The dazzling beach has been host to pride festivals and remains a perfect place for gay and lesbian travelers to meet and enjoy the excitement of Southeast Asia.

These are just some of our top picks. There are many more great places, depending on what you are looking for. Don t be afraid to travel alone. You will find so many places around the world that are friendly and very open to talking to you! Even despite language barriers, many people are so nice and will try to communicate with you! Even you need help making a decison, call an expert for advice.

Single Incision Laparoscopic Surgery (SILS) – Baylor Scott – White Health

#

Single Incision Laparoscopic Surgery (SILS) at Scott White Round Rock

What is Single Incision Laparoscopic Surgery?

Single incision laparoscopic surgery, or SILS, is an advanced, minimally invasive procedurethat allows the surgeon to operate exclusively through a single entry point, typically the patient’s navel.

In traditional laparoscopic surgery, a telescopic rod connected to a video camera or laparoscope is inserted through a small incision in the abdomen. Three to five additional incisions are made and used as ports, where the other necessary surgical instruments are inserted.

Procedures that can be done with SILS include:

  • Appendectomy
  • Cholecystectomy
  • Colectomy
  • Colostomy
  • Colostomy reversal
  • Hepatectomy
  • Splenectomy
  • All hernia repairs (inguinal, femoral, incisional, hiatal, ventral)
  • Surgical correction of esophageal reflux (Nissen Fudoplication)
  • Diagnostic procedures

Potential benefits include:

  • Decreased pain
  • Better cosmetic results (scar hidden in belly button)
  • Faster recovery
  • Fewer potential complications

Am I a Candidate for SILS?

Most patients who are eligible for laparoscopic surgery are also good candidates for single-port procedures.

Patients who are morbidly obese or who already have had multiple major abdominal surgeries may not be eligible.

River Cruise Discounts for Single Travelers #travel #to #turkey

#single travel

Singles Travel

Singles are welcome on every river cruise we offer, though river cruise companies generally require single travelers to pay a single supplement for a private cabin. Some companies help travelers avoid the single supplement with a singles share program, where participants are matched with a roommate of the same gender, or by offering limited-time promotions that reduce or waive the single supplement.

Below are the current offers for singles, followed by a list of each company’s policy regarding single travelers.

Upon request, Abercrombie & Kent will make every effort to arrange shared accommodations for single travelers. If the request cannot be honored, a single supplement will apply.

Single travelers pay a single supplement, as no single share program is available.

Alexander+Roberts (First Class or Deluxe)

Single travelers pay a single supplement, as no single share program is available.

Single travelers pay a single supplement, as no single share program is available.

Single travelers pay 150 to 175% of the double occupancy rate, depending on the type of stateroom.

A limited number of single occupancy cabins are available. Alternatively, guests may pay a single supplement of 200% of the published stateroom fare, based on availability.

Avalon Waterways (First Class or Deluxe)

Avalon Waterways will match single travelers with a roommate of the same gender in select cabin categories. The share program is not available on all river cruises. Single travelers who do not wish to share a cabin will pay the single supplement.

Blount offers a limited selection of cabins for single occupancy. Single travelers also have the option of paying a single supplement rate of 175% of the double occupancy rate. A “Willing to Share” program is offered for people willing to be paired with a same-gender traveling companion; if no companion can be found, you will be placed alone in a double occupancy cabin.

Collette (First Class or Deluxe)

Single guests who are willing to share accommodations with another participant must advise Collette at the time of booking. The single supplement is charged initially. If, two weeks prior to the day of departure, another guest is willing to share accommodations, the single supplement will be refunded.

Contiki will match single travelers with a roommate of the same gender. Single travelers who do not wish to share a room will pay the single supplement.

Single travelers pay a single supplement on all vessels except those with single cabins. European Waterways reserves the right to accept a maximum of two cabins for single occupancy for any single cruise.

Most of G Adventures’ trips do not have a single supplement. This means that the accommodation is on a twin share basis and, if you are traveling on your own, you will be sharing a room with another G Adventures traveler of the same sex. Some tours, however, have an optional single supplement or occasionally a mandatory single supplement. You can ask your travel counselor about this when you inquire about the tour you are interested in taking.

Gate 1 Travel (First Class or Deluxe)

Single travelers pay a single supplement, as no single share program is available.

Globus (First Class or Deluxe)

Single travelers pay a single supplement, as no single share program is available.

Insight will match single travelers with a roommate of the same gender. Single travelers who do not wish to share a room will pay the single supplement.

Most Intrepid Travel trips do not have a single supplement. This means that the accommodation is on a twin share basis and, if you are traveling on your own, you will be sharing a room with another traveler of the same sex. Some tours, however, have an optional single supplement or occasionally a mandatory single supplement. SITA Tours (First Class or Deluxe)

A tour member occupying a single room, either by choice or by circumstance, will pay a single supplement. Quoted single room rate does not necessarily mean single occupancy of a double room, as some hotels and riverboats have single-occupancy accommodations.

Tauck (Deluxe)

Reservations are accepted as “single share if possible.” The single supplement is charged initially; upon departure, if another guest is willing to share accommodations, the single supplement will be refunded.

Trafalgar (First Class or Deluxe)

Trafalgar will match single travelers with a roommate of the same gender. Single travelers who do not wish to share a room will pay the single supplement.

Uniworld (First Class or Deluxe)

Uniworld will match single travelers with a roommate of the same gender in select cabin categories. Single travelers who do not wish to share a cabin will pay the single supplement.

Limited single cabins are available at 150% of the per person double occupancy cruise price for the lowest category, and 200% for all other categories.

Single travelers have the option of sharing with a roommate of the same gender. Single travelers who do not wish to share will pay a single supplement. Single travelers are required to share on overnight cruises and rail journeys; in these circumstances, roommates may not be Wendy Wu Tours passengers.

Two new alternatives for the unattached

If reality TV shows featuring runway models hooking up with hot hunks in exotic locales seems too good to be true, I’ve got good news for you: they aren’t. At least in one respect.

Don’t miss these Travel stories

With teams using more than 100 unique apparatuses to launch globular projectiles a half-mile or more, the 27th annual World Championship Punkin Chunkin event is our pick as November’s Weird Festival of the Month.

If you’re single it’s possible to ditch that dating Web site, hop on a plane, head to the tropics and meet the love of your life.

(No guarantee they’ll be runway models or hot hunks, though.)

Singles have always had a hard time vacationing. The typical “single vacation” tends to be a group of friends that ultimately turns into a booze fest worthy of a film crew from Girls Gone Wild (complete with incriminating photos). Or it is a solo vacation typically filled with a lot of reading and watching those damned happy loving couples frolic in the sand and surf.

It doesn’t have to be that way.

So, if you find yourself single or unattached, take a leave of absence from match.com for a month. Tell the local barkeep that you won’t be a regular for a few days and try out one of these two new alternatives.

Sail the seven seas, solo. SinglesCruise.com is a cruise-only agency owned by the giant Carlson Wagonlit Travel. As would be expected with that moniker, they only do cruises and it is only for singles. While they do not take over an entire ship, they take close to 20 percent of it.

Buy travel insurance and get 2 for 1 cinema tickets

Every Tuesday and Wednesday for a whole year with MEERKAT MOVIES

Comparing single trip travel insurance

So why might you need single trip insurance? Well, travel insurance is an essential thing to have if things go wrong when you’re far from home. Even in the best hotels accidents and incidents can happen.

Single trip cover is just what it sounds like – an insurance policy for one holiday. If you go away twice or more every year, it could work out cheaper to buy annual travel insurance. But if your main holiday is just once a year, single trip will probably be better value.

What does travel insurance cover?

The main idea behind travel or holiday insurance is to cover you for cost of medical treatment abroad – which could go into thousands of pounds. It could also pay for you to be transported home in an emergency.

Policies do vary depending on the insurer, but they usually cover emergency medical treatment costs, like hospital charges and ambulance fees. If you can’t use your original ticket because of an illness or injury, you’re usually covered to get home after your treatment. A friend or relative could staying with you while you’re treated, with costs covered by the insurance, or fly out from home to support.

Most policies will cover you for the loss of your baggage or other possessions, and refund you if your trip has to becancelled or cut short for any reason.

So how much will it cost you to buy single trip travel insurance? It actually depends on a few things, so the best way to find out what would work best for you is to do a travel insurance comparison.

Where are you going?

When you compare travel insurance you first need to tell the insurer where you’re off to. You can buy a policy for the UK, or for Europe, or the USA, Canada and Caribbean. You’ll need extra cover if you’re going to the USA, Canada and Caribbean, and if you’re going further beyond you’ll need to check that country is covered.

Your travel insurance won’t cover you if you are travelling to a country that the Foreign Commonwealth Office (FCO) doesn’t consider to be safe. If you’re not sure, check the FCO website.

Some people think that they don’t need travel insurance if they have a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC). In many European countries, if you need medical treatment and have an EHIC, you can get treatment on the same basis as people who live in that country. However, it will be on the basis you get taken to a public not private hospital. In the event of an emergency you will be taken to the nearest hospital. Also some policies will waive your excess if you have one.

But the EHIC should never be used as a replacement for travel cover – it wouldn’t pay for getting you home or any other costs linked to your medical emergency. They are also date-specific, so check the expiry on your card before you travel. Be aware too, that not all European countries recognise the EHIC.

Who’s going?

Your single trip travel insurance could just be for you as an individual policy, or you could buy insurance as a couple, a family or a group. If you’re including other people, you’ll need their dates of birth and details of any medical conditions they might have, to get an accurate quote.

What’s on the itinerary?

If you’re going skiing or snowboarding, taking a cruise or a business trip, not all policies will cover you. Winter sports mean more risk of injury, while with cruises you might need specific elements, like cover for being airlifted to hospital in an emergency, or confined to your cabin.

If you’re travelling on business (and your company isn’t insuring the trip) not all general policies will cover you. We’ll ask you about these elements as part of our quote information.

Are you planning on being adventurous on your travels? If so you might need to check whether that deep sea fishing, white water rafting or rock climbing is covered in your policy.

How’s your health?

To get you a list of quotes, we’ll ask you a few questions about your health and get you to add in the names of any medical conditions.

From an insurer’s point of view, a health condition could mean you‘re more likely to need medical help while you’re away. Because of this, some conditions might make your insurance more expensive but this isn’t always the case with all conditions.

It’s important that you do list any medical issues and give insurers all the information they need because, if not, you might be charged more by your insurer or not be covered. If your insurer discovers that the medical emergency on your trip was linked to a condition you already had, they could refuse to pay your bills or charged.

Get comparing and save!

You’ll now get a page full of travel insurance quotes. They are listed in price order with the cheapest travel insurance at the top.

All the main details of each policy are shown – the amounts of medical, baggage and cancellation cover, how well it’s rated by Defaqto, and how much excess you would pay if you did make a claim. You can filter your results to only show those over a certain limit. To find out more about what is and isn’t included in the policies, click each one for more details.

Once you’ve have found a travel insurance quote that suits you, click the button to go through and buy. Make sure you read all the details. It’s unlikely you would need to claim, but it’s important to make sure you have the right cover, just in case.

Don’t forget, if you buy your travel insurance policy through us, you will benefit from the fabulous Meerkat Movies! You can get 2 for 1 cinema tickets on Tuesdays or Wednesdays, every week for a whole year*. A great reason to choose us for your holiday insurance. Have a great trip!

Do I need travel insurance for a short trip?

Yes, it’s important to have travel insurance for every trip you take, even a short, single trip to the UK or Europe. Not being covered when you travel means you are exposing yourself to large bills if anything goes wrong or you fall ill while you are away from home.

If you’re only planning one holiday in a year, single trip holiday insurance is the best value option. We can also provide you with great value long-stay cover for trips of between three and 18 months, or an annual policy if you’re planning more than one trip in a year. All of our travel insurance policies include repatriation, medical emergency and baggage cover as standard.

Pre-existing medical conditions

Staysure Single Trip travel insurance policies cover many pre-existing medical conditions free of charge. Other conditions can be added via medical screening by answering a few questions online, or through our UK contact centre which is open seven days a week. It’s very important that all pre-existing conditions are declared on your policy at the time of purchase. This will avoid large medical bills if you need treatment in another country.

Travel tips

You should have medical cover wherever you’re travelling, but it’s especially important if you’re visiting a country with no state health service, such as the USA. If you don’t have medical cover and fall ill while you’re in the States you’ll be responsible for all of your medical bills. Without insurance, the cost of a lengthy hospital stay and an air ambulance back to the UK could run to tens of thousands of pounds.

If you’re travelling to Europe, it is a good idea to apply for a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC), which gives you free or reduced-cost medical care in all European Economic Area countries. This includes all EU countries, as well as Iceland, Norway, Lichtenstein and Switzerland. In essence you can expect the same level of cover as a citizen of that country, but it’s important to note that each country’s health system is different and might not include everything that you get back home for free. To cover all eventualities, the NHS recommends that you use your EHIC card in addition to adequate travel insurance.

Find out more about which countries are covered by the EHIC and what it entitles you on the NHS Choices website .

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office website provides in-depth advice on travelling to every country in the world and is updated regularly. Here you can find the latest safety and security announcements for your destination, along with entry requirements, vaccinations, currency information and local laws and customs. It is a good idea that you check this before you travel.

For more general travel advice, check out the NHS Fit For Travel website. You can find information on a wide range of topics, including food and water abroad, sun exposure, travelling with medical complaints, travelling in remote areas, first aid, as well as how to be a responsible traveller.

*Terms and Conditions apply. There is no upper age limit for single trip policies unless you are travelling to the United States of America, Canada, the islands of the Caribbean, Bermuda, Mexico, Thailand, China or Hong Kong, where you must be 85 or under at the time of purchasing your policy.

Single Travel: Tips for Going Solo #travelling #to #thailand

Single Travel: Tips for Going Solo

Tips for Dining

Eating alone isn’t so bad. Many solo travelers (and frequent business travelers) are terrified of eating alone, worried that they appear like some worn-out Willy Loman of the road. There’s even a name for it: solomangarephobia. (Occasionally the fear is justified — see Terror at the Table for One .) Nonetheless, the following tips can help you overcome what for many travelers is the most unpleasant aspect of going it alone.

  • Chat with the service people. Waiters and waitresses are some of the best local color you’ll find.

  • Zagat guides include a section on the “Singles Scene” in many cities; you might not be out to meet a new beau, but this should offer some options nonetheless.

  • Cafe and outdoor dining is often attractive to single travelers; sitting alone with a book in a cafe isn’t as unusual as a table for one at a fancy restaurant.

  • Choose a counter seat or a seat at the bar.

  • Go to a restaurant that has booths, which offer more privacy.

  • Bring reading materials. If you start to feel uneasy sitting alone and staring down at your food, you can crack open a book, whip out your Kindle or read a magazine. One hint: The more high-minded your pursuit appears, the more likely folks are either to ignore you, or to become intrigued and maybe say hello.

  • If you don’t want to endure yet another meal alone, use room service. It’s often no more expensive than local restaurants.

  • Eat well. Just because you’re alone and on the run doesn’t mean you shouldn’t take time for sit-down meals, a leisurely cup of coffee or a decadent dessert.

  • Female travelers can check out a site called Invite for a Bite, which organizes meet-ups for meals with other women. For more info, see Take a Bite Out of Solo Dining .

  • SoloDining.com is a good source of advice for those eating alone.

When You’ve Just About Had It

The constant sensory input and vigilance of traveling alone can wear you down. If you feel your attention or your body flagging, don’t be afraid to back off your ambitious itinerary, slow the pace and kick back for a bit.

When traveling abroad, seek out an ex-pat bar — locals will often know where these are — where you can hang out and speak your native tongue with some fellow expatriates and travelers. When traveling in more familiar locales, a hot shower and a night in front of the boob tube in a nice hotel room can often give you enough of a reprieve to send you out eagerly the next morning.

How to Save Money on Solo Travel

    Resource List

  • AllSinglesTravel.com offers tours and cruises for singles, guaranteeing you a roommate as long as you book 90 days in advance. The company will also make an effort to waive the single supplement for you if you’d prefer a room of your own.

  • Connecting: Solo Travel Network features tales and tips from solo travelers. Membership grants you access to a wide range of tips, a subscription to its e-mail newsletter and the opportunity to connect with other solo travelers.

  • Singles Travel International guarantees to find you a roommate whenever you pay in full by the cut-off date. If it doesn’t, the company will pay the single supplement on its tours, cruises and weekend trips.

  • Solo Traveler offers tips, resources and feature stories for solo travelers, as well as a free solo travel e-book called Travel Alone and Love it!

  • Women Traveling Together is for women whose companions can’t or won’t travel with them and who prefer not to travel alone. The company offers tours, retreats and other getaways, complete with roommate matching.

  • SafeCheckIn.com is a service that allows solo travelers to register their trips in order to make sure they get back safely. For a monthly membership fee, you can enter specific information about when you should return from a particular trip or outing. If you don’t check in with the site at the designated time, SafeCheckIn.com will attempt to contact you; if you’re out of reach, the site will reach out to your emergency contacts and, if necessary, the local authorities.

Our comparison tool will allow you to compare policies from a wide variety of UK travel insurance companies and you can tailor the policy to your individual requirements by including extras such as winter sports, holiday money and baggage cover.

As the name suggests, single trip cover will give you the protection you need for one particular trip, and cheap single trip policies start from under 10 when purchased for a typical seven day holiday.

What does single trip travel insurance cover?

With a single trip policy you’ll usually be covered for a combination of eventualities, this can include: injury illness, holiday cancellation, public liability. loss of baggage, theft of holiday money possessions and emergency repatriation.

A comprehensive insurance policy will usually also give you access to a 24 hour manned emergency telephone number to ensure any claim is resolved quickly and efficiently.

Cover can be arranged for the exact number of days you require and is suitable for a single person or a couple.

What cover levels should I look for?

When searching for single trip deals, it’s important to make sure you find a policy with the features and cover levels you need at a competitive price. Choosing a policy based on price alone can lead to you missing out on valuable cover in important areas.

We recommend that you aim to get the following minimum levels of cover when running quotes to find a single trip holiday insurance policy:

Medical cover of at least 2million (aim for 3-4million when travelling to the USA). This should also include the cost of an air ambulance back to the UK.

Personal liability cover in the region of 1 million.

Cancellation cover equal to or higher than the value of your holiday to ensure you can recoup the cost should the unexpected occur. This should also cover pre-paid excursions and activities you’ve booked so don’t forget to include these in the total value.

Cover is usually sold on a per person basis so you would need 1,500 worth of cover each if the total value of your holiday came to 3,000.

Baggage and personal belongings cover should cover the cost of replacing the personal items you are bringing with you. Expensive digital cameras and laptops can exceed the single item limit on some policies as it is common for insurers to cap the amount you can claim on any one item.

How can I save money on single trip insurance cover?

It is important to remember that cheap single trip travel insurance may not always give you the cover level you need and you will usually find that the excesses you would need to pay in the event of a claim can be higher on a cheaper policy.

To get a great deal on your travel cover when browsing through single trip insurance quotes, it’s best to compare a number of policies to ensure you can get a good combination of price vs. cover levels and then narrow the search down to a couple of prospective policies.

If you travel three or more times a year, a single trip policy is unlikely to be the most cost effective solution to your insurance needs and you should consider an annual multi-trip travel insurance policy.

If you are travelling with your family, purchasing a number of single trip policies may not be the best option. Instead, you should look for family holiday insurance which could save you some money in the process and may include extras such as additional baggage cover.

Likewise, if you plan to travel with a group, you should investigate a group travel insurance policy as this may present the best value for money solution and you can usually add extras such as cover for water sports and skiing.

    Possible exclusions

In common with the majority of travel insurance products, you may find that dangerous activities – such as winter sports, climbing, bungee jumping and diving – are not covered under the standard terms and conditions of a policy.

In many cases a claim can be rendered void if the insurer finds out that the policy holder was inebriated or under the influence of illegal drugs at the time of an accident.
