BYU grad students ranked high in top law and business school

BYU grad students ranked high in top law and business school categories by Princeton review

In preparation for an anticipated flood of college graduates, the Princeton Review published “The Best 168 Law Schools” and “The Best 296 Business Schools” on Tuesday, each with 11 different ranked categories.

Two Brigham Young University graduate programs ranked near the top of those lists.

The Marriott School of Management ranked second for most family friendly business school, while the J. Reuben Clark Law School was third in two law-school categories — most competitive students and most conservative students.

The University of Utah was also profiled in each book as being among the best law schools and business schools, though it was not on any of “Top 10” lists. Additionally, Weber State University was profiled among top business schools.

“All of the rankings in both books are based completely on student survey,” Rob Franek, senior vice president and publisher for the Princeton Review, said. “It is the opinion of students at BYU, and the other hundreds of schools.”

BYU has been a consistent top-runner among the best law and business colleges in the United States, Franek said, and those graduate schools are amongst the most powerful in the nation.

The BYU business school has made the top five family friendly list for years.

“It’s a ranking we’re certainly proud of,” said Robert Gardner, director of Alumni Relations. “It’s not one we are necessarily surprised by. It’s one we’ve always ranked well in with our family culture here. We love that ranking and we expect it to continue in that way.”

Among the MBA class that will graduate in April, 76 percent are married, up from 64 in the previous class. The percentage of married students in the MBA program is usually somewhere in the mid-to-upper 60-percent range, Gardner said, so this is a high year.

The survey questions for the family friendly category pertain to the happiness of married students, the number of kids students have and the help the school gives to students’ spouses and children.

“We have an active MBA spouse association that makes sure spouses are well-networked and well-supported,” Gardner said. “Last month they had a family barbecue at a park near campus. They set up regular meetings. It’s activities like those that really make a difference.”

The law school has consistently ranked high on the most-competitive and most-conservative lists, sitting in the top four on each since 2008.

For the most-conservative students category, known in past years as “students lean to the right,” surveyed students were asked if there was a prevailing political bent at the school and how they would categorize themselves, Franek said.

The answers students can choose from are: very liberal, liberal, middle of the road, somewhat conservative and very conservative.

“We ask students in 368 law schools and compare school to school,” Franek said. “Compared to other schools BYU has consistently been on this list.”

For the competitive category, students are asked about the number of hours they study outside class, hours of sleep they get nightly and the number of hours they believe their peers in the school study outside class.

“It is partially about their experience and partially their perception of others,” Franek said. “It speaks directly to their academic experience.”

On average, 107 students at each law school and 64 students at each business school were surveyed for the lists in the books’ 2013 editions. The survey is annual and students can fill it out throughout the school year at .

Part Time and Full Time Engineering Diploma in Singapore #coleman #university

“English was one of the subjects I was weak in, but from the help of my teacher, Ms Jaslene, I am doing it pretty well in Bukit Merah Secondary School now. I got B3 for English and earned a place of 12/36 in my current class. I am the Chairman of the class and has been recently picked to be a prefect! At Coleman College, my teacher has always taught us to be responsible for our own actions and to look before we jump and this has helped me in my building of my character. I have no issue with my studies as Coleman College had prepared me well for it during my course there. I am also glad that my other peers at Coleman College had also passed their AEIS/SAEIS and are in the government school now just like me. I have been really grateful that my teacher, Ms Jaslene, who did not give up on me when I failed my first AEIS. Instead, she gave me a PUSH and now I am in the express stream (Sec 1E)! She took time to help me whenever I needed help. Thank you teacher. Now that I can prove those who said I could not make it to the government school, wrong. Teacher always emphasizes “When there is a will, there is a way”. “

Debbie Muljadi

“I really appreciate the effort that teacher has spent on Sec 2 class. She can skip her lunch or rest time to devote enough time for the class in particular and the school in general. Although ‘Experience is the best teacher’, one still needs a real guide to teach and guide him to the right way.”

Sophie Nguyen Thanh Thuy

“Miss Siew is kind, funny person. She teaches the subject clearly and easy to understand. She uses many ways to make me to memorize the words better.”

Piamkuntham Salisa

“To Ms Jaslene, thank you for teaching me everything and wish you all the best and Happy Chinese New Year! Now I’m very good at English. I have no problem with English in the government school. All the things I’ve learnt here helped me a lot.”

Cecillia Yue Yihan

“In the past one year, I have been doing consistently well, and I have cleared all my subjects, including English. This year, I am taking my GCE ‘O’ levels. I wish I could score and get into a good junior college.”

Fertility Clinic New Jersey, NYC, Philadelphia, IVF, IUI, PGS, CCS, FET

    We Can Help

With a 86.6% delivery rate in women under 35*, Reproductive Medicine Associates of New Jersey’s in vitro fertilization (IVF) success rates are unparalleled in the US. While our success rates have been consistently above the national average for over a decade, we still understand that the treatment of infertility is more than just a published number and more than just IVF.

If you re under 35 years old and unable to get pregnant or stay pregnant after twelve months of trying, it might be time to talk to your OBGYN or a specialist about your fertility concerns. If you re over 35 and been trying for six months without success, we re happy to talk to you today .

*SART 2014; Final live birth per patient for women under 35 include all non-banking autologous cycles and banking cycles with a thaw within 12 months of banking, representing outcomes for patients who were new to a given clinic in 2014, with births realized in 2014 and 2015.

Please note: a comparison of clinic success rates may not be meaningful because a patient’s medical characteristics, treatment approaches and entrance criteria for assisted reproductive technology (ART) may vary from clinic to clinic.

    Delivering Global Fertility Care

Infertility knows no boundaries. Whether you’re from Manhattan, Orlando, San Francisco, or even Madrid, the dream of having a family sometimes needs a little help to be a reality.

We proudly announce the merger of IVI and RMANJ, two global experts leading the way in reproductive medicine research and care, to create IVI-RMA Global, the largest and most successful global fertility networks providing assisted reproduction and related services effective April 1, 2017

    Global Leaders. Local Experts.

Leading the Way in the Treatment of Infertility

We’re glad you found Reproductive Medicine Associates of New Jersey (RMANJ). Perhaps you’re exploring fertility treatment for the first time and you find yourself becoming overwhelmed by the different terms like: IVF, IUI, OI, PGS, AMH, egg donation or egg freezing.

Maybe you haven’t experienced the success you’ve been looking for elsewhere and want something different when it comes to your fertility care. Whatever road you’re on and whatever path feels right to you, we’re glad that you found us. We can help. Reproductive Medicine Associates of New Jersey is the right place to start your care and can help you find the success you’re looking for in the shortest amount of time.

    Female Infertility Treatment

While age remains our biggest barrier to success, causes of female infertility can be directly related to a variety of complications. Ovulation disorders, such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) or premature ovarian failure (POF) can be contributing factors. Fibroids or damaged fallopian tubes can also be other physical issues that can affect the reproductive system. Get your answers sooner than later about your fertility options. Make an appointment .

    Male Infertility Treatment

Male infertility issues can range from low sperm count or sperm abnormalities to hormonal imbalances or problems related to the reproductive anatomy. Health and lifestyle factors such as stress, weight, and alcohol consumption can also play a role too. Get your answers sooner than later about your fertility. Make an appointment .

    Leading The Way

Reproductive Medicine Associates of New Jersey (RMANJ) is redefining IVF and is committed to making it a more effective, safe, and successful experience. Our comprehensive patient-centered care and fertility breakthroughs result in highly recognized IVF delivery rates in the US and the world.

Advancements like extended embryo culture, trophectoderm biopsy, SelectCCS and single embryo transfer are just some of the ways that we’re helping to redefine the IVF experience and expectations of success.

According to the latest publication by the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology (SART), RMANJ once again is leading the way in the number of IVF cycles resulting in live births. Compared to U.S. averages, RMANJ’s success rates are consistently higher than the national average. More specifically, *86.6% of new patients under the age of 35 [ ]

When should I take a home pregnancy test? If I shake the pregnancy test could it affect my results? If I am taking fertility medications can they cause false positive pregnancy results? The process of taking a home pregnancy test can come with a great deal of questions and concerns, but today we have Marcy F. Maguire, [ ]

    Embry-Riddle and Temple top U #educationpage, #embry-riddle, #temple #university

Embry-Riddle and Temple top U.S. News online college rankings

For the second straight year, a private university specializing in aviation and aerospace has claimed the top spot in the U.S. News and World Report list of online bachelor’s degree programs.

Just behind Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University – Worldwide in the rankings released Tuesday are several large public universities seeking to use technology to expand their market profile.

Temple University, the University of Oklahoma, Arizona State University and Western Kentucky University, in that order, round out the top five in the latest U.S. News analysis.

Temple and Arizona State also fared well on another U.S. News ranking: Temple, which is in Philadelphia, ranked first for the third straight year in the magazine’s analysis of online programs for master’s degrees in business administration. Arizona State ranked fifth, tied with the University of Florida.

“Online learning is relatively new but growing in popularity because of the flexibility it offers,” Anita Narayan, managing editor of education at U.S. News, said in a statement. “We developed the Best Online Programs rankings to provide students with the tools to identify programs that offer top faculty, positive student engagement and generous support services — all of which are key to productive online learning.”

The online market for higher education is large and fluid. It encompasses degree programs at public, private and for-profit schools as well as what are known as massive open online courses, or MOOCs, that students can take for free without earning credit.

Consumers often turn to lists to navigate such complicated markets. But exactly how to rank online programs is a matter of debate. Online students run the gamut from those who are young and taking college courses for the first time, to working adults who might have some credits or relevant professional experience and are seeking to complete a degree. Some online programs mix in a few in-person sessions, and some don’t. Federal data on graduation rates tends to focus on first-time students, not those who are returning to school.

One of the largest online schools, the public University of Maryland University College, said in 2016 that it does not participate in the U.S. News online rankings because it disagrees with the magazine’s methodology.

U.S. News said it ranked 311 online bachelor’s programs, using factors such as graduation and retention rates, class size, faculty credentials, participation in best practices, student debt and scores on reputational surveys. Here are this year’s top 20.

    Carlow University Graduate Program Reviews

    Graduation Year: 2017

Carlow has a rich tradition of excellence with a warm, friendly atmosphere. The doctoral program is perfect for scholar-clinical practitioners. Superior quality of education with phenomenal faculty. Exceptional challenge-and the open, inclusive cohorts and experienced faculty make the whole Carlow experience the best in Pittsburgh! No 25-year old teachers who fill in for real professors and no revolving door turnover among faculty. Most brilliant people I’ve ever met. I love Carlow!

    Graduation Year: 2017

I enjoy how accessable and inclusive the professors are at Carlow. Every theoretical and philosophical viewpoint is considered and allowed to be used and debated to create well rounded students who are capable and effective clinicians. I feel very supported by Carlow’s professors and by the school. I highly recommend Carlow!

“A friend who is a maven in finding outstanding resources, recommended Janice and Custom College Visits as we began the daunting college selection process. We worked with Janice on two fronts; to help create a list of colleges and to set-up meaningful colleges visits. The college visits were also a lot of fun for us as a family and very informative on so many levels. More importantly Janice helped make the college selection process manageable, not so daunting after all, and we felt no stone was left unturned in this important decision.

Tracy P. Parent of a New York City high school Senior

Thank you so much for planning such a wondrous experience for our son. The careful attention to detail was evident at every turn. Custom College Visits planning effort provided an appropriate path of discovery for our son and for us.

Michael C. New Jersey parent of a high school Junior

Hi Janice, Our trip was a thoroughly enjoyable family adventure! Thank you so much for the unique opportunities that you created for our daughter at each college. Meeting with a student at Harvard, was probably the most informative way to start the entire trip. She devoted a lot of time (in the rain) providing real college life details. She swiped us into dining halls, dorms & buildings that we might not have seen otherwise. The sophomore session at Princeton was wonderful! Thank you so much for everything that you did! We really were able to get the most out of each campus visit! Best, Julie

Julie, Parent of a high school Junior in Southern California

I found working with Custom College Visits a very positive experience. They were able to pinpoint colleges that were best suited for my daughter and the travel plans were well organized. In addition, they were able to set up an interview with a member of a college color guard, as my daughter had expressed interest in going to a school that had a color guard. I am very pleased with my experience with Custom College Visits, and would recommend them highly.

Mark L. Parent of high school junior in Northern California

Lili got accepted into her first choice school today (early decision): Boston University! She is thrilled beyond belief and relieved as well. We could not have done it without your help, it was invaluable. I think the High School Honors program she did there was probably very helpful and we would not have know about it without your forwarding the information to us. You rock! So, I am tipping my hat today to both you and Lili!

Kim T. Parent of high school senior in Kansas

I am happy to tell you that Nivi has been accepted early decision to Brown University. She is the first ivy leaguer in our family and we couldn’t be more proud! Her decision to apply was made easier because of the excellent experience she had during her customized tour via your company so thank you so much! We will be sure to recommend you to our friends here..

Gayathri S. Parent of high school senior Chennai, India

Thank you again for being so good at what you do. Our trip to the US was a huge success. I was on the verge of cancelling the trip but knew I couldn’t let my son down. That I even found you on the internet was a direct answer to my prayer for a miracle. The itinerary worked very well. I knew I was in good hands even before I boarded the plane to the U.S. and your attention to detail far exceeded my expectation.

Egbe O. Parent of international high school student

We had a wonderful trip to Philadelphia and Boston thanks to Janice Caine of Custom College Visits. She worked out an itinerary from start to finish. We visited 9 schools and it was as smooth as possible. Janice worked out tours and information sessions as well as meetings with tennis coaches. We have boy/girl twins and both were happy which is not an easy achievement. Not only did Janice work out the schedule but she recommended great schools in both towns. We would highly recommend her.

Phil S. Parent of high school students SF Bay Area

“Thank you SO MUCH for your involvement in the Splash Parents’ Program this weekend! I am just reviewing the feedback forms, and your presentation received rave reviews across the board; many parents cited it as the highlight of the program for them! Some verbatim quotes include: ‘The Planning and Preparing for College Visits was a great eye opener;’ Thank you for all the effort, energy, and enthusiasm you put into making the event such a success.”

Marisa M. Coordinator, Splash Parents’ Program Stanford University

Our college process was two-fold. It began with getting a jump start on the standardized testing, and not waiting until spring of junior year to focus. I believe our outcome was successful because we had a well-managed plan helped along by an expert, Janice Caine, of Custom College Visits.

Lisa L. Parent of high school students SF Bay Area

Happy New Year! Wanted to let you know that Charlie was accepted to Johns Hopkins Early Decision! Great news and very exciting all around. Thank you for all your help.

Beth A. Parent of a high school senior. Massachusetts

Physical Therapy – University of Texas at El Paso #at #still

    Scholarships for Disadvantaged Students

    Learn More About Physical Therapy

    Physical Therapy

Greetings from the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Program of the University of Texas at El Paso!

The College of Health Sciences and the University continue to experience rapid advancement. The DPT Program is housed at Campbell Building at 1101 N Campbell about a mile from the main UTEP campus. The Campbell Building has undergone various renovations over the past several years, including the recently opened $1.3 million Human Anatomy Teaching Laboratory. Additionally we regularly use the state-of-the-art hospital simulation lab at the Health Sciences and Nursing Building on main campus.

These facilities allow us to train our students for various practice settings. Physical Therapy is a very dynamic profession with generalist as well as specialist opportunities for practice. There is high demand for our graduates in this region as well as across the state and nation. Physical Therapists are respected members of the health care team with many opportunities to practice with children and adults in settings such as geriatrics, sports rehabilitation, orthopedics, wound care, acute care, women s health, pediatrics, and neuro-rehabilitation. Physical therapists are well paid but the most gratifying aspect of this profession is the satisfaction we have from helping people achieve their personal best in physical function. We are a caring profession.

The UTEP DPT degree requires 9 consecutive semesters, full-time, in a lock-step program. Students enter as a cohort in May and graduate in May, 3 years later. The Program is both challenging and rewarding. We are particularly proud of our unique model of integrating Spanish language training in our curriculum.

Following graduation, students are eligible to take the national licensure exam (National Physical Therapy Exam). Successful outcome on the licensure examination qualifies the graduate to work in any of the 50 states. We are fully accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE), recognized by United States Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.

CAPTE Accreditation information can be found at:

We welcome you to consider joining our wonderful profession and to receive your education in our unique region.

The UTEP DPT Admissions application opens on PTCAS July 1 at The deadline to apply is November 1, 2016 for summer 2017 admission. The Program begins May 30, 2017 with the new 9-semester curriculum. You may learn about the curriculum at this Website under the link About the Program

You may learn more about our application process at this Website under Prospective Students and at our PTCAS directory site found at: navid=10737426783 .

Given the high number of potential applicants, we are unable to advise potential applicants in person cannot provide individual tours.

If you are interested in learning more about UTEP DPT Program s unique model of integrating Spanish language training in our curriculum, please read:

Congratulations to Dr Matthew McLean, UTEP DPT Class of 2012 and to Dr Nicholas Valencia, UTEP DPT Class of 2013

Both Dr McLean and Dr Valencia have earned certification as an Orthopaedics Clinical Specialist (OCS) after passing a rigorous national examination. This is an outstanding accomplishment and we applaud them for serving as role models for our current students

UTEP Trains Health Care, Social Services Providers to Spot Human Trafficking Victims

Human trafficking victims are highly likely to come into contact with health professionals in emergency rooms, clinics and other health care settings. Clinical Psychology #sas, #school #of #arts #and #sciences, #rutgers #university, #state

The clinical science program at Rutgers is designed for students with a primary interest in research and scholarship in addition to clinical practice. The majority of the faculty have a cognitive or behavioral approach to assessment and treatment, and the program is geared primarily to students who wish to receive this type of training. There are also more limited opportunities for students whose interests are eclectic and who may supplement training in cognitive behavior therapy with courses and supervised experiences in other approaches (e.g. family systems). For students whose primary interests are in the practice of clinical psychology, the University also offers graduate training in clinical psychology leading to the Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) degree through the separate Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology (GSAPP).

The Clinical Ph.D. program at Rutgers University has been an American Psychological Association accredited training program since 1965. Questions about APA accreditation status can be directed to the program or to the APA Office on Accreditation at (202) 336-5979, or by mail at 750 First St. NE, Washington, DC 20002-4242

We are a member of the Academy of Psychological Clinical Science, a coalition of doctoral and internship training programs that share a common goal of producing and applying scientific knowledge to the assessment, understanding, and amelioration of human problems. Membership in the Academy is granted only after a thorough peer review process. The Rutgers Clinical Ph.D. program was recently accredited by the Psychological Clinical Science Accreditation System, as well. Our membership in the Academy and accreditation by the Psychological Clinical Science Accreditation System indicates that we are committed to excellence in scientific training, and to using clinical science as the foundation for design, implementing, and evaluating assessment and intervention procedures. We view clinical psychology as a specialty area within the discipline of psychology, and believe that research, scholarship, and clinical application should be firmly grounded in the core knowledge base of psychology as a science.

The core clinical faculty are drawn from the Department of Psychology, the Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology. the Center of Alcohol Studies. and the adjacent Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. The breadth of faculty interests and expertise in research permits students to create a program of study tailored to their particular scholarly interests. Clinical faculty conduct research on cognitive and behavior therapies, health psychology, psychophysiology, applied behavior analysis, prevention, substance abuse, emotional intelligence, cognitive functioning, eating disorders, anxiety disorders, and autism. Students have the opportunity to work with child, adolescent, adult, and older adult populations in multiple research labs at Rutgers and affiliated institutions.

The training approach relies heavily upon a mentorship model of training. Students are matched with a research mentor when they begin their graduate training program, and involve themselves in one or more research projects upon entering the program, initially as apprentices in ongoing projects, and subsequently as independent investigators. Students may study not only with clinical psychology faculty, but also with non-clinical researchers in the Psychology Department, and it is not uncommon for students to participate in more than one research group. Equally important is the goal of helping students to develop clinical skills. As in the research component of the program, our philosophy is that an apprenticeship model is most effective in teaching clinical skills. Students have available as role models a large number of faculty members who embody the clinical scientist concept. These faculty not only conduct research, but also are experienced clinical psychologists who are directly involved in clinical practice of various kinds. Students also have access to doctoral faculty in the Psy.D. program who focus primarily on clinical practice.

Our graduates consistently score well on the Examination for Professional Practice in Psychology (EPPP) exam and the vast majority go on to attain licensure to practice psychology. Despite this, our program is primarily a research-focused program and is not a good match for students interested in careers focused primarily on clinical service delivery. For additional information about Clinical Ph.D. program selection and admissions procedures, please see a website that provides information and resources that may be helpful in your graduate school selection process.

    About Nursing Homes

Nursing homes act as a cost-effective way to enable patients with injuries, acute illnesses or postoperative care needs to recover in an environment outside a hospital.

Nursing homes also serve a second purpose in caring for residents who have chronic illnesses and long-term care needs. These people will probably never return home and may die in the nursing home, in a hospital or in hospice.

For many chronic care recipients, long term care is an evolving process of losing more and more physical or mental capacity. A nursing home is usually the last stop in this process. The nursing home is equipped to handle medical problems, disability and in some cases behavior problems that cannot be handled by any other provider. Because there are now so many other options for care prior to a nursing home, the trend is that residents on average are much sicker and older than in the past.

About 91% of all nursing home residents are age 65 and older, and 98% of these people use Medicare as their primary insurance. So any change in the way Medicare handles long-term care costs will affect the utilization of nursing homes. The Balanced Budget Act of 1996 and Medicare’s subsequent implementation of The Prospective Payment System, has shortened hospital stays and as a result, more and more elderly patients are spending time in a nursing facility before they are well enough to go home.

Many elderly care recipients, for whom Medicare is not an option, are in a nursing home because they don’t have money to pay for other types of care. These people are receiving care, paid in-part or fully by Medicaid, or they are spending their assets in order to qualify for Medicaid.

A Semmelweis Egyetem Tűzoltó utcai II. sz. Gyermekgyógyászati Klinika több, mint 125 éve várja a gyógyulni vágyókat. Osztályainkon és rendelőinkben optimizmust és reményt sugárzó környezetet igyekeztünk kialakítani a beteg gyermekek és a velük egy kórterembe felvett szülők számára a kényszerű ápolási idő eltöltésének megkönnyítésére.

    Orvosaink magas tudományos fokozattal rendelkeznek.

A tudományos kutatás fontos hátteret biztosít a mindennapi gyermekgyógyászati ellátáshoz.

A Tűzoltó utcai Gyermekklinika Betegeiért Alapítvány

A klinikánkon fekvőbetegként tartózkodó gyermekek foglalkoztatásának megteremtésére jött létre a Játszóház Alapítvány.
