Best Car Extended Warranty Reviews

Finding the best extended auto warranty coverage is not the easiest thing these days – there’s lots of clutter and wading through it all can be very daunting. This is why we are glad that you are on this site. We’ve spent months researching and testing the best auto warranty companies and the ones listed below are the crème de la crème. Each has been tested against our criteria of affordability, response in handling claims and efficiency in getting you back on the road. If you want peace of mind, you’ll find it in any one of our top three choices:

#1) Our Top Recommendation: Autopom

Autopom is our first recommendation for anyone looking to protect their car under a solid vehicle protection plan. • All coverage plans offered are backed by an insurance company
  • Unlimited starting mileage (most brands up to 14 model years old)

#2) We Also Recommend: Endurance

Endurance is one of the largest providers of vehicle protection coverage in the nation. They are the only vehicle service contract company in the country that is both an A+ rated member of the Better Business Bureau and an accredited certified member of the Vehicle Protection Association.

Endurance has the distinct advantage of not being a broker, allowing for swifter setup of coverage and speedier settlement of claims. When choosing Endurance, you will purchase with confidence and peace of mind. All Endurance products are fully backed by Wesco Insurance Company, an Amtrust Insurance carrier that has been rated “A” (EXCELLENT) by A.M. Best.

Endurance pays the mechanic directly for your auto repairs, including all parts and labor, making it quick and effortless. Their protection plans are accepted by ANY licensed repair facility nationwide. Affordable payment plans are available and each plan comes with a 30-day money back guarantee. Endurance also provides roadside assistance and rental coverage with no deductible for up to 5 days.

Note: Coverage is not currently offered in California. Cars that are more than 10-model years old and/or with more than 150,000 miles may not qualify.

CLICK HERE to visit Endurance and receive your FREE, no-obligation quote immediately.

#3) We Also Recommend: CARCHEX

CARCHEX is our third recommendation for anyone looking to protect their car under a solid extended warranty. This company is the gold standard and has been featured on some of America’s top news outlets including ABC, CBS and NBC. CARCHEX is also one of the few extended car warranty companies online that has received a consistent A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau (BBB). In fact, 99.9% of the people that use CARCHEX report 100% satisfaction with the level of protection they get and the responsiveness in how claims are handled. And if that level of satisfaction wasn’t enough, CARCHEX offers a no-quibble 30 day money back guarantee.

In terms of customer support and coverage, CARCHEX is perhaps the best you’ll find anywhere. From start to finish, your interaction with their quoting systems, selection process and friendly staff is one that will leave you happy for months to come. Little doubt then Pat Goss of TV’s MotorWeek calls it the “best company anyone can choose for extended warranty protection”.

The only downside: Coverage is not currently offered in California, Missouri and Washington. Cars that are more than 10-model years old and/or with more than 125,000 miles may not qualify.

CLICK HERE to visit CARCHEX and receive your FREE, no-obligation quote immediately.

2012 Chevrolet Cruze (Chevy) Review, Ratings, Specs, Prices, and Photos –

#

2012 Chevrolet Cruze Review

Dislikes

  • Unremarkable exterior
  • Climate controls placed too low
  • Not much driving excitement

The 2012 Chevrolet Cruze is a practical, comfortable, fuel-efficient, and a strong value, but it does lack the nimble, tossable feel that some small-car fans appreciate.

For decades, Chevrolet filled out its lineup with compact cars that were adequate, but arguably not on par with segment leaders like the Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla. But change is afoot at GM, and the 2012 Cruze is arguably better in many respects than those models—and with the likes of the Hyundai Elantra, Ford Focus, and Mazda3, it’s one of the segment leaders.

The Cruze was an all-new design for the U.S. last year. While it’s conservative on the outside, the interior makes a strong presentation, with rich materials, some stunning two-tone combinations, and an upscale feel. GM has borrowed some of the design cues from its larger Malibu sedan, and the Cruze’s cabin has an almost mid-size feel, with enough space for four adults (five in a pinch), plus excellent adjustability for drivers and a huge trunk.

Going just by the specs page might lead to a little confusion; there are two four-cylinder engines offered in the Cruze, but it’s the smaller of the two that’s the ‘premium’ pick. The base 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine performs fine, though it’s a little bit loud when pressed and you do need to rev it to move quickly. But step up to the 1.4-liter, turbocharged four (1.4T) that’s offered throughout much of the lineup, as well as in the high-mileage Cruze Eco, and you’ll find that it’s not only smoother and more refined but produces more power down low and pairs well with the six-speed automatic (a six-speed manual is offered, too). EPA ratings are best for the 1.4T, and in Cruze Eco form—with weight savings and special aero improvements—it gets 42 mpg highway.

Review continues below

In most other ways, the Cruze feels almost almost like a mid-sizer. You probably won’t call it nimble or tossable, but its isolated cabin and absorbent ride will please most day-to-day users. It’s one of the quietest vehicles in its class, damping out road and wind noise and soaking up major road shocks and potholes well—even if its ride is on the taut side. Seating is a strong point; you’ll find more front headroom than most vehicles in its class, and it’s a great pick for taller drivers as there’s so much rearward seat travel. Just beware, you’ll be crunching the knees of those in the back seat—which is, otherwise good for two adults across.

The Cruze is assembled in Ohio, but it’s a ‘world car,’ with specialized versions sold in Europe, Asia, and such. The structure has earned top crash-tests everywhere, and the U.S. market is no exception. Safety equipment is top-notch in its class, too, with standard side-thorax bags and knee bags, and Bluetooth hands-free connectivity and a USB port are offered on most models. Remote start, heated leather seats, automatic climate control, and a screen-based nav system are also available.

  • Fuel Economy / MPG
  • 2012 Cruze LTZ has over 100,000 miles and is still very solid and rattle-free. It handles very well and gets great gas mileage (usually 34 mpg or more in mixed city and highway, and I’ve gotten almost 50 mpg. 2012 Cruze LTZ has over 100,000 miles and is still very solid and rattle-free. It handles very well and gets great gas mileage (usually 34 mpg or more in mixed city and highway, and I’ve gotten almost 50 mpg when driving 45 mph for long distances on back roads where there were no traffic stops for miles). Original tires lasted 77,000 miles. Original brakes still over 50% with over 100,000 miles on them. It is wearing very well with interior and exterior still looking close to new. Only one repair needed and it was covered under warranty – (valve cover crack – covered under 100K mi drive train warranty – replaced with upgraded part). But, unfortunately, there are a handful of designed-in issues that from time-to-time are annoying. They include:
    – Everything seems to be lethargic to react. Hit the gas pedal on the 1.4L turbo and wait a bit before anything happens at all, then once it starts to happen, each step is oddly long. Transmission takes long to actually downshift, engine at first does nothing, then slowly starts to accelerate (it seems as if the only thing pushing is a great great grandfather chipmunk), then after almost being killed because of not being able to get out of other’s way, the engine finally gains enough rpm’s for the turbo to kick-in and then power is good at that point. If A/C is on – it’s much worse. Cruise control, navigation, A/C control, and other items all seem to react especially slow as well. Almost as if the car waits to see if you really want to do what you’ve keyed-in.
    – Automatic climate control seems to not react to actual cabin temperature very quickly and tends to over-cool. A sensor measures sunlight and seems to overcompensate. Unless it’s an overcast day, or nighttime, you’ll be frozen by A/C as the system seems to over-react to sunlight and not react quickly enough to actual temperature measured in the cabin. I have to set temp to above 80 for it to keep it at low to mid 70’s when the sun is out.
    – Temperature and fan speed setting knobs are too close to where people’s knees are and tend to get bumped. Temp and fan speed are often reset accidentally.
    – A little more rear seat leg room would be nice.
    – Driver visibility is relatively poor due to lots of thick support pillars, headrests, and high rear deck height. Though this is a problem on nearly all newer model cars. (I can’t believe how much better visibility is on my old hardtop collector cars).

To sum it up, the car is great in a lot of ways. The nuisance issues are things you get used-to and adjust-to to some degree. Overall it’s a good car and has been so reliable that I’m almost afraid to trade it in and risk loosing its attributes. But I sure wish that the nuisance issues didn’t exist either. + More

Extended Auto Warranty – Vehicle Service Contract Info Center #extended #auto

    #

    Vehicle Service Contract Information Center

Welcome to ExtendedAutoWarranty.com, home of the Internet’s largest library of resources on extended auto warranties. We are an independent team of researchers, reviewers, and auto protection experts. We provide unbiased and honest information that we publish ourselves as well as material found on the Internet that has been deemed relevant and reputable.

It is our mission to provide consumers with the advice they need without the hassle of finding it.

Because so many “review sites” and “information resources” provide opinions that have been influenced by the company under review, it is difficult to find a straight answer to your questions. We scour the Internet, call every company, and compile then share our research outcome with you. At ExtendedAutoWarranty.com, you get all the advice you need and none of the bias that you don’t.

We were like you once: Owning a car with repairs that we could barely afford, constantly searching for a better way to deal with costly repair bills. But one thing we found extremely difficult was getting information that was not only truthful but unbiased. We found dozens of websites claiming to provide information on the extended warranty industry that contained less-than-credible resources. As a result, we brought this website to life. And by doing so, we became the #1 Consumer Extended Vehicle Protection website on the Internet.

    Extended Auto Warranty Companies Reviewed

Finding the best plan at the right price is not easy so you’ll have to take time to shop around. Of course you have to first decide if you actually need the warranty. This will depend on personal preferences and how much of the future risks you are willing to take care of. While most cars will require numerous repairs for as long as you own them, some will need no more than routine maintenance. Then there are those that will require unexpected but very expensive repairs. Just like when purchasing a vehicle, the best way is to compare different options on the internet. Fortunately, there are independent companies that review and rate extended auto warranty providers for clients.

Extended auto coverage is available for new as well as used cars. Since new cars come with a factory warranty, the need for extended coverage largely depends on how long you intend to keep the vehicle. For example, most factory plans usually last three years or up to 36,000 miles. Now if you intend to keep the car for two or three years, purchasing an extended warranty may make little sense. However, if you plan on keeping the car for a long time after the factory warranty expires then it’s a good idea to extend your protection. If buying a used car, there is a high probability that the factory coverage plan will not be transferable or will have expired so you’ll need extra protection.

It’s always good to know what is covered, and what’s not covered by the Vehicle Service Contract you intend to buy. Does it cover wear and tear? What about breakdown? Under breakdown, some warranties cover only the parts that break. But you know well that not all parts fail due to breakdown so such a policy will be less inclusive than is desirable. Some policies extend coverage to parts that wear out with time under the “wear and tear” subtitle. Again, not all extended policies have this feature. Some contracts do not cover ABS brakes and most of them don’t cover overheating. Transmission, engine, seals and gaskets, drive axle assembly and turbocharger/superchargers will usually be covered, though it is better to fully explore specific options before committing to a plan.

Some companies require that you pay the repair and submit a receipt to the warranty provider for reimbursement. While this is not a bad idea, you may sometimes have to wait for weeks or even months before you get your money back. Then there are those that pay the repair shop directly and almost immediately. For purposes of convenience, never purchase warranties that don’t pay the shop directly.

Claim using a warranty or guarantee – Citizens Advice #guarantee, #warranty,

    #

Claim using a warranty or guarantee

This advice applies to England Print

Warranties and guarantees add to your legal rights. Each one is different, but they tend to be useful if:

    • something’s gone wrong after the first 6 months and you want a repair or replacement – it’s tricky to do this as you may have to prove you didn’t cause the problem
    • you bought an item abroad and the manufacturer is based in the UK
    • a trader’s gone out of business and there’s a problem with the goods or service they provided

Consider using your legal rights instead

It may be easier to get your money back, a repair or replacement without using your warranty or guarantee.

Find out if it’s easier to use your legal rights on faulty goods instead. It’s usually easier within the first 6 months. You have legal rights for up to 6 years (5 years in Scotland) if there’s a fault.

If you still want to claim using a warranty or guarantee

You may want to use your warranty or guarantee if you think it’ll be easier – for example, if you bought the item 7 months ago and your guarantee lasts for a year.

Check your paperwork to find out how you make a claim. The warranty or guarantee could be on your receipt, in an email or given to you as a separate leaflet.

    The paperwork will also say:

    • how long the warranty or guarantee lasts for
    • what you’re entitled to, eg a refund, repair or replacement

If you can’t find the guarantee or warranty, contact the seller or trader and ask if they have a copy or the manufacturer’s contact details.

When you make a claim, you’ll usually need:

    • proof of purchase – usually a receipt showing where and when you bought the goods
    • details of what the problem is
    • a photocopy of the warranty or guarantee

If you haven’t filled in a return card on a manufacturer’s guarantee

You should’ve filled in a registration card and sent it back to the manufacturer.

If you haven’t, your guarantee may not be valid – try looking for a contact number on the guarantee, and get in touch. You might also be able to register online.

If you can’t find contact details, call the seller or trader and ask for advice. They may say the guarantee is no longer valid.

    Check the small print

Only the person who bought the item can make a claim, unless your warranty or guarantee uses the phrase ‘third party rights’. It’s important you look out these words if you bought it second hand or were given it as a gift.

Look out for the time limit – this’ll be when the warranty or guarantee expires.

Check whether you’ll have to pay postage, packing and transportation costs if you have to send something back – the document should say.

If you don’t understand something in an extended warranty

You may have extra rights if the document makes it look very difficult for you to claim, or the wording is particularly tricky to understand. They’re called ‘unfair terms’ if they’re so difficult you can’t make any sense of them.

If you want to cancel your extended warranty

You may get an automatic 14-day ‘cooling-off period’ if you signed up for the extended warranty on the phone or online – this means you can cancel the warranty and get a refund.

You’re also allowed to change your mind and get a refund within the first 45 days if:

    • you’ve taken out an extended warranty for electrical goods for at least 12 months
    • you bought the warranty at the same time as buying the goods

    ‘Electrical goods’ include:

    • smaller things like kettles and toasters
    • bigger things like lawnmowers and dishwashers
    • entertainment devices, like laptops and TVs

After the first 45 days you can still cancel the warranty, but you’ll only get a partial refund – the amount you’ll get depends on how long ago you took out the warranty. You can’t do this if you’ve already made a claim.

    Further help

Contact the Citizens Advice consumer helpline on 03454 04 05 06 if you need more help – a trained adviser can give you advice over the phone. You can also use an online form or write to them.

If you’re in Northern Ireland, contact Consumerline .

    California Lemon Law Attorneys and Lawyers #california #lemon #law #attorneys, #lemon

    #

As a California resident. you have rights under our California lemon law .

Under the California lemon law you have the right to a repurchase of your vehicle proven to be a “lemon” under the state statute.

Under the California lemon law you have the right to receive a refund based upon the original acquisition price of the vehicle, less a charge for usage based upon the odometer miles at the first of what became repeated repair attempts.

Under the California lemon law you have the right to the attorneys fees and costs being billed to the automobile manufacturer, not you.

Under the California lemon law you have the right to ask for a new replacement vehicle for your defective new vehicle, if both you and the manufacturer agree upon it.

Under the California lemon law you have the right to hire our law firm with no out-of-pocket expenses.

Under the California lemon law you have the right to keep your vehicle and pay us nothing if we do not reach settlement on your case.

California residents who purchased their new or used car, SUV, truck, van, cross-over, or motorhome with a manufacturer’s warranty have lemon law rights when their purchase (or lease) has been subject to too many repeated warranty repairs. In fact, the California lemon law is one of the strongest lemon laws in the nation. It offers the best consumer protection, has built-in provisions for attorneys fees and costs, and bases the refund upon the initial purchase price, not the current value of the vehicle. Having California’s largest statewide lemon law attorney firm represent you in a lemon law case/claim is your best consumer protection and representation choice.

If you’re having any type of repeated mechanical problem(s) with your vehicle, we encourage you to use our free auto expert question/answer feature. Please CLICK HERE to post your question. Your question to our auto expert Randy Sottile, and his answer back to you will be kept confidential to your email address, and not shared with anyone else.

Call1-858-342-0073or email the Lemon Law Auto Expert, Randy Sottile, about your vehicle problems/issues!

Repeated warranty repairs? Unsafe vehicle? Dealer not getting your vehicle repaired? Are you “done” with your defective vehicle, and want it bought back? Need to know what your legal rights are under our California lemon law? You may have a California lemon law claim and case that will allow you to return the vehicle under the California state lemon law statute for a buyback and get a refund of all the monies and payments you have made, as well as a payoff of any loan or lease balance. California lemon law cases can also settle with the manufacturer replacing the offending new lemon vehicle with a new, current year model of your choice of the same MSRP price. In some cases we can negotiate with the manufacturer to allow you to keep your vehicle (if you desire to) and receive a payment in the thousands of dollars for the inconvenience you have encountered with all the past repair visits. Call us today at 1-800-225-3666 and receive a free California lemon law consultation.

California lemon law relief for all California residents. Your lemon law rights are all within the California lemon law statute, which is located on this website. The California lemon law (Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act, and the Tanner Consumer Protection Act / California Civil Code Section 1793.2, 1793.22) was enacted to protect California consumers from having to deal with repeated repair visits back to the dealership for factory warranty repairs.

Has your new or used vehicle been in the shop over and over again for dealer warranty repairs? You may have a California lemon law claim and case that will allow you to return the vehicle under the California state lemon law statute for a buyback and get a refund of all the monies and payments you have made, as well as a payoff of any loan or lease balance. California lemon law cases can also settle with the manufacturer replacing the offending new lemon vehicle with a new, current year model of your choice of the same MSRP price. In some cases we can negotiate with the manufacturer to allow you to keep your vehicle (if you desire to) and receive a payment in the thousands of dollars for the inconvenience you have encountered with all the past repair visits.

Any new or used vehicle that has remaining factory warranty coverage, or manufacturer “Certified Pre-Owned” used car warranty coverage may be a candidate for consumer protection under the California lemon law.

Consumer information on lemon law warranty repair attempts: To protect your legal rights for a potential California lemon law claim/case, we suggest the following. When visiting your authorized dealer for repairs to your vehicle under the manufacturers warranty, be sure that the wording on the Repair Order of your complaint are your words of your description of the problem/symptom, not the Service Advisors interpretation of what you are saying. Equally important for a California lemon law claim/case is that when the vehicle goes back for a “repeat of same problem/symptom”, that you keep the customer complaint wording consistent on each Repair Order in sequence. This adds strength to your California lemon law case. Mentioning possible action under the California lemon law to the Service Advisor is not recommended. Discussing your vehicle being a “lemon” will almost certainly “flag” your vehicle, and more than likely it would come back after a repair with “could not duplicate customers concern”. Manufacturers are very savvy on lemon law issues – and so are their dealers. After all, they have trained them.

If you are missing any Repair Order invoices, you can request copies of them from your Service Advisor. The Service Advisor can also print out what is known as a “warranty repair history printout”, which details all repair visits to any/all authorized dealers for warranty repairs. Again, it is best not to mention “lemon law” to the Service Advisor as you will likely not get the copies of the documents you are requesting. A California lemon law case and claim are predicated upon Repair Order Invoices. These are the proof of your claim and repair attempts. Keep them in a safe place, away from your vehicle.

Important lemon law rights notice to consumers with vehicles with recently expired factory warranties: If your vehicle is outside of the factory “bumper-to-bumper” or “powertrain” warranty, you may still be eligible for relief under the California lemon law. If you have had four (4) or more repair attempt visits at an authorized dealership for the same issue/problem/complaint before expiration of factory warranty coverage, and have repair order invoice documents that support this (or you get a warranty repair history printout from your dealer), you may be eligible for a substantial cash settlement under the lemon law. If you gave the automobile manufacturer written or verbal notice (telephoned in to Customer Assistance Center) of the continued warranty non-conformity issues during the warranty coverage period and continue to have the same issue/problem/complaint, you may potentially entitled to a repurchase (buyback) of your vehicle, even though it is out of factory warranty. We invite you to call us to discuss your out-of-warranty vehicle’s problems and warranty repairs history. The same applies to “Certified Pre-Owned Warranty” used vehicles, which enjoy the same lemon law protection as new vehicles.

The California lemon law also requires that the automobile manufacturer pay for the consumer’s hourly attorney’s fees on a case and claim that settles for a repurchase (buyback), new replacement vehicle, or a cash settlement payment. This makes the lemon law economically feasible for consumers who would not otherwise be in a position to hire a lemon law attorney.
