Best Days Of The Week To Book Airfare, From Jeanenne Tornatore

Best Days Of The Week To Book Airfare, From Jeanenne Tornatore (VIDEO)

Orbitz Travel Expert Jeanenne Tornatore shared a few handy tips on when to book airfare for the cheapest rates possible.

“When you’re looking at when to book, earlier in the week can be better, since a lot of airlines put their fare sales out earlier in the week,” she explained, suggesting Tuesday and Wednesday as the most cost-effective days to book flights.

If you know you will be traveling during the busy summer season, Jeanenne recommends booking farther in advance, especially for popular destinations.

“Fare prices go up as flights get fuller, and some of them will get booked to capacity during the busier summer months,” she told us.

As far as specific time of day, Jeanenne told us that some people believe midnight is the best time, as some companies upload their most recent options at that time.

“I personally don’t stay up that late!” she laughed, “but if you’re looking for a deal, try midnight.”

For more of Jeanenne’s expert travel tips, view the slideshow below:

Moses spends another forty more days on the mountain, then returns. God replaces 2 tablets, God passes by while Moses was in the cleft of the rock. God said he would perform new miracles and Moses face is shining in view of the people so he puts a veil over his face. Ex 34:1-9; 2 Cor 3.

Now in the second year, in the second month, on the twentieth of the month, the cloud was lifted from over the tabernacle of the testimony; Numbers 10:11

Israel departs from Sinai for promised land after spending 11 months, 5 days at Sinai.

They navigated about 20 stops over a period of between 10.5 and 11 months between Sinai and Kadesh Barnea

Then the sons of Israel, the whole congregation, came to the wilderness of Zin in the first month; and the people stayed at Kadesh. Numbers 20:1

They arrived at Kadesh Barnea in the first of the month of the third year or exactly 24 months after leaving Egypt.

They celebrated their second Passover at Sinai, then leave almost immediately afterwards for Kadesh. They arrived at Kadesh and immediately celebrated their third Passover.

They spend 38 continuous years at Kadesh Barnea (they do not leave and come back), then depart for the Jordan in the 40th year.

Many commentators mistakenly believe Num 20:1 was the 40th year. but they are wrong. The verse tells us they arrived at Kadesh in the first month, but does not tell us the year! It does not say, the first month in the 40th year . Since Israel left Sinai in the second month of the second year after leaving Egypt (14 months), this means they arrived at Kadesh in the first month of the third year after leaving Egypt or 24 months. First Week Signs Of Pregnancy – Get To Know Them

To most of us, the first week sign of pregnancy is normally a missed period. However, you can only be sure if a home pregnancy test or a blood test gives a positive result. A missed period cannot be construed to be a 100% proof of pregnancy as it can be caused by various other factors such as use of birth control medication, stress, illness, quick loss or gain of weight or use of new medicines. There could be some other medical reason if you miss your menstrual cycle more than once.

The first week sign of pregnancy could be confusing if you have bleeding when the menstrual cycle is expected. This is known as implantation bleeding and it is light pink or brown in color. It can occur between 6 and 12 days after ovulation when the egg is fertilized and the implantation takes place in the uterus. This bleeding might send the wrong signal that you are not pregnant but this is not the case. As long as you do not get back pain, cramping or increased bleeding, implantation bleeding can do no harm.

The first week of pregnancy symptoms include feeling tired, getting irritated, tenderness of breasts, either craving or aversion to food, heightening of the sensitivity to smell, light-headedness or feeling dizzy. Some of these symptoms might be menstruation related and some or all of the symptoms might form part of first week symptoms of pregnancy. Each woman reacts differently to pregnancy and has different levels of symptoms. These symptoms are the result of the escalating levels of progesterone, hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) and estrogen that are essential for the proper growth and protection of the fetus, strengthening of the pelvic walls, and prevention of uterus contraction.

The first week signs of pregnancy also include frequent urination especially during the night. This is due to the increase in the processing of fluids through the kidneys because of the high blood flow during pregnancy. Consumption of beverages should be avoided a few hours prior to bedtime although high consumption of water during the day is recommended. You could be having urinary tract infection if you experience burning during urination. The first week of pregnancy symptoms should prompt you to go in for a home pregnancy test or a blood test to confirm the pregnancy as these symptoms could also be due to menstruation or health problems. In any case, you should read a lot about these symptoms in order to gain more knowledge.

The early signs of pregnancy first week could begin with the lightening of your period or complete stoppage of the same. You could start experiencing nausea, morning sickness or queasiness. These symptoms can cause utter disruption to your body systems and you should take small meals at regular intervals throughout the day. The first week signs of pregnancy might also manifest themselves in the form of swelling and tenderness of your breasts and darkness around the nipples, which could become broader as well.

You will start feeling the need to urinate more often and you will get tired more easily. The other symptoms could include constipation, heartburn, headaches, and mood swings. If you start experiencing these symptoms, you should visit your healthcare provider immediately. The first week signs of pregnancy should prompt you to get serious about your lifestyle and abstain from consuming addictive substances, as these might be harmful to you and your baby.

The Best Day of the Week to Book Airline Flights

Travel experts bring the art of booking cheap airline tickets directly into your home. (Photo: BananaStock/BananaStock/Getty Images )

Related Articles

Although airlines are crafty with their fluctuating ticket prices, travel websites are working to sort out the airline algorithms and help consumers learn to book at the best times to score a good fare. Travel experts Jessica Labrencis, Peter Greenberg and Rick Seaney all agree: Booking airline tickets early in the week yields the best fares and allows you to spend more of your hard-earned travel dollars where they belong — at your destination.

Early in the Week

Most airlines lower prices or instigate sales on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, according to a study by FareCompare.com and information from Travelocity and Expedia. Therefore, booking early in the week usually yields better ticket prices than travel bookings made over the weekend. Although travel experts disagree on precisely the moment to book your seats, this early-in-the-week mantra is consistent across the board. Keep track of fare sales with email updates from travel or airline websites and book immediately when you see the sales.

Evidence for Wednesday

Greenberg narrows the search even further. He claims that Wednesday is, overall, the best day to buy a ticket. Greenberg says it plays out this way: Airlines usually instigate price jumps on Friday and wait to see if other airlines will match the higher fare over the weekend. If not, the fares will drop again on Monday, and other airlines might try to start a “fare war” to keep lowering prices on Tuesday. By Wednesday, competing airlines will have had a chance to match the price drop. But sales are often pulled by Thursday to make room for weekend price-gouging. Greenberg’s analysis of this cycle brings him to the conclusion that Wednesdays are always the best day to buy.

Evidence for Tuesday night

Expedia’s vice president, John Morrey, does not disagree with Greenberg’s findings, but he also says he does not think consumers need to wait until Wednesday to book. He reasons that because airlines match their competitors’ rates by Tuesday evening, the largest stock of cheap tickets are available late on Tuesday night. Thus, he says the late hours of Tuesday are the best time to book.

Evidence for Tuesday, 3 p.m. Eastern Time

The Best Day of the Week to Book Airline Flights

The Perfect Time

Peter Greenberg, author of “The Travel Detective Bible” and editor of the Peter Greenberg Worldwide travel website, recommends that those looking to buy the cheapest plane tickets do so at 1 a.m. Eastern time on Wednesdays. This is when airlines typically change over their pricing for the next week, meaning that the older, cheaper fares are available for only 24 more hours before they are canceled.

How It Happens

Greenberg explains that airfare cycles start on Friday and can go two ways. First, a larger airline can raise its rates late that evening. By Saturday morning, most of the major airlines have followed. But if competitors don’t match the fare, the airline that started the increase is likely to drop its rates back to close to the original level by Sunday night or Monday morning.

It also works the opposite way. In most cases, a smaller airline will start an airfare war by dropping its fares, also late Friday. During the weekend, most of the larger airlines will seek to match the fare so they can keep up.

Avoid the Weekends

Greenberg recommends that you not purchase airline tickets on weekends because the increase–or decrease–in rates can work against you. Buy a ticket on a weekend in which an airline has raised its fare, and you could end up spending too much and learn your mistake too late. Buy a ticket on a weekend in which airlines are cutting fares, and you still might not get the best deal. That’s because depending on how the lower fare is selling, another airline could jump in on Monday or Tuesday with an even better deal.

Know Your Time Zones

Most of these airfare computers are set to the airline’s national headquarters, Greenberg says. It helps to know where the airline is located, so you can purchase at a time that’s appropriate for your time zone. For instance, someone who lives on the West Coast and is purchasing a ticket from an airline based on the East Coast should purchase at 10 p.m. Pacific time on Tuesdays.

The Best Day of the Week to Book Airline Flights
